Pokeballs have rules and everybody, human and pokemon alike, knows them; some balls are good for using at night, others for in the water, others work better on certain Types. Better models simply catch pokemon better. In every case, there are things that pokeballs do not do. Pokeballs can be resisted, they''''re never 100% successful. And they don''''t work on humans.
