  Any area in the world that had nuclear missile silos were quickly vaporized to ash along with the people near them. Being in Florida the ground wobbled like multiple high level earthquakes. Toppiling every picture frame off the walls and sweeping people off their feet.

  Rocket launches from Earth made me think there was a counter attack by us to head them on. But those rockets were huge and looked like passenger vessels. Some people must have had inside Intel on what was coming to already be ready to leave. Preparations for launches seemed seriously slow on the vids. They didn't make it far.

  Multiple huge glowing grids lined the sky above the leaving ships like football stadium fly swatters. The ships obviously didn't have the dexterity to change their trajectory and most flew straight through the nets which cut through them like an apple slicer. A few late ships decelerated for a relanding but were shot by the descending alien ships. Purple lasers engulfed and disintegrated them before touching ground.
