Due to Genesis nature as a being of nearly pure energy, it could easily track anything around it. Its faux form had no problem following its flanking opponents, easily fighting both of them with each tentacle.
Milli and Lucina could feel the fatigue start to set in again, they didn’t have much more to work with. The potions effects starting to wear off.
Rushing in, Lucina traded blows with the energy tentacle, coating her own sword in her ice-like energy so as to be able to actually parry the attacks.
Even though the tentacle arced and moved at unpredictable angles and with immense speed, Lucina managed to keep up with the movements blocking every attack. Each time she blocked, a chunk of ice and frozen particles were knocked off her sword.
With how fast the two were attacking and defending, Milli could see the icy particulates start to accumulate in the area. Knowing exactly what was about to happen, she charged in launching rock after rock at the impenetrable defense making sure that it couldn’t use its second tentacle to fight Lucina.
At this point, the temperature in the area had actually dropped a little, Milli could feel the cloud of ice melt as it touched her skin, she quickly disengaged getting out of range.
With her trap set, Lucina ducked under one of the attacks and ran forward into the monster. Using the ice existing in the air, she was more easily able to create brief free floating icy platforms that she used to jump off of allowing her to fight in the air and maneuver around the creature.
Trying to stop the quick Fereece from closing in, the fake genesis tried to grab her with both tentacles while she stood above it.
Leaping at the last possible moment, Lucina avoided the two-pronged attack and froze the opposing tentacles together as she allowed gravity to pull her down.
Sword poised; she slashed the creature from top to bottom creating a large gash. Once she was on the ground, she commanded all the ice that was in the air and pulled it all into the wound she had just created.
Each of the millions of miniscule crystals rushed in and froze together so quickly, that the monster was almost instantaneously encased in a layer of ice trapping it and freezing it instantly. The air in the area becoming significantly drier as she pulled in incredible amounts of moisture to pull off such a spell.

With the creature immobilized, Milli willed a small section of the ground to leave its mother earth and begin to rapidly ascend into the air with her and Lucina travelling on top of it. “I really hope those two can keep this ridiculous thing pre-occupied, its taking almost everything I have left to get us up there.”
Floating 50ft. into the air, both warriors could finally see the core of Genesis. It was far larger up close, and the pulsating waves of energy it was giving off were overwhelming. “You sure this going to work?” Milli asked.
“Do we have a choice?” Lucina replied as they floated closer to the meta-physical body.
“Nope.” Milli stated as she readied to leap from the rock and strike. They both took a step back as what seemed to be a large translucent eye forming in the area in front of them on the creature’s body.
“Oh no.” Lucina breathed as she instantly created another frozen platform and immediately left the floating rock and hopped onto it, Milli following suit.
They had both just left the makeshift earthen elevator as one of those signature energy beams melted the entire thing leaving Lucina to constantly create platform after platform in the air as the two jumped for life avoiding every single blast aimed at them.
By the time they had elevated themselves even further in the air, Milli and Lucina were already at their limit. Each time they jumped to avoid death, her platforms were getting thinner, and thinner. It was only a matter of time until…
As the two jumped to the latest ice shelf, it broke under their weight, sending both of them plummeting to the ground. Within a split second Milli knew what must be done. Genesis was already poised to strike again. Without a means to maneuver in the air, they were literally helpless.
Never giving up, no matter how bleak things seemed. Milli took Lucina by the arm pulling her in and with all the strength she could muster. Twisting with all her might, she span Lucina around her by her arms and launched her upward commanding her gauntlets to leave and propel themselves forward taking Lucina along with her.
The exchange of movement between the two happened so quickly that not only did the force of the maneuver throw them both in opposite directions, but also moved them just out of the kill zone as another devastating blast of energy singed Milli’s hair as she watched Lucina continue to ascend while she fell.
Bewildered by the bizarre and sudden shift against gravity, Lucina found herself arching towards Genesis core. As the stone gauntlets fell apart, she readied herself and her sword. Knowing what must be done, Lucina steeled herself as she started to fall.
Aiming for what she hoped was similar to a heart, Lucina groaned in agony as she pierced through the membrane that was Genesis’ body. Burning, searing pain assaulted her senses as she dove through the dense almost gelatin-like condensed energy. Sword in both hands leading the charge, she quickly pierced through the unique substance.
She nearly let go due to the pain, but her resolve and the fact that the fate of the world rested in her hands pushed her on. Screaming from pain, frustration, and the fact that she was their final hope. She finally reached her destination and plunged the sword into the blazing mass.
