18- Library of Consciousness

At the same time, Dian chose to visit the afterlife model he created for those who would follow him.

The creator of the afterlife model himself, Dian modified it a bit. Since he could accept the dwarf and the undead as the subordinate race under him, there would be more in the future.

Since that was the case, he changed the connection of the Library of Consciousness, allowing the subordinate race to enjoy the same treatment as the human race.

This was considered a small benefit that Dian wished to give to his followers.

There was also another reason why he had to come to the Library of Consciousness.

Dian could see a scene no different from the human civilization on the Cerulean Pnet at the inside of the Library of Consciousness.

It was because the pce was constructed from the memories of the Nafs that inhabited it. Of course, the situation for every Nafs was different.

Some were enjoying their stay at the Library of Consciousness while others suffered greatly.

Dian manifested himself with his appearance. A bck suit and long bck pants that matched it.

The Nafs realized that some entity had descended upon their pce. They could feel a connection between their current pce and Dian.

Dian took a deep look at each Nafs, checking their current situation. He scanned them thoroughly so that every detail that they had was known to Dian.

The setup of the afterlife model was this…

First, the Nafs who recently died were pulled to this pce where they would serve their due whether it was good or bad. There was a way to prove it.

And that was to provide help to the living by connecting with them. Whatever the Nafs provided to the living human should be helpful to humanity and civilization. Otherwise, the Nafs proved to be harmful and would undergone a quarantine process in which they could not connect to anyone living.

Second, the Nafs who provided information that was helpful to humanity formed a legion of helper. They formed a legion for the cause of advancement of civilization as a whole which was what Dian wanted to see.

As Dian looked through them, he found out that a small amount of them were the dwarves who recently just died. While the majority of the Nafs at this pce was human but dwarves were starting to fill it. As for the undead, they were the unfortunate ones as they could not enjoy this.

But as a result, they could stay in the living provided they were in the rich Undead Element pce. Otherwise, their Nafs too would enter this pce.

So far, Dian did not see any of the undead race so he could only wait until the moment arrived to see what appearance the undead had in this pce.

Then, a man with the appearance of a youthful male in his twenties walked to Dian. Dian on the other hand recognized the figure.

“Hello, Father God Dian. What brings you here?” the man asked.

“I am about to ask you the matter regarding the information that your legion provided to humanity. Is it delivered, Kudungga?” Dian wanted to confirm some things.

“Oh, that matter. We have provided the information to the humans who choose to be in a suitable condition and mindset. The problem arose as they could not fully process this information. We have assumed that it is because their connection to us in the Library of Consciousness is not perfect, including one who you are looking for, that girl Charlene.” Kudungga gave his report.

Kudungga was the one who favorably looked toward favorably to Dian. And he also had a surprising achievement during his life and the organization that he had built even affected the current Cerulean Pnet even as of now.

“Perfect Connection…perhaps you should look at this boy here.” Dian nodded at Kudungga and offered to the man a look to the target he was supposed to seek.

Kudungga used the connection he had to the living through the Library of Consciousness and found out that the connection of the boy to this pce was surprisingly strong.

“Father God, do you know about this boy?” Kudungga could not help but ask as the matter was extremely important.

“Of course. He is likely our first Perfect Connector from the human race. He is currently in the territory of the Heavensend Kingdom. But…” Dian refrained from saying more as it involved a certain future.

“But what? Is it something horrible? Wait…the Hinon Federation is about to attack the Heavensend Kingdom with atomic bombs…don’t tell me!” Kudungga first assessed the current situation before he realized what would likely to happen to the boy.

“No, he will not die from that. But that itself is the issue.” Dian as the Pnet Master of his own pnet could see certain moments in the near future but not the distant future. This ability was somehow avaible to him when he raised his rank.

  “What will happen to him?”

“He lives his life with difficulties. Always.” Dian wanted to interfere but when he wanted to, he saw that the outcome would become detrimental to the development of the human civilization as a whole. Dian could not allow himself to sacrifice the whole civilization's progress just to save an individual.

Dian knew that this was sacrificing the few for the greater good but facing this directly in the face made him feel like a man who did not have the power and capability to prevent this from happening. He looked like a pathetic figure who could not help anyone.

Knowing the future of the boy but could not do something just because the civilization’s development would be greatly affected was torture to Dian.

He had an affection for the human race so he loved them as if they were his child but now it felt like something within him moved.

Dian also thought about the war that the humans had waged over the years and could not help but feel that he was no better than them. So he steeled himself, let it go, and moved on.

He could not help but do this since he wanted human civilization to advance to be better. He could only compensate them for their stay in the Library of Consciousness. That was all he could do to make himself feel better.

It was selfish of him but he was the Pnet Master of the Cerulean Pnet so it was within his power and authority to do that.

“No matter what happens, we must move resolutely. We can only use this event as a reminder of what we should prevent.” Dian said this after a long time.

“Look!” Kudungga then pointed to a certain pce within the scenery.

The pce was a ft field with several crops on the verge of harvesting and several hills on the edge of the field. In the middle of the field, the silhouette of a young boy appeared.

“It is the boy himself. Yes, this time is supposed to be his first time connecting directly to this pce. Let me go to him.”

Then Kudungga, Dian, and the rest of the Nafs there gathered around the young boy.

The young boy had the appearance of a human at seven years old, with short bck hair, bck eyes, a baby fat still on his face as well as the clothes fitting that of his age.

The young boy’s eyes looked bnk as the crowd had gathered there. Later on, the eyes of the boy focused and a shining light emitted from it.

“Where…am I?” the boy asked in confusion. He had never been to the pce he saw here so he was confused.

“Welcome, little boy. Do you want to listen to me first?” Kudungga moved a bit forward so that the little boy noticed him. Dian was looking at this and could not help but marvel at the ability of the boy.

The boy looked at Kudungga and said, “Yes. And please expin properly what this pce is.”

While the boy said that, a trace of a thread-like thing suddenly appeared and then automatically connected to Kudungga. Kudungga who had seen this could not help but sigh.

The boy then became stunned, as if he received something important.

Dian who saw this knew that this was the assimition progress. Any human on the Cerulean Pnet sometimes experienced this. It meant that the experience of the deceased was shared with the host.

Of course, there was a negative to this. That was when the host could not distinguish between his memories and the deceased. Some of the humans even mistakenly thought that they were the reincarnation of the deceased which was wrong.

The flip side to this was that the human gained experience and knowledge beyond their current reach, easily learn it in this fashion.

After some time, the boy then gasped in surprise.

“Uncle, is that true?” the boy asked innocently. He had suddenly experienced something that had not happened in his entire life but spontaneously appeared.

“It is true, boy. It is what I have experienced in life.” Kudungga patted the boy on the head while reminiscing about the past.

The boy could not completely grasp the intricacies of what Kudungga had said and only smiled slightly at Kudungga.

The boy continued, “Then is Uncle actually an influential figure? Because Uncle has created an organization to protect humanity…”

“Okay, that is enough for now. Little boy, let me introduce you to the most important figure here. You’d better remember him.” Kudungga shifted the boy’s head slightly so that the sight of the boy caught a glimpse of a man in a bck suit and long bck pants.

The boy was a bit dissatisfied but looked at Dian’s appearance with a bit of curiosity in his eyes.

“This boy is currently connected here through his dream. So, what is your dream?” Dian could not help but ask as a form of confirmation.

“I want to make my orphanage and my little sister happy!” The boy said with a smile pstered all over his face.

“Then I can only wish that your dream will come true through your effort.” Dian said softly before he let out a sigh.

“Oh, what is going on?” the boy’s body became more and more transparent as if the boy’s figure would disappear at any moment.

“It is time for him to wake up. Little boy, there is something that I need you to answer seriously. Would you listen?” Kudungga realized that the phenomenon happened because the boy was about to wake up from his sleep so he asked for a st time.

“What is it Uncle?” the boy did not even know exactly what happened but just flow with the event and entertained Kudungga.

“If you have the power to gain experience from the deceased, what will you do with it?”

“I will help the people dearest to me…” the boy started then continued, “…then I will help people that truly need help. Not those fakers who create hardship for me. And then I want to also be someone who can contribute to society.”

Those around the boy knew that the boy’s answer was the most innocent possible due to the boy’s situation. But they found it to be sincere so they could only hope that the boy never changed.

“Alright!” Dian interrupted and then pced his hand on the shoulder of the boy and said, “The boy here is about to wake up. You all will meet again ter so be prepared.”

Then Dian looked at the boy and said, “Tatsumi, I hope that you can truly do what you said here. Can you promise me with this?”

As Dian said that, he extended his pinky finger. This gesture was famous in the Heavensend Continent and Heavensend Kingdom as a gesture for binding a promise.

The boy’s eyes lit up and he extended his pinky finger to hold Dian’s and hooked it up.

“It’s a promise alright.” Dian nodded in agreement.

The boy unexpectedly engraved what he saw at this moment and it was etched deep into his mind before he disappeared from the Library of Consciousness.

“Wow, to think that a Perfect Connection human will appear right here and then is a great observation point to me.” Dian got into thinking that perhaps he should do something about this situation.

He suddenly remembered something and using the connection from the Library of Consciousness, he directly connected to someone he often looked at.

It was because he needed both the young boy and this person to colborate and cooperate in order for the human to become stronger.

Dian believed that the colboration between the two would create a better environment in which human civilization could develop better.

After that, Dian disconnected the connection as he had sent the message that he wanted that person to receive.

“Now then. Let’s continue our discussion about the situation of the human race. What is it that caused the people from Heavensend Kingdom to act that way? Do you know?” Dian knew the answer but wanted it to come from Kudungga himself as he was responsible for managing the legion sent to the humans.

“Hmm, a certain group of Nafs here who has been quarantined caused all of that. I am sorry for not doing anything to stop them.” Kudungga lowered his head, feeling like he was responsible for the event.

“No, you are only a warner. That is why I designed this pce to quarantine those who hamper the development of the human race. Furthermore, they have to prove themselves to me if they want to be free from that.” Dian knew everything inside the Library of Consciousness so he could perceive those in the quarantine.

Truthfully, he felt a bit of pity because one of them was the first human he had interacted with albeit indirectly.

But since the group had made their choice, they had to face the consequences of their choice. Dian did not restrict the free will of the individual under him because it would be counterproductive to the mind development.

Dian watched as those in quarantine could not do anything and felt like they were in pitch-bck darkness with no source of illumination.

After some time, Dian stopped looking at them and gathered some of the analysis that he had gathered to prepare to develop the human civilization more.

One of them was to prepare some Auxiliary Cards.

Auxiliary Card had helped Dian’s human civilization to develop in the direction he wanted and also helped during the Star Battle so Dian wanted to maximize their use for his benefit.

But he previously cked the information about the Auxiliary Card so he had only chosen two out of the four slots avaible.

But since he had gone to the Pnet Master Service Center and the [Forum], he had an idea that he wanted to try.

Furthermore, his energy points were enough to buy those cards. The only problem was that he was still hesitant about choosing suitable cards for the human race.

It was because he wanted to find the most suitable card for the human race. And it would be even better if the Auxiliary Card could complement the foundational ability of the humans.

In the accommodation area within SS Bruce, Charlene slowly opened her eyes. She seemed to receive another instruction that directed her to meet a certain someone.

“Hmm.” Charlene got up from the bed and knew that an important duty had been given to her. She knew that the source of this came directly from the one people called Father God.

“I have to look for a seven-year-old boy in the territory of Heavensend Kingdom, within the Bornea Region.” Charlene gathered the newly acquired information and then compared it to the campaign she was currently in.

“That region is suspected to be the headquarters of the Snatcher. And it is also the designated location for our atomic bomb to strike. What should I do?” Charlene thought about it and decided to do her own investigation.

Since the Father God had given her this information, there should be something that she could do to be able to meet him.

Charlene put on her formal clothes and got out of the room.

She headed toward the bridge to see the commander of the ship. She wanted his cooperation to gather intelligence about this boy she was looking for.

“Miss Charlene, is there something you need?” Bruce upon seeing Charlene knew that an important matter was going to be said.

“I am sorry for bothering you like this Admiral but I have a request. I hope you can help me with this.” Charlene stated.

“Go on.” Bruce said in a calm manner while looking at Charlene straight in the eye.

“I am looking for a seven-year-old boy, an orphan in an orphanage called Nine Suns Orphanage within the Bornea Region in the Heavensend Kingdom. This is extremely important so please don’t alert our enemy with this.”

Bruce furrowed his brow as he heard Charlene’s request. Searching for a specific person was not easy, especially if the person was actually a citizen of the enemy kingdom. But since Charlene was the one who asked and also knew enough not to alert the enemy, he was going to try to curry favor for her.

He had heard that Charlene was the youngest person to be a scientist at the Hinon Science Institute. Not only that but the atomic bombs that the fleets carried were also her result. He knew that the Hinon Federation pced importance on her as a person.

So he would also do his best to help Charlene.

“Alright. I will also send some of the manpower to assist you in searching for this boy. I won’t ask the reason so please calm your mind.” Bruce said as he could see that Charlene was burdened by some thoughts that he did not know.

“Thank you for your assistance, commander.” Charlene replied with bright eyes.

With this, the Hinon Federation fleet swiftly advanced toward the Heavensend Continent.
