When training started, I was happy because Zane and I always run around, so our legs are strong… but then I got way too sweaty… It never ends. Never.
Zane almost fell, and I yanked him up, dragging him with me. I didn't want him to get shocked. That only worked for a while before I hit the ground.
The shocks made me convulse, and Zane started crying and writhing.
I crawled up fast when it stopped. It hurts so bad—my heart's racing so hard I can't think of anything but running. When Zane's shock ended, I grabbed him and carried him on my back, walking with him.
There's no rhythm left—everyone's just dragging themselves slowly. I sighed hard, keeping Zane with me. I can't let him get shocked…
— Mm… Rei.
— W-what? — I murmured, frowning and holding him tight.
— After I… rest… I'll carry you.
— Thanks, Zane…
I agreed slowly. Not that I want him to, but I'll probably be too exhausted to walk straight ter.
I don't know how much time passed, but I slipped in my own sweat. Zane carried me like he said he would. I took deep breaths, resting while I could.
We kept going like that until it ended. Then we went to wash up. I stood there, breathing hard, before finally pulling Zane over and scrubbing him down.
We put on different clothes—these are so dark and kinda baggy. After the bath, we ate. The food's good, maybe because we're starving. It's hard to focus on anything when you're this hungry.
I grabbed Zane, and we went to a room with mattresses. I y down slowly, hugging him, closing my eyes and breathing deep as my muscles rexed a little.
