Adam managed to notice these attacks but now it was too late. He raised his arms, which were still hard, and protected his head and vital organs.

  Due to the combined force of these ranged attacks he lost his balance slightly and Faust rushed towards him while firing numerous spheres of wind to keep Adam in this state of improper balance for as long as possible.

  As Faust entered close range Adam extended his right hand and gave a quick jab. Faust however lowered his body and dodged before throwing and landing an uppercut.

  The uppercut didn't due much damage but it did hit Adam's chin which nocked him further of balance.

  While all this was happening Pheobe rushed forward and thrwe a straight punch at Adam with her right hand.

  Adam barely managed to raise his other arm to block but this block wasn't proper and he suffered pushback from her punch.

  I rushed forward and shot out two spheres of wind from both my hands which lifted me off the ground.

  I flew past them and landed behind Adam. I rushed towards him and started attacking him relentlessly.

  Pheobe and Faust joined in and now the 3 of us were attacking him at the same time.

  Adam tried his best to dodge and defend what he could but due to the sheer quantity of attacks he was hit numerous times.

  Alice jumped down from the boulder.

  She moved to the left.

  "Faust. Duck." She called out.

  Fause heard her and lowered his entire body.

  Alice shot out another beam of water from her palms which were heading straight for Adam.

  However Adam was quick on his feet. He suddenly arched backwards and formed a bridge.

  With this he dodged her attack.

  He then gathered force into his arms. He used this force to propel his entire body into the air. While in the air he turned his entire body to the left and delivered a kick straight to Pheobe's head. Then he extended his left hand towards me and shot out several pebbles from his palm.

  I had to arch my back backwards the same way Adam just did. However a few of those projectiles still managed to hit me and knock me to the ground.

  Adam landed firmly on the ground. Leonard, who was still on the boulder, shoot a sphere of wind at him which he dodged by moving forward.

  He then rushed at Faust who had barely gotten up from his previous position.

  Faust tried to form spheres of wind to attack Adam but was too late.

  Adam grabbed Faust's head with his right arm and then gathered elemental energy into his right palm.

  Faust's pupils dilated and the next moment he felt immense pain in his face.

  Adam had shot out several rocky projectiles from his right palm which impaled Faust's face.

  Faust's face was now a disfigured mess. Blood poured out of every wound. Sharp rocks penetrated his cheeks, forehead and even one of his eyes. His other eye was somehow still intact and served as the only remotely human-looking thing on his face which was now a bloody and unrecognizable mess.

  Adam threw Faust's body to his left which obscured Leonard's vision for a little bit so he couldn't attack without running the risk of also hitting Faust.

  However this didn't matter since Leonard was in an emotional turmoil due to the sight he had just witnessed.

  His brother was now on the ground, with a face that resembled those of monsters that you would see in fairy tales.

  He didn't know if Faust was alive or dead.

  But he knew who was responsible and he couldn't let that man go after what he did.

  "ADAM." Leonard screamed out and jumped from the boulder to the ground.

  While this was happening Adam rushed towards Alice and threw several punches at her.

  Alice managed to evade them one by one but Adam's attacks were becoming faster and faster.

  I finally managed to get up from the ground after recovering from Adam's attack.

  Pheobe also managed to do the same and she rushed towards Adam who's back was facing her.

  I rushed to Adam's side and fired a sphere of wind at him.

  He saw this and stopped his attack to block which gave Alice time to recover.

  Pheobe lowered her body and hit Adam's lower back with full force.

  This cause him to lose his balance and his knees buckled.

  "LEONARD." I called out to Leonard who was getting closer to us.

  I then grabbed and restricted Adam's right arm. Leonard after seeing this understood why I called out to him and grabbed and restricted Adam's other arm.

  Pheobe grabbed Adam' chest and further restricted him.

  Alice put her palms together and shot out another beam of water.

  This beam hit Adam in his left chest. he tried to harden that part of his body with rocky skin but couldn't do it in time.

  The beam of water pierced through the skin, then through the muscles and finally pierced his heart.

  Adam's body went limp a few moments after that.

  He had died.

  Leonard let go of Adam's arm after this and rushed to his brother.

  "Brother." He called out while turning his brother's body around to he could see his face.

  His brother's face was a mangled mess which barely resembled a human face except for the single intact eye.

  But Leonard didn't care. He didn't care if his brother would become disfigured. He only cared if his brother was alive.

  "Brother please say something. Please." He called out to his brother.

  He checked his brother's heartrate.

  Nothing. There wasn't a heartbeat at all.

  He refused to accept this.

  He still continued calling out.

  "No brother please. Don't leave me. I can't take care of our father all by myself. How will I find a way to make money and pay for father's medicine? I only know how to fight. I don't have any brains at all. Please brother I need you. Please." He pleaded over and over again.

  Tears rolled down his face.

  He didn't care that they had won. He didn't care about the reward he would get because of what he did today. He didn't care about any of that.

  He just wanted his brother back.

  He would do anything for this. If he could he would go into the underworld himself to find his brother's soul.

  But he knew that was just a fantasy.

  His crying now wasn't just sadness. It now carried a sense of rage and anger within it. He was angry at himself for not being stronger.

  He let out a scream of anguish from his mouth. A scream filled with so much wrath that the very forest seemed to tremble and turn silent.

  "Brother if you can hear me. I will become stronger. I will persevere." He proclaimed.
