  Looking at the description of the css now tells me that I have to choose a new skill for the css. Going in deeper on skill selection, I see two options given to me.

  Active Skill - Pierce(SSS)

  Charges your next thrust with a rge amount of energy, enough to pierce through armor

  Active Skill - Swift Strike(SSS)

  You agility increases for a set period of time, making your attacks faster

  The two skills are id out before me on the status screen, and neither of them seem super helpful for me, but I need to make a choice.

  Deciding to just go with the first option, I select pierce and it is added to my skill list for swordsmen.

  Wanting to see what the skill can do, I look at the wall of the nest I was in. Thorny’s didn’t have strong armor, so I didn’t need this to hurt them, I aimed right at the stone wall. As I moved deeper into the dungeon, the walls became more and more into stone, since it was going underground.

  Reading a thrust, I first strike the wall without the skill to see what I can do at base. With a thrust forward, my sword is completely embedded into the wall.

  “Shit, that probably isn’t good for the sword” I say pulling it out. I don’t know about the strength of the bck steel my sword is made of, but the sound when I pull it out of the wall isn’t great.

  Deciding to learn nothing from this, I prepare again to test out the skill.

  When I was ready, I call out the skill to activate it “[Peirce]” And with the next attack, the wall breaks a little. It's not super noticeable, but the wall definitely has a bunch of cracks emanating from where my sword was in the wall.

  And pulling out the sword, I notice there is a lot more space in the hole as well. The strike was definitely more powerful using the skill.

  Looking back at the next seal, I noticed that it was 500 monsters to get to the next one, where I assumed I would learn swift strike.

  I had already been in here for a few hours today, and I wanted to spend some time looking around town, in an attempt to learn more about this pce. So I left the dungeon for the day, pnning on coming back tomorrow.

  I once again took my time on the way back to the city, taking in the forest during the now setting sun. The forest was nice before, but now it was even nicer.

  Taking in the beauty of nature, I make it back to the city. My first step has to be turning in the stuff I got from all of the thornys. So I walked there first.

  The more time I spent in the city, the more it was really clear I didn’t like crowded areas in town. Pushing through my discomfort though, I made my way to the guild building, where I find the familiar sight.

  I go right up to the counter and start talking to the receptionist. “Hello, I have a bunch of monster cores to turn in”.

  “Great, how many do you have?”

  “104 from the cradle of thorns’ thornys” I tell them, pulling up my backpack to give them to them.

  “And can I see your adventures id?” they asked.

  And I handed over my bronze id card. The ranks of the id cards are bronze, iron, silver, gold, ptinum, Cobalt , and Oricalcum, going with each rank as an adventure. I’m guessing that a SS and SSS rank would have another rank, but I don’t know what they would be.

  “Oh, your a F rank, but that dungeon is rated for E ranked adventures” they said, seeing the card I handed them.

  “Is that a problem”

  “Not really, but can I ask, did you hunt these monsters yourself?”

  “Of course” I said, not understanding their question.

  “Hmm, allright. Well, we will buy these from you” they said, in an annoyed tone. Then they walk behind a door and come back with a small bag of coins. “Here you go”

  “Thank you” I said, not understanding there passive aggression.

  And as I leave the counter though, I do find someone standing right behind me. “Tessa?”

  “Hi None, do you want to have dinner with me?”

  ?

  I had to go back to the inn for a little, before meeting up with Tessa again.

  I hadn’t really noticed it, but I haven't eaten food the entire time I was in Bck Hollow. Like sleep, I don’t really feel the need for it. But I do know I like sleeping, at least a little.

  As much as it feels like falling back into the nothingness I remember before waking up the first time by that tree, but I also found that comforting.

  But Tessa has asked me to get dinner for some reason, so time for food.

  Since I didn’t want to have a sword on me while getting dinner, I was dropping my sword off at my room, as well as changing my clothes since my adventure clothes were dirty from spending all of the time in the dungeon today.

  Looking through all of the clothes that I was given by Amelia and Henry, I find an outfit that looks pretty nice. It is definitely clothes for a girl though, but since I think it looks nice, I put it on and head out to go out with Tessa.

  The outfit was a tank top, under a sweater that goes down past my waist. I also put on a pair of leggings and a pair of ankle boots.

  Looking in the mirror, I thought it was a pretty cute outfit.

  She was waiting outside of the inn for me to get ready.

  But as I leave my room again, I find Amelia walking down the hallway.

  “Oh, Hi, Amelia” I say, giving her a small wave.

  “Oh, None. I have a question” she said when she saw me.

  “What's up?”

  “Do you want to have dinner with me?”

  ?

  “Um, Tessa, this is Amelia. Amelia this is Tessa” I said, introducing the two of them to each other outside of the midnight inn.

  “Oh, HI?” Tessa said.

  “Yes, Hi.” Amelia said.

  “So, um, you both asked me to get dinner tonight, and was wondering if you would be ok if we all went together?” I asked Tessa.

  When I told Amelia that I already had pns for the night, she insisted that she could come with. I didn’t think that would be fine, but agreed to ask Tessa if she could come.

  “I mean, sure?” Tessa said. “I mean, its just three girls having dinner together, isn’t it”.

  “Oh, so to you it was just two girls having dinner together? Nothing more?” Amelia asked.

  But before Tessa could answer her question, I needed to come clean about this to the both of them. I didn’t notice that Tessa thought I was a girl, and I purposely didn’t tell Amelia since I was liking the clothes she was picking out, but now if my gender was actually important, I should be honest.

  “Um, I’m not a girl” I told the both of them, my face blushing like crazy.

  This gets a strange look from the both of them.

  “... Are you sure?” Amelia asked me.

  “Pretty sure” I say back.

  “But you are dressed like a girl right now?” Tessa asked.

  “Amelia picked out my clothes when buying them” I said.

  “BUt I bought those thinking you were a girl” Amelia said.

  “I got that, but I like them so I didn’t bring it up” I said.

  “...” no one said anything for a little while, until Tessa spoke up again.

  “That's fine” she said, nonchantly.

  “Yeah… I'm still fine” Amelia said. “This might actually be better” she said something else, but I didn’t hear it.

  “Was there a chance you wouldn’t be fine with me being a guy?”

  “Nope” they both said, almost simultaneously.

  “Great, so where are we getting dinner, I don’t know any restaurants”

  “I picked out a nice pce” Tessa said. “Not nice enough to need a reservation, but definitely better than the local taverns. I did pick it so we could talk, None”

  “Great” I said, thinking about what it was going to be like.

  And with that, the three of us headed to the restaurant.
