It's been a few days since I went to dinner with Amelia and Tessa, but I haven't done anything super special since then. I haven't even gone out to do adventuring stuff since then.
What I have been working on is this.
Css - Cook(SSS)
A Css given to those who wish to cook for others. They are just starting out, and will not have great skill to begin with, but if they stick with
Notice - this css is under a number of seals.
Currently, seal 1 of 21 is active.
Cook a good meal for at least 4 people 0/1
Next Seal - Css and base skill Unlock
The amount of seals for cook is a lot less than swordsmen, which means I think it has less skills then swordsmen does.
I had been spending my time at the library trying to pn a meal for 4 people, and I recently figured out what I wanted to make.
And today I was going to the Card Trading Company building to find the ingredients for the meal.
Based on what I learned, a meal consists of three parts, an opener like a sad or appetizer, an entree, and a dessert.
During my research, the desserts seemed the most fun to make and eat, and the appetizer seems like the most nebulous thing.
Like a soup or sad seems easy, but a lot of recipe books gave me a lot of options outside of that.
The st issue is the fact that I don’t really have 4 people to cook for, and am not sure if it counts myself either.
But if all else fails, I can ask Amelia and Tessa for help finding more people to eat the food I make.
I also did notice that a lot of the recipes did say what tier and rank cook should be able to make them, so I stayed with what seemed really easy since low tier low ranked cooks could make it.
The meal ended up being a basic soup to start, a chicken dish for the entree, and a cake for the dessert, but I needed to buy a lot of ingredients for it.
I had already asked and Ms. Rachel said that the kitchen at the inn was open to anyone staying there, but we did have to supply our own ingredients.
So off I went to the trading building today.
As I walked in, I was once again amazed at everything they sold here, but quickly made my way to the food section.
But I quickly realized something very important.
I have very little money, and buying this is going to be expensive if I need to make it more then one time. And nothing being positive that I can get this in one attempt, I change my pns for the day.
I can definitely make enough to buy the ingredients as long as I go hunting really hard today.
It will also give me a chance to work on my swordsmanship css while I am out there. If I don’t waste a lot of time like I did st time, I think I could definitely get through the next seal today.
Quickly running back to inn to change into my adventuring stuff and grabbing my sword, I head back out to the dungeon in the forest.
?
After a decently long day in the dungeon, I came back to town with a bag filled with monster cores, covered in dirt and mud, and one more seal on my swordsman css done.
Css - Swordsmen(SSS) Rank 6[partially sealed]
Skills
-Swordsmanship(SSS)
-Pierce(SSS)
-Swift Strike(SSS)
Notice - this css is under a number of seals.
Currently, seal 3 of 37 is active.
Kill 500 Monsters with a sword - 13/1000
Next Seal - Css Advancement
Before leaving the dungeon, I tried out swift strike on another nest, and from my guess, it increased my agility about 3 fold, making me a lot faster.
I also got confirmation that the next seal is the css advancement.
Heading back to the guild building to turn in all of the monster cores, I start thinking about my pns for the rest of the day.
The building is just as busy as normal, and once again, I am able to head right to the counter. In fact, I end up back with the same receptionist as st time.
But today, I get a very cold welcome from them. “Oh, your back. What do you have today?”
“Um, just monster cores from the cradle of thorns” I say, confused by the cold attitude.
“Hmm, I gave you one pass, but unless you can prove you hunted these, I can’t except them, especially not this many”
“What?”
“Did I stutter? We can’t accept these, since it is clear you didn’t hunt them yourself”
“But I did”
“If you can’t prove that, then what you say doesn’t matter”
“How do I prove that I hunted them?”
But before they could give me an answer, someone came up behind me.
“Oh, the cheating rich kid can’t accept that no one belives them.” A rge man says putting his arm around me, and trying to intimidate me. “Listen here, spoiled brat. Your money can’t buy you status here”
Getting annoyed at what seems to be a bunch of people making there problems about me, I barley hold in my anger.
“Get your arm off of me before I cut it off” I say to the man whose arm is around me.
And Before anyone says anything else, I activate [god’s gaze] and check this guys status.
Name: Ryan Forlong
Species:Human
Level:23
Css - Weapon Adept(D) Tier 5
Skills:
Weapon Usage(D)
Pierce(D)
Form Change(E)
[Unused Skill Slot]
This guy was only one tier above my combat css, but 5 ranks lower then me. The increase in tier is about a 2x power boost, and the normal tiers are about a 1.5x boost going up each one. Meaning a normal increase in 2 ranks is equal to one tier.
But for S to SS and SS to SSS its a much rger jump, meaning I am approximately 380x stronger then him.
“What did you say” he growled at me, grabbing something off of his back.
And before he could do anything, I elbowed him in the stomach, pushed him back and pulled out my own sword, as he fell to the ground.
“There, I overpowered a Tier 5 person, that proves it right” I say, annoyed at the receptionist as well. Trying to piece everything together, I am starting to think that someone has been spreading rumors about me. The total number of people in the guild I have ever talked to is 4, being the first receptionist I talked to, Jacob who I haven't seen since the first day, Tessa who is my friend and knows my status, and this receptionist.
“Umm…” the receptionist stuttered at what I said, but behind me, dipshit Ryan started to stand up again.
“You stupid Bitch! I’ll make you pay for that” he said, pulling out the warhammer that was on his back. Based on his css being Weapon Adept, I'm guessing his specialty is using many types of weapons.
And before he could fully get up, I moved quickly in front of him and kicked him in the crotch, having him fall over again.
But strangely, when he falls down I get a new ruler of wisdom message.
You have beaten an enemy of a higher tier without the use of a weapon.
Css Unlock - Brawler(SSS) Tier 1
Skill Unlock - Hand to Hand Combat(SSS)
I unlocked a new css for beating him without my sword.
This was good to know, but I hadn’t been trying for this css at all.
“Hmm, what do we have here?” Someone said from behind the counter. It wasn’t a voice I had ever heard before. Turning to see who it was, I found an older man, probably around mid 40’s, with a sword on his waist. “Oh, a fight broke out, and ended before I could even step in”
“Um, yes sir. Mr. Ryan came over and tried to intimidate this adventurer, since a rumor has been spreading that they have been buying monster cores and turing them in for credit they didn’t receive.” The receptionist said.
“Is there any reason people would think that?” the man asked.
“Um, they have only turned in cores from a tier 5 monster even though they are only a bronze rank adventure, and only have a B rank css, not enough to clearly be able to deal with higher tier this easily.” they say.
“Oh, well, it seems its clear they can deal with a higher rank now, so that is clearly wrong. But I agree, no B rank tier 6 should be able to do this” he said, then turned to me. “Tell me, did you lie about your rank”
Still annoyed about everything going on here, I answer sarcastically. “Bite me”
“Oh, not wanting to answer, I see. But I have other ways to get an answer, so you should just tell me”
“Like I said, Bite me”
“Hmm, fine. I’ll just check myself”
And they gaze at me intensely. And I get a message.
Passive Skill - [Appraisal Negation(SSS)] has been activated and blocked appraisal.
“Hmm, ok, seems a little more complicated. Then how about this, [Tell me your rank]” and some type of energy is in his voice.
Not sure why, but I feel inclined to answer him now, but I hold back long enough for one other voice to enter this conversation.
“Stop, or I will stop you” a familiar voice says from right behind me. “And I know you can’t deal with me”
Turing again to see who it was, I see Tessa standing behind me.
“Hmm, Ms Tessa, how can I help you?” The man says.
“You can stop integrating my friend here, Guild Master”
