Durmagos is the only land that has not been cast into an eternal winter when the Old Magic was drawn down deep within the Earth. Now the land is surrounded by swirling, freezing mists and the only place the Old Magic can be found is in the Spring at the heart of Durmagos. However, our story doesn''''t take place in the capital, it takes place in a small village near the misty edge of the lands. Garban, a local hermit, and his son, Alef, are caught in the middle of conflict when warriors from the capital occupy their town for unknown reasons.
