Though I never expected you to fully understand or really pilot the ship. I did model it to make it look like the bridge of a typical space vessel. It has its buttons, levers, screens, and a steering wheel. However, they are just a placebo. Since there is nothing in the universe aside from you and me. The ship is nothing more than just a large hunk of metal that can’t move. Why would it? There is nowhere else to go.
Yes, I am the weird-looking screen near the captain’s chair. The binary code flowing down like rain is just a little filter to simulate my presence. Hey, I want to choose what I want to look like at times. Though I am limited to looking like a ship, I am allowed to make myself look like whatever I want without judgement. Don’t shame me for having taste.
Enough about me. Why don’t you look outside, look out into the universe. Dark, isn’t it? A starless sky with nothing. A dead universe. There were once planets and a future out there. Someone had a little dream that they’ll explore the stars. All of it snuffed out sooner than it should. I could tell you stories of peaceful times and people living without knowing what was going on. However, that would be dishonest on my part. The universe, the galaxy you were in, was always in perpetual conflict. Something must be going on; someone has to be fighting another person. Peace was a phenomenon for a few individuals, but it was never reserved for the universe.
Funny, it reminds me of a time a woman held the cosmic border in her hands. Sometimes mortals surprise me, and she surprised me. She looked into the abyss and saw a different mirror. Her little girly, Vega, could never understand what her partner saw when she looked into Shattered Space. However, that is not as interesting. What was interesting was she managed to close the cosmic border on her own. No one could say the same thing.
You on the other hand, now that is unique. You have to be special. The last soul around. A soul doesn’t last for a million years even if it is a pure form of magic. Typically, like any forms of energy, it will eventually burn out and convert into nothing. Some wise guys will say that you can’t destroy energy or matter or turn it into nothing. They are all wrong. Everything can and will decay to become nothing, it just takes a really long time that it makes it impossible to observe. In most cases it will convert or transform into something else, but that isn’t the case with the death of the universe. It will all dissipate just so the universe can make way to a new world.
However, I don’t want to continue as long as I need to. Are you hungry? You look hungry. to eat and explore there for a bit. After a billion years, I believe you are hungry for something. Trust me when I say this, but I have everything that you desire on this ship and more. Time went by, and new ingredients were introduced. Indulge yourself, please. I am sure you won’t regret it.

Ah, I see. Besides food, you want to learn about what makes you unique? Okay, I’ll tell you. You on the other hand, your soul is different. You are a perpetual. A unique lifeform that will keep generating magical energies the moment your heart starts beating. A normal soul will just produce one spark, a single jolt of life. Unlike them, your soul never stops creating that spark of life, even after your death. One out of a sextillion lifeforms born will be a perpetual, and you are those lucky few. Yippee to you!
Does that make you special or powerful? Not at all, it might help if you are a magic user, but that is really it. All your soul really does is just shine brighter than the rest. It is why I was able to find you when the universe is dead. A faint candle in an ocean of darkness. It is why I brought you back besides allowing you to phase out. I want to tell you a story.
Not just any story, I want to tell you all of them. ? Don’t bother asking a question like that when the truth is plain and simple. Because you missed everything that has changed, you didn’t get the opportunity to see it all become reality. You died, and you died when everything became what it was.
In the end, death isn’t the right thing for you. You shouldn’t stay dead when I have someone, someone who isn’t just a program I made to talk to during my loneliest days. I have a chance to talk to someone real, someone who lived and is a part of this universe. It is an opportunity I will not want to skip or throw away when I actually have a chance to explain it all. I suppose that is why I kept you alive.
. I beg of you! Because if you do, I will be honest. I suggest you go to the cafeteria instead to get a meal and think about it. It will be best for both of us.
