The Arrogant Noble

standing before him. The golden embroidery on his armor, the jeweled hilt of his sword, and the arrogance in his eyes—it all screamed privileged fool.

“You’re trespassing on my family’s nd,” the noble repeated, his smirk widening. “Be a good peasant and kneel.”

Xeran let out a slow breath. Kneel? After everything he had been through? Not a chance.

He met the noble’s gaze, amusement flickering in his golden eyes. “You can try and make me.”

The noble’s smirk faltered. His face twisted with irritation. “Kill him.”

The two knights fnking him moved instantly. Cd in full armor, they drew their swords and lunged.

  Big mistake.

Xeran activated Shadow Blink—his body flickered, vanishing into the darkness. In the blink of an eye, he reappeared behind the first knight. Before the man could react, Xeran drove his fist into his armored back.

  CRACK!

The knight flew forward, smashing into a stone pilr with a grunt of pain. The second knight barely had time to react before Xeran spun, sweeping his leg under him. The armored man lost his bance, crashing to the ground with a heavy thud.

Xeran nded lightly, dusting off his hands. “That was disappointing.”

The noble took a step back, his earlier confidence repced by shock. “Y-You… Who are you?”

Xeran walked toward him, eyes glowing faintly in the moonlight. This fool had no idea who he was dealing with.

  “I am your worst nightmare.”

The noble reached for his sword, but before he could draw it—

  ROOOOAAARRR!

A thunderous growl shook the ruins. The air trembled as a massive Armored Drake emerged from the shadows.

But Xeran wasn’t focused on the beast.

No, his eyes were locked onto the silver-haired warrior standing in front of it—a woman wielding a fming sword, her battle armor spttered with blood.

Even as she faced the towering beast, her stance remained firm. But Xeran could see it—she was injured.

[New Quest: Assist the Warrior Princess.]

Xeran’s lips curled into a smirk.

“A princess, huh? This just keeps getting better.”
