Morning sunlight seeped through the gaps in the wooden shutters, casting faint lines of light across Xu Wang’s bandaged body. He y still, his mind lost in thought.
"What happened to Yao… it could happen to Wang Li, Mother, and Xinyu too. If I want to save them... I must become stronger."
His fingers clenched the sheets tightly.
The memory blurred as guards hoisted his battered body onto their shoulders. Xu Wang barely registered his surroundings as they carried him into the cold, dimly lit sanctum. At the far end of the room stood a stone altar, engraved with ancient symbols.
"Put him on the altar," Yang Wei ordered coldly.
Xu Wang barely managed to whisper, "Power... I need power..."
A voice — low, smooth, almost seductive — echoed in his mind.
"You’re truly a hopeless one… but don't worry, I'm here for you. Ahh, those chains… leave them to me."
Suddenly, a message appeared before Xu Wang’s fading vision.

His body felt light, the pain washing away like smoke in the wind.
"Drag him up!" Yang Wei barked.
Two guards grabbed Xu Wang’s arms but faltered.
“Why... why does he feel so heavy?” one of them muttered.
Yang Shen scowled, stepping forward. "Useless." He gripped Xu Wang by the neck and lifted him with ease.
Xu Wang’s eyes snapped open — glowing with a fierce green hue. Yang Shen’s smug grin faltered.
Crack!
The mana-eating chains shattered as green energy surged from Xu Wang’s body. Yang Shen’s hand froze mid-air, a look of horror dawning on his face.
Moments ter, Yang Shen fell to the floor — Xu Wang’s glowing hand clutching his heart.
Yang Wei’s voice thundered, “Stop him!”
Two guards rushed forward. Xu Wang’s hand erupted with crimson energy as he activated the Mudhara Qi Technique. With a single thrust of his palm, both guards crumpled to the ground — gaping holes where their chests had once been. Their hearts y in Xu Wang’s hand.
He staggered toward Yang Wei, tossing the lifeless hearts at his feet.
“Take them,” Xu Wang sneered. “Use them for your pathetic sacrifices... loser.”
Yang Wei’s face twisted with rage as he activated both his Mudhara and Ajna Qi Techniques.
Their csh ignited the room. Xu Wang’s basic-level Ajna struggled to match Yang Wei’s combined power. Xu Wang’s Anahata-infused hands blocked a powerful kick, but the force sent him crashing into the sanctum wall.
Yang Wei attacked again — faster, stronger. Xu Wang dodged, barely evading the strike as Yang Wei’s kick obliterated the wall behind him. Debris rained down.
"I can’t keep taking these hits... one wrong move and I’m dead."
Xu Wang retaliated, lunging with an Anahata-infused strike. Yang Wei sidestepped and countered with a brutal spinning kick that grazed Xu Wang’s cheek, drawing blood.
The sanctum trembled with their csh, stones crumbling beneath the strain.
“You fool!” Yang Wei roared. “Look what you’ve done! My beautiful mansion... ruined!”
His aura thickened, oppressive and suffocating.
Xu Wang’s breathing slowed. He knew dodging wouldn’t be enough. This time, he would end it.
Yang Wei charged, his fists burning with crimson energy. Xu Wang’s smile returned.
"I won't die here... but you will."
Yang Wei grabbed Xu Wang’s neck, tightening his grip.
“You’re finished!” Yang Wei spat.
Xu Wang’s voice rasped through a grin. “Not yet...”
A bde plunged through Yang Wei’s chest from behind. His grip sckened as he staggered back.
He turned, wide-eyed, and found Yang Rui standing there, her tear-streaked face set in determination.
“You…” Yang Wei muttered before she twisted the bde deeper and sliced through his throat. His body crumpled.
Yang Rui fell to her knees, whispering through sobs, “I did it... Mother... I did it...”
Suddenly, bck tendrils of energy rose from Yang Wei’s corpse. His eyes flickered open — dark and demonic.
“Rui, get back!” Xu Wang shouted.
Yang Wei’s twisted form stood, now cloaked in dark energy. He muttered an ancient incantation and hurled Yang Rui away with a flick of his fingers.
Wang Li and Mei Ling rushed to Xu Wang’s side, shielding his unconscious body.
Yang Wei’s demonic form sneered. “Pathetic.” He raised his hand, energy crackling at his fingertips.
The air split behind him — a glowing rift bursting open.
From within stepped towering Entities cd in ornate armor that shimmered like gaxies. Their presence shook the room with cosmic power.
Those Entities raised their weapons. With a blur of movement, they struck. Yang Wei's corrupted form twisted and contorted before his body disintegrated into ash. The soldiers vanished just as swiftly as they had appeared, dragging Yang Wei’s remains through the crack.
The Next Morning
Xu Wang awoke to the warmth of sunlight and the sound of soft breathing. Wang Li and Mei Ling y asleep on either side of him, their faces calm and peaceful.
“I must be in heaven…” Xu Wang murmured.
“You’re not,” Yang Rui’s familiar voice teased.
He sat up, wincing from the pain.
“You’re lucky you survived,” Yang Rui said. “That monster destroyed the entire Liang Cn. You fought well.”
Wang Li and Mei Ling woke, hugging Xu Wang tightly.
“Are you okay?” Mei Ling asked, her voice trembling.
“I’m fine,” Xu Wang assured her. “But... Yang Wei said his son was sent to your home. Did he...?”
“Don’t worry,” Wang Li said. “We’re safe. Yang Rui saved us.”
Xu Wang looked to Yang Rui. “Thank you,” he said sincerely. “But what happened to them?”
“They met their fate,” Yang Rui said grimly. “But you should focus on healing.”
“What about those beings?” Mei Ling asked. “The ones that appeared... they weren’t ordinary.”
Wang Li spoke softly, “I read about them. They’re Nature’s Soldiers known as Archons— enforcers of cosmic bance. If someone disturbs the natural order, they step in.”
“Forget about them,” Yang Rui said. “For now, focus on your recovery.”
“You have the Anahata Core,” Mei Ling added. “I’ll teach you how to use it to heal your wounds.”
As Yang Rui walked down the corridor, she paused and smiled.
"You really are the one... Mother was right.
