In the year 2019 Earth experienced a world-wide event called "the breach" where endless waves of monsters invaded the planet through portals. Humans fought a war for two straight years without gaining the upper hand against the powerful monster hoards. It wasn''''t until world leaders came together and founded the Interdimensional Ranger Association (IRA) that things began to change in humanity''''s favor. The IRA trained people to become rangers capable of taming monsters and using them to fight. With the help of rangers around the globe the monster hordes were pushed back and scientists created the Nexus to prevent more portals from opening up on Earth.
