Still, fighting against the members of the Syer Cult was far more fulfilling and useful than fighting against the bandits, brigands, or goblins within the Painted Mountains. It was almost surreal that the dwarven warrior, despite his small stature, was much faster than he anticipated.
He was very agile, and his strength was far eclipsing Valkorion's own physical might. However, that was to be expected because if he wasn't physically that strong, he wouldn't be able to wield the dual twin waxes so effectively in combat.
Both of them looked like they weighed a ton, so for sure, it wasn't that easy to use them in real combat. His strikes were especially fast and Valkorion needed to react as fast as possible to dodge or block his strike.
In the first few exchanges, he decided solely on dodging because blocking was rather a bad idea. The physical strength of the salyer was far above his own, and dwarves had a head-start.
They were physically far stronger than humans, even without any enhancements from the Beyonder Potions. If one were to compare the physical strength of the adult man and adult male dwarf, then the dwarves are around twice as strong as adult human males.
Though Valkorion could tell that the Syer Gotrik Gurnisson was a newer member of the Syer Cult, there was no denying that the draft was exceedingly skilled with his twin axes, and Valkorion was becoming a bit tired from the fight already.
Fortunately enough, with the Excalibur on hand and his Juyo Sword Style, Valkorion was able to keep up with the dwarven Syer, at least to some degree. He knew that sooner or ter, he would lose the dwarf again because he wasn't that arrogant not to tell, and he was afraid of the severe disadvantage in the long run.
At the same time, Gotrik Gurnisson was in perfect condition and was barely tired. The difference in the aspect of stamina was tremendous, and if the fight was prolonged for longer periods, he would lose just by exhaustion.
However, Valkorion would be lying if he said that he wasn't enjoying himself too much because rarely was there an opportunity to fight against someone like this kind of skilled and with very high mastery over the martial arts.
In real-time, Valkorion felt the digestion of the Beyonder Potion for the Sequence 7 Warrior because this fight stimuted all of his instincts in Warrior and perfectly complemented the Acting Method for the Sequence 7 Warrior.
Previously, Valkorion thought that he would need more time to completely digest the Warrior Potion, but now, he knew that it would matter a minute, so he started fighting with everything that he had.
Completely ignoring the pain in his body, he hacked and sshed with his sword, as the Excaliuber cshed against the twin war axes as he was pushed back with each csh because the physical strength of the dwarven syer was no joke.
Yet, even though he was sustaining some injuries here and there, Valkorion was grinning from ear to ear, because this was what he was carving for. For most of the time, he was fighting against rather unskilled opponents that had no technique or whatever...
So, fighting against a master like Gotrik Gurnisson, who was for sure a Master in the aspect of Martial Arts at least, Valkorion was enjoying as much as he could.
Unbeknownst to him, even the syer, Gotrik Gurnisson, was rather surprised by the endurance and time that the human before him sted. Normally, most of the humans that he found in these ends wouldn't st long in the aspect of pure martial skills.
Most would end up defeated rather fast.
Though on their defense, Beyonders rarely fought with their pure martial skills, as their true power y in their Beyonder Abilities, not in their Martial Arts. That applied only when the said martial arts and its usage were directly tied to the Beyonder Pathway.
"Yar, good d... very good for someone your age."
For the first time in around fifteen minutes, the Gotrik Gurnisson spoke as he looked at Valkorion while giving the human Valyrian some time to catch up his breath, as Valkorion appreciated the gesture a bit.
Valkorion didn't even notice that since their fight started, more and more people arrived at the Grand Vontene Arena to observe the match between the two of them. Most probably attracted by the fame of the member of the Syer Cult, because they rarely fought in the Arenas and so.
Most of the Syers fought only when they wanted to Sy something, like Trolls or Dragons.
Hearing the praise from the warrior of the Syer Cult, Valkorion was rather moved because this was praise from the warrior of the famed faction for killing the most horrible opponents and achieving almost unreal levels of Martial Art Mastery.
"Thank you, Syer Gurnisson. But I fear that our match would be soon enough ending."
Valkorion thanked the dwarf as he then finished the mini-rest that was given to him so graciously. Once again, he got into the battle stance as he prepared for the final exchanges between him and Gotrik Gurnisson.
Unfortunately for Valkorion in this fight, the Juyo wasn't providing as much advantage as it would normally because both Juyo and the combat style of the dwarf Syer were the same in nature.
Exceedingly aggressive and offensive, using them against each other basically locked them in a deadlock as neither of them had an advantage in terms of combat style, though it was clear that Gotrik Gurnisson was far more skilled in his martial arts than Valkorion.
But for some reason, it was also evident to anyone with keen eye that the Gurnisson was suppressing his skills to match the level of his opponent to prolong the battle as much as possible for whatever reason.
Maybe it was out of the code of the Syer or some sort of personal honor?
That remained unknown.
Known as the fact that if the Syer fought him as the Master he was, Valkorion would have lost a long time ago.
Yet the Valyrian hybrid had his own theory about the reason why the dwarven Syer was doing this, and the answer was rather simple and straightforward.
It was stimuting their battle instincts and potential for both of them.
Gotrik Gurnisson instantly rushed toward the Valyrian hybrid as he swung his twin waraxes at Valkorion's head, as Valkorion hastily raised his sword to block the strike, which forced the man to kneel onto his right knee because the dwarven Syer delivered the strike from the air as he used all of his strength in that one strike.
Only now, Valkorion felt the true extent of the dwarf's power, and he had to admit that it was something else entirely.
In almost an instant, the dwarf nded down, as he kicked Valkorion to his chest, causing him to crash onto the ground like a ragdoll, faster than it was possible humanly observe as only the Beyonders in the stands were able to see it clearly because everything else was happening too fast for the average mortal eyes.
Just as Valkorion attempted to stand up, he was greeted by a falling axe, as he rolled on the ground to the side, dodging the war axe that stabbed to the ground.
