Chapter 6: Axetherise

  Nautika and phoebe went to the main school building, they looked around that many students from other wings had also arrived, they had also finished their first class.   "How about you, how was your potions class?" Phoebe asked.

  "My potions class went, uh... pretty well? We were asked to make a potion to quickly heal scratches from magical beasts, but it was a bit complicated, so some of the students' potions exploded, breaking the vats," Rainer replied.

  "What about your potion?" Nautika asked. "Did it explode too?"

  "Are you trying to make fun of me? Of course... it exploded too. You know, Professor Clover forgot that one of the ingredients should be added at the end, not the beginning," Rainer said.

  They went into a room that looked like a cafeteria. It was spacious, and there were lots of Derymon flying around. They took some of the prepared food and placed it on their trays. They sat at a table near the window.

  "Wow, the food is delicious," Nautika said.

  "Derymon are truly magical creatures who are excellent cooks," Phoebe said.

  "Are they paid to work here?" Nautika whispered.

  Phoebe nodded. "Of course, they wouldn't work for free."

  Nautika looked out the window. She could see a field nearby. She saw many students playing games. "What are they playing?"

  Rainer looked out the window. "Ah, that's called Axetherise."

  Nautika nodded in understanding "But why is their opponent... Derymon?"

  "Anyone can play that game. Even magical animals like Seltzer like to play it" Rainer said.

  Axetherise is an old game from ancient Vienstorian.

  The Axetherise game, also known as "catching the fireball," is a popular game. But not many people dare to play the game since it uses black magic.

  Black magic is very commonly used. The black magic used in the game is quite dangerous, and you need to practice hard to master the game.

  The way to release the spell after playing the game is to break the fireball with a special axe. The fireball will split, and the spell will disappear from the players's bodies and the equipment they are using.

  The game is very similar to baseball, lacrosse and hockey.
