As she awoke, Suzy y still staring at Madison. She was shocked at how the other woman had elicited such passion from her. As a practical girl she knew the difference between passion and love, but with Madison she decided she needed to be extra careful. No moving in together after a single night, like she had heard of so many other couples doing. At the same time, that didn’t mean she would be spending a lot of nights alone.

  “Ugh, enough practical bullshit, just enjoy the afterglow for fucks sake!” She silently chided herself, “Plenty of time for that ter…pretty sure I have a girlfriend, now though…whatever that means these days…or at least a mind-fucking-blowing fuckbuddy!” she smiled to herself snuggling into Madison’s warmth and drifting off again.

  It was noon before they stirred. Hunger finally overcoming sleep.

  “Hey.” Madison smiled as she whispered into Suzy’s ear. The young woman was sleeping but lightly. She awoke with a broad grin.

  “Hey, that tickles!” She mock compined. Twisting around she brought Madison in for a hug and pyfully nipped at her ear before sending a naughty hand down to squeeze very pleasant butt cheek.

  “Oh my god, don’t start me up! I’m starving!” Madison said sleepily.

  Suzy pulled back and gave her a significant look with a naughty grin.

  “Yes and no.” Madison answered, “Yes, I very much want to eat your delicious little pussy again and make you cream all over my face and, no, I’m not going to until I get something in my stomach.” she finished with a smile but also with notes of regret and apology in her voice.

  Suzy pouted pyfully and then with a little wink, “Me too!”

  Madison stretched out nguorously, tempting Suzy to try and start another round but she restrained herself. They had the rest of the day to py if they wanted. Food is what they needed now.

  “Wow! I need to open the window; it smells like pussy in here!” Madison excimed after taking a deep breath.

  Suzy ughed and replied archly “I wonder why?”

  Madison met her eyes and answered, “Maybe because two hot sexy bitches just had hours of amazing sex?”

  Suzy smiled at the compliment, “Yeah, that might be it.”

  “C’mon, let’s go get some food and decide what to do for the rest of the day.” Madison suggested.

  “OK!” Suzy replied again with her cheerful voice.

  They shared a quick, sweet kiss and then tumbled out of bed.

  Throwing on a t-shirt and a pair of shorts, Madison was ready first.

  She looked up and saw Suzy dropping Madison’s shirt from the night before over her head. It was obviously too big, but it still looked cute with the skirt Suzy had worn the night before.

  As Suzy’s head cleared the shirt, she saw Madison smiling at her.

  Suzy smiled back, with a little blush, “I hope you don’t mind?”

  Madison stepped forward and kissed Suzy soundly, “Not at all, it looks cute on you!”

  It was a quiet Sunday; the campus was barely waking up after a Saturday night. They had most of the campus to themselves as they walked. Occasional kisses punctuated their leisurely stroll.

  As they walked holding hands, Madison started thinking.

  “Well…I have a girlfriend, no doubt, that was like the best night ever…but shit my life is literally unbelievable now. That dude in the alley was scary AF! How am I going to deal with having a girlfriend and also worry about freaks coming after me. Plus, I need to call ‘Agent dude’ tomorrow morning before I go to my English css. I’m definitely going to need some help that isn’t a ‘mystical dream baker dy’…shit, I’ve got a paper to write for Government, I need to get started on that…plus that ‘Accounting’ project. I wonder if James has started on his part yet? Shit, maybe Solveig can show me some sort of witchy way to learn stuff faster? That would be awesome! But I have to learn it, no cheesing it off then looking like an asshole at my first job…” Madison was seriously lost in thought.

  “Hey! Where are you pretty girl?” Suzy asked. She had noticed Madison thinking very hard about some stuff… “I hope she isn’t like freaking out, I really like her and we had so much fun st night even before we got back to the dorm. I always thought she was really cool. I can’t believe we totally hooked up and it was like mega fireworks!” She had thought before asking.

  “Oh, sorry…just thinking about stuff I have to do for csses this week. What major are you by the way?” Madison asked. Somehow either she had forgotten or didn’t ask st night.

  “Oh, I’m in Kinesiology, and no I don’t want to be a P.E. teacher or even a coach. I think I want to go into Sports Medicine…not sure yet. It seems really intimidating!” Suzy told her. Not really surprised Madison didn’t recall, it had been an ‘eventful’ night.

  “Thats cool, I’m in Finance. Not trying to retire at thirty or anything but I wouldn’t compin.” Madison offered with a small ugh.

  Suzy looked around and seeing no one was around, she turned to Madison.

  “Oops, I think I forgot to put on my undies!” She said as she pulled up her skirt fshing Madison her naked folds and a little red triangle of hair pointing to her cleft.

  Madison was a little surprised and looked around, no one had seen but her. It still made her blush a bit.

  “You naughty little tease!” Madison jokingly admonished.

  “Ummm, I’m not teasing!” Suzy replied with a wink.

  The noon sun was warm, the smell of the trees and flowers made the walk a very pleasant one as they psed into another companionable silence. They enjoyed the cool air of the Athlete Student Dining Hall when they entered though. The attention of the men’s Soccer team was drawn instantly to the two attractive women walking in together. Luckily, all they did was look.

  Soon they were tucking into baked chicken and rice. Their athletic bodies needed the nourishment, practice tomorrow before css was going to be as intense, as always. More so for Suzy, who was a swimmer, than Madison who was on the dive team.

  As the soccer pyers left a few friendly greetings from them were shared with Madison and Suzy. Both smiling but maintaining a reserve, so they didn’t encourage the guys.

  While they chatted and looked at each other, grinning like besotted idiots…which they were, they didn’t notice they were being watched.

  In the shade of a small group of trees, outside the eating hall a pair of bck beady eyes watched them from the shelter of a bush.

  After taking their trays to the window for the washers to clean, Madison decided it was time for some dessert.

  “So, Suzy…how about I eat some strawberry pie for dessert?” Madison inquired with a sexy smile.

  “Mmm, that sounds good, but I think I want some peach pie!” Suzy replied, continuing the naughty repartee.

  Taking Madison’s hand Suzy pulled her along. Encouraging her to walk faster.

  As they neared the end of the grassy area and turned to follow a tree shaded path to Madison’s dorm room a growl erupted, and Madison was tackled by two small creatures with mottled grey green skin.

  “What the FUCK!” Suzy yelled and then started kicking one of them for all she was worth.

  “Ahh yesssss young witch’s blood is tasty” one of the things said after biting Madison, its long thin tongue cleaning its lips. Its voice was high and raspy. With bulbous eyes and wide toothy maw, it looked like a very dangerous toad that walked on two legs.

  Madison gasped at the pain in her arm and activated her hearth spell. Suzy continued a long and very inventive string of invective as she kicked and kicked at the other one.

  “You fucking disgusting pile of walking frog shit, who the fuck do you think you are coming at me and my fucking new girlfriend you absolute wad of used diapers! You walking mucus stain, did evolution take a wrong turn and just give up? You’re what happens when dark magic takes a shit! Get the fuck away from us. Oh, my fucking god, what even are you!” Suzy ranted.

  Madison’s subconscious noted that Suzy was lost in a sea of disgust and disbelief. She also noticed Suzy called her ‘girlfriend’.

  Madison did not hesitate as she had the previous night, she sang the song of fire and sent it at the thing that bit her. It was not as spectacur as the fming head of the creep, but it made the bitey one yelp in pain as a bck spot was burned into its skin.

  At this the bitey one grabbed the object of Suzy’s frenzy, pulling it back to the brush saying, “Grotulf, come, they have already taught it some magics. And sent it a ulfrgaelir guard!”

  “Yeah, get the fuck out of here, you, you, assholes!” Madison commanded…instantly regretting her ck of inventiveness…Suzy had really outdone herself.

  “Oh, wow! Are you OK!?” Suzy asked in a shocked whisper, moving instantly to Madison.

  Madison’s arm was still bleeding pretty badly. She was going to need to see a doctor for sure.

  “I’m probably pretty far from OK, I think…” Madison replied.

  “OK, lets go back to the chow hall and see if they have any clean cloths we can use to bandage before we go to the campus clinic?” Suzy suggested.

  “Yeah, let’s do that…oh and ummm, I don’t think we should tell anyone what attacked me.” Madison said.

  “Yeah, really weird how those racoons were just vicious! I bet you’re gonna need rabies shots!” Suzy said.

  “Ummm yeah, well let’s go” Madison agreed.

  “Racoons? I know for a fact those weren’t racoons… Is she rationalizing what she saw? And what is a ‘ulfrgaelir’? That one thing called Suzy that…” Madison thought to herself.

  As they turned the corner, they ran into some of the soccer guys from earlier.

  “Oh, hey are you all right? Jack, go open the door! An, call 911! Hi, I’m Aaron, can I help you get inside?” One of them, a tall nky Hispanic guy, introduced himself after directing his friends to help.

  “Thanks, yeah umm, I can make it. Can you see if the staff have some clean towels?” Madison asked.

  “Yeah sure!” and Aaron was off like a shot.

  Soon they were inside the dining hall, and they had wrapped her arm while waiting for the emergency responders to arrive.

  Madison was being examined by a paramedic. She was a no-nonsense gal who could probably out bench-press Aaron. Her nametag identified her as ‘Smith’.

  “You’re gonna need stiches.” Smith told her, confirming what she was already thinking.

  “The clinic nurse should be able to sew you up and give you some light pain killers. She can also talk to you about any other concerns you might have.” Smith continued.

  “Let’s get you on the gurney and we can take you over there.” the paramedic continued.

  “I can walk over its not that far really.” Madison suggested. Smith’s answer was a stare that said, “Don’t be stupid and let me do my job”.

  Aloud Smith said, “I don’t think that’s the smart thing to do.” Her demeanor brooking no disagreement.

  “OK, fine.” Madison relented.

  “Can I ride over with her?” Suzy asked.

  “Well, we’re only supposed to allow family…but it’s less than five minutes so OK.” Smith replied.

  “We’ll meet you at the clinic to finish up your statements.” Campus Police officer ‘Steve’ informed them.

  “When had they gone to first names for these dudes? Trying to make them more approachable? Whatever…” Madison thought.

  Aloud, she said “Yeah sure, but it was just some animals…”

  Madison let herself be strapped to the gurney by Smith and her partner, Madison hadn’t gotten a look at his nametag yet.

  So you are sure it was animals? Those don’t look like any kind of bite I’ve seen before.” Steve the Campus Cop questioned.

  The bite was…odd. The outline was…curved, but in a perfect half-moon shape. The tooth marks were deep and evenly spaced on Madison’s arm. The bite did not look like anything any of the people looking at it had ever seen. That said, both Suzy and Madison maintained it was from an animal…or ‘racoon’ as Suzy insisted. Madison just referred to them as animals. Not able to forget their bck, aqueous eyes and high, raspy voices.

  Suzy jumped in, she could tell Madison was feeling really tired, “Look how many times do we have to tell you, ‘Steve’?”

  “Ms. Derry, Ms. Arkiomaa, thank you for helping us, I hope you feel better soon, if we have any questions we’ll give you a call.” Steve replied in his best calm soothing voice. He was worried about liability for the University. Additionally, both of the dies were here on athletic schorships, and he didn’t want to be accused of scking by anyone…this was too good a job to put at risk.

  “Sorry dude, I just got a little frustrated” Suzy said in apology.

  “I understand, you are very concerned for your friend. Try to have a nice rest of your Sunday.” Steve said as he left.

  The nurse, Abby, said “OK Madison, that’s all I can do for you today. Remember you absolutely must come in on each of the four dates I’ve told you so we can give you the rest of the shots to protect you from rabies.”

  Madison was pretty sure she wouldn’t need the shots, but it couldn’t hurt and refusing them would arouse too much suspicion.

  “Definitely calling Agent guy tomorrow.” She thought as they made their way out of the clinic on their way to Madison’s dorm.
