Yuno tried to dodge but it was too te as the Elf snatched it with ease.

  "Nie Ronne!!" Rhya shouted happily to see his frieing his hand on the magic stone.

  "Yeah." The elf nodded. "Now we finally gh with our pn."

  Even though it was a joyous news but for some reason Rhya could sehat the Elf was actually lying to him.

  He flinched as a bad feeling welled up in his heart as he asked coldly.

  "Why did you lie just now, Ronne?"

  Patolli was taken aback by his words and looked at Patolli in surprise.

  Rhya's face darkened when he didn't receive any answer from the Elf. He asked again but this time the question was different.

  "WHO ARE YOU?!!"

  Roared at Rhya for a few seds before a devilish grin made its way onto his face.

  "!!!"

  Unfortunately for Rhya, the gaping hole in his chest stopped him from asking anything further.

  "RHYA!!!" Patolli screamed at the top of his lungs watg his friend colpse.

  Rushing over to his downed friend, Patolli did his best to stabilize him with light magic while screaming at the other elf.

  "What's the meaning of this Ronne?!! Have you lost your mind?!"

  Hearing his screams but remaining unnaturally posed, a weird smile spread on Ronne's face as he started slowly walking fn everyone even Yuno who was pletely lost because of the ge of events.

  "I remember it all," Rotered in his own world as he climbed oar. "The day I took advantage of the boweewo mages chosen by the four leaf grimoires to give birth to a grimoire of despair. And now... I finally obtain what should've been mine all along."

  Pg the magic stoo the final slot oar, he tinued his bad-guy monologue.

  "Here is this Shadow Pace, a pce that acts as an interim between this world and the , I shall summon forth that which I desire."

  *Rumble!*

  Fitting into the slot nicely, the ground started to shake as a bck goo-like substance spread from the magic stone and covered the altar.

  From within the bck substance, a pitch-bck coffin-like object appeared surrounded by thin bck tentacles.

  Looking at the coffin in front of him, a dark smile spread on Ronne's face as he opened his arms wide and said.

  "Wele back!"

  As if on cue, Ronne's body suddenly lost strength as he fell backward and onto the ground.But before he fell, from his head floated out a small mass of bess that joiogether with a coffin.

  Feeling an unfamiliar kind of energy pulsating from the coffin, a wave of ana began to fill the room causing his grimoire to shake even more violently than before.

  *Badum* *Badum*

  With the bck mass from Ronne finally joining with the coffin, a weird ge began to take pce as the coffin started to pulse and shape itself into a different form.

  "Fufufu..."

  A dark and sinister voice echoed across the room sending shivers down everyone's spihe mass of bck mana that the coffin was transformed itself into a tall humanoid figure with a pair of bck bat-like wings, two bck horns on its forehead reag towards the sky, cwed hands, and a long arrow-tipped tail. The creature had pale skin covered by a bck coating of what could only be bck mana given its shape. The creature's face was covered in bck lines and wrinkles and its teeth were sharp, pointed, and b color while its irises were red.

  Yuno could not help but shudder as the dark mana gave him creeps.

  '...What is this...?! This... pitch bck... ana...?!'

  Patolli despite already been warill could not help but stand frozen in his spot with a shocked expression, sweating profusely.

  "Devil!"

  "Fufufu." The devil ughed now having its body summoned into the real world.

  "Although it's still inplete, having a body after 500 long years is truly amazing. Ahh, what a wonderful feeling."

  The devil chuckled indulging in its new body.

  Zagred immediately turned his attention to Patolli and began to manipute him do the Elf would fall into despair and he could seize his grimoire.

  But much to his surprise for the first time, Patolli was not moved by his words. The Elf simply stared at the Devil and chuckled.

  "Do you really think you've won, devil?... No. Because now he has no more obligations to hold baymore. Yes, I'm a fool and don't want to believe in him but now..."

  "Fufufu... Oh, you still maintain your heart despite knowing that you are just a pawn in my game. What a waste!" Zagred ughed but he anicked since he o turn a grimoire into a five-leaf one so he could get attached to it.

  Patolli issed by the devil's words and fired 'Light Magic: Light sword of judgment' at him.

  But Zagred had no ge in his rea and he simply said one word.

  "Return!"

  Something magical happened. As his voice fell, all the swords made of light magic ged their dire and charged at Patolli, catg him off guard.

  To save the Elf, Yuno swooped in with his Mana Zone, dang among the sword and dodging them while holding the Elf to protect.

  Yuno put Patolli on the ground and said seriously. "Hey, That body belongs to Captain Vangeance. I won't allow you to do whatever you want with it."

  *Bang*

  *Boom*

  While the duo were talking and attrag Zagred's attention, a loud voice echoed in the enclosed room.

  Zagred was busy looking at the two people with a pyful smile when his one arm and right chest were burst into pieces.

  It caught not only Zagred but even Yuno, Patolli, and Rhya who were on the brink of death by surprise.

  Yuno and the two Elves looked at Zagred who was so shocked that it still had not sunken into his mind that he was hit just now.

  While all of the people present in the room were either shocked or dumbfounded, nobody noticed that a figure emerged from the shadows behind Rhya.

  His body slowly rose from the pitch-bck shadow.

  Alex raised his hand and used the agic to heal Rhya's life-threatening wound.

  Rhya was startled when the pain disappeared. He raised his head, only to look at Alex.

  "You really took your sweet time, huh?"
