Chapter 73: A Light (Her Wife) In The Dark.

Taking a deep breath, Faith no longer knew if she should get revenge. The process was painful, practically rearranging her entire existence, but all this allowed her to slip into the locked dimension.

  A Minute Later.

Celia: “Oh, Faith?” She said with a mused smile, seeing the woman approach her.

  Faith: “…”

On the ground, Celia was dying. A pool of blood surrounded her, and the woman looked weak. She was at death’s door, yet Celia had… a solemn, calm expression on her face.

Faith: “I…” Was all that she could say.

Celia: “It’s alright, I understand now.” She replied with a giggle.

Bored, dying for an unknown reason, Celia looked inside of herself, in her soul. The veil was lifted, and Celia saw the rotting damage that was her soul.

Now so far into this unique life, Celia knew that this wasn’t anything normal, or something that could be easily fixed. She didn’t want to die, but Celia did have hopes that… one of her lovers would show up to save her. And the woman was correct.

Celia: “What is the cure?” She asked with a curious tone.

Faith: “…I must give you years to live, deying your death.” She answered, sadly.

Faith had already cleaned up Celia, and was now holding her dearly. Now aware of the truth, Faith couldn’t force her years onto Celia. So Faith had to hope that her wife would accept.

Celia: “Doing that… will it hurt you?” She asked in reply, nervous and worried.

Faith: “Perhaps if I was weak, yes. But I am an immortal, higher than anyone else, even the Wills. At most, it will lower my power by 1% for every billions of years that I give you. And my power would recover in just a mere hundred years or so.” She expined.

Weakly, Celia nodded, and Faith flooded her soul with more time to live. Even if she wanted to, Faith couldn’t give her woman billions of years.

Instead, she gave the max, which was a few hundred million. Now feeling back to usual, Celia nervously checked her Status.

Celia: “I feel… that my years, though not depicted in my Status, are depleting quickly.” She said with a depressed tone.

Faith: “That… I have a solution for. Until then, I just have to stay by your side, and top up your years every so often.” She added, trying to seem hopeful.

It all looked fine… except for her new Title. Before she could sigh, knowing full well that Faith was trying to console her with lies, the woman heard a voice in her head. And… Faith heard it as well.
