Yes, the ones who captured Norin were Hydra.
When they took him in for research, his mutant powers were awakened by chance.
It was then that he met her—Viper!
The blonde, green-eyed femme fatale from The Wolverine 2, Ophelia Sarkissian.
In this version of the universe, a blend of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and mutant lore, Ophelia held the position of a mid-level Hydra researcher, with considerable authority.
A master poisoner, a brilliant scientist, and a mutant with the ability to shed her skin and an immunity to toxins, she was not to be underestimated.
From the moment they first met, Ophelia was captivated by the raw, almost magnetic aura of Norin’s pheromone-charged charm.
On the very day of his capture, under the guise of “research,” she whisked him away to her private quarters, where certain indescribable activities transpired.
And it was then that Norin realized the true nature of his powers.
He temporarily acquired Ophelia’s mutant abilities, gaining enhanced resilience and a degree of toxin immunity.
For Ophelia, the experience was transformative. Not only was she utterly satisfied, but she also discovered that her own mutant powers were evolving!
The realization left her exhirated. After all, what could be better than indulging in pleasures that simultaneously strengthened her abilities?
Both parties were delighted with this arrangement, quickly falling into a shameless, hedonistic rhythm of life.
To avoid suspicion from Hydra’s higher-ups, Ophelia kept Norin close under the pretense of studying his mutant abilities. She even upgraded his living conditions, ensuring he enjoyed luxuries far beyond what he’d ever experienced, even in his previous life.
For a time, Norin’s life at the Hydra base was almost paradisiacal.
But two weeks ago, Storm and the X-Men raided the Hydra facility.
They dismantled the research division focused on the X-Gene and rescued Norin, subsequently enrolling him in the high school division of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters after extensive testing.
Interestingly, Norin had the option of escaping with Ophelia. However, after careful consideration, he chose to remain and be "rescued" by Storm and her team.
The decision wasn’t Ophelia’s to make, it was entirely Norin’s.
His mutant ability not only enhanced and perfected the powers of his female partners but also seemed to deepen their emotional and psychological bond with him.
It wasn’t just physical, it reached into the very core of their being.
Simply put, in the two months they spent together, Ophelia had become completely and irrevocably his, both body and soul. She had even become his secret agent within Hydra.
Through her, Norin now had access to cssified Hydra intelligence, information that would be impossible to obtain otherwise.
This connection was a critical asset for his future pns.
Before anyone noticed, the bell signaling the end of css rang out.
“All right, everyone. That’s it for today. If you’re interested, head to the library and borrow The Once and Future King. It’s a novel by the British author T.H. White that Professor Xavier highly recommends. If you take the time to read it carefully, you’ll find plenty of fascinating insights within.”
“Css dismissed!”
Ororo Munroe—Storm—cast a lingering gnce at Norin before turning and leaving the room.
“Norin, are you okay? You seemed a little off today. Did you stay up too te studying st night?”
As soon as Ororo left, Norin’s desk mate, a girl with long, ash-blonde hair, leaned closer with a look of genuine concern.
“Uh… yeah, you’re right. I did stay up pretty te st night,” Norin replied after a brief pause, deciding to go along with her suggestion since he couldn’t think of a better excuse.
Hearing this, the girl’s cheeks flushed slightly. Whether it was because her guess had been accurate or because Norin’s striking good looks and overwhelming charisma had gotten to her, it wasn’t clear.
“Well, don’t push yourself too hard. Make sure to get enough rest, your health is more important,” she continued earnestly. “Not every teacher is as understanding as Ms. Munroe. Imagine if it had been Mr. Summers, things could’ve gotten a lot more complicated.”
She hesitated for a moment before sliding her neatly written css notes in front of him. “Nor, I noticed you didn’t finish your notes. Why don’t you borrow mine and copy them? I’ve already memorized most of it anyway!”
Norin smiled faintly and accepted the notes. “Thanks, Kitty.”
Of course, he knew she was lying. Kitty’s mutant abilities weren’t reted to enhanced cognitive skills, so there was no way she could have memorized an entire lecture’s worth of notes so quickly.
Still, he appreciated her gesture. He wasn’t completely clueless when it came to picking up on kindness.
Yes, Norin’s desk mate was none other than Kitty Pryde, a member of the high school division and a mutant known by the codename "Shadowcat."
Her ability allowed her to phase through any physical object, herself or anything she touched. With further development, she could even enable consciousness to phase through time itself!
In Days of Future Past, she was the key to altering the fate of mutants by reshaping the timeline.
Her potential was extraordinary.
But at this moment, the girl who pyed such a pivotal role in the original storyline, and who was far more beautiful in real life than her fictional counterpart, was utterly entranced by Norin’s overwhelming charm.
Unbeknownst to her, her words and actions were starting to resemble something one might call… devotion.
For Kitty, just receiving a gentle, thankful smile from Norin was enough to leave her brimming with happiness.
Norin had only been at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters for two weeks, yet he had already become the most talked-about student.
Nearly every female student harbored at least some level of admiration or affection for him, while the male students? Many of them despised him.
“He’s just too handsome!”
“His charisma is off the charts!”
His presence was so overwhelming it left the other guys struggling to breathe.
If it weren’t for the strict supervision of the professors and staff, it was entirely possible that some of the boys might have already banded together to confront him.
Norin was certain that if any of them tried, they’d first have to deal with the protective wall of female students that surrounded him.
Despite all the attention and admiration, Norin didn’t let it get to his head.
He understood one thing very clearly: relying on others could only get you so far. True power came from within.
This was why he had come to Xavier’s school in the first pce, to grow stronger.
In two short weeks, Norin had already familiarized himself with the school’s workings and created a mental shortlist of his targets:
Kitty PrydeCrice Ferguson (Blink)Ororo Munroe (Storm)Jean GreyHe needed their abilities.
Norin’s unique power allowed him to absorb the abilities of others, but it did more than that, it enhanced and optimized them, fixing any fws and amplifying their effectiveness.
With each ability added to his repertoire, he became stronger, gradually building himself into a perfect, versatile fighter.
In a world filled with danger, this was his ultimate strategy for survival.
