Mallory never had much of a social life. Everyone around her had moved on to bigger, better things after high school: Going to college, getting well-paying jobs, or even doing professional sports. In this regard, Mallory was a failure. But this isn''''t to say she was unhappy with her life. Near the end of her senior year, Mallory adopted a pair of kittens whom she named Tomo and Chicory. They were the joy of her life and made the daily 9-5 grind at the local gas station feel far more worth it because she knew she would get to go home to her two lovely cats. That is, until the world ended. Half the stories she read online telling of system apocalypses imply the system is omnipotent, all-powerful. After a few... bugs... in her system, however, Mallory has experience saying otherwise.
