  And the list just continued on. Eventually it became a mess of random characters I couldn’t read, which based on what I understood, meant it wasn’t a nguage. But even before it got to that point, there were hundreds of csses I had.

  It made no sense to me. Looking at the first one, I guess that was my main css.

  The elf women next to me started in anticipation. “So, what does your status say?” she asked.

  But I didn’t want her to know about all of this, so I went with the second css I had access to, that being swordsmen.

  “It says I am a swordsman” I say. “But what are these two things after it? The letters and the rank?” I ask.

  “Those are the tier of your css, and the rank is how many evolutions your css has left. It normally starts at 6, but I have heard of rumors that some people have one start at 5, or even a hero having one start at 4” She expined to me.

  “Oh, so what do the letters mean?”

  “That is the tier. To expin, an A tier css is stronger than a B tier of the same rank. BUt a B tier of a higher rank will beat a S tier of the lower rank”

  “So a higher rank is better than a higher tier. And since it's a rank 6 css, I need to be careful” I said.

  “Yep, pretty much. If you have a much higher rank, like an A tier going against a D tier of a higher rank, then that won’t be too much of an issue for them?”

  Looking at my status, I notice the SSS tier swordsmanship css, and wonder what I could go against with that. “What is the highest tier of css?” I asked the women.

  “That would be the SSS tier, but no one has seen that in ages. Notably nowadays, the highest is the SS tier” she told me.

  “But what if a rank 6 SSS tier css fought, who could they take out?”

  “Basically anyone. Past A tier, the growth is exponential from one tier to the next. A SS tier is about 10 times stronger than a S tier, and that would go the same for SSS tier.”

  “And what about the skills under the css?” I ask.

  “Those are the skills you have access to. Which ones do you have for your css?”

  “Just swordsmanship”

  “That is a passive skill that increases your knowledge of using a sword. You can also obtain active skills that are like special moves. You will learn those with time as you level up”

  “Got it.”

  “And after a while, you will receive the css advancement. The amount of time is arbitrary, but when you do, you will receive a number of options to increase the rank of your css. With that, sometimes your tier will progress as well”

  This elf woman was being extremely helpful in my understanding of this system, as much as I don’t think any of it matters to me. I mean, my css is SSS tier already, and I have another that is rank 0, something that doesn’t seem right. And my level is just a corrupted text, just like my name.

  “Thank you for telling me all of this” I told her.

  “Of course, us higher ranked adventures need to be of help to newbies. I am Tessa, just so you know”

  “Thank you, Tessa” I say, and she walks away.

  And I go back to my paper and fill out most of it.

  I probably should have asked if I needed magic or a special skill, but Tessa already walked away, so I just put down none.

  But I still had the problem that I had no name. I would probably need to give them one, and I come up with a pretty dumb idea.

  So I write it down and head back to the counter.

  “Here you are” I said, with a smile. It felt strange, but I had to hold back my ughter. I gave them back the paper, with my lie and joke listed on it.

  “Thank you for filling this out” the receptionist said while looking down at my paper. “None”

  ?

  Tessa walked away from the girl and was just confused.

  “There is no way she is just a Rank 6 right? And just a swordsman? Then why can’t I detect them?” She said to herself while pacing around outside of the outside of the guild. She had forgotten to get the girls name, so she was waiting for them to return to ask for it.

  She was curious about them, but also terrified. What kind of being could not be detected by spatial detection?

  But they were cute and nervous, what she would expect from someone like them. They didn’t act like some kind of demon god or some spirit from before time. They acted human.

  So she waited.

  And eventually they walked out of the guild, with a smile on their face.

  “Um, hello again” she said, trying to get the girls attention.

  “Oh, Tessa, what are you doing here still? I got my first job as an adventure, so I was going out to do some work” they said.

  “There is just one thing, I forgot to get your name” Tessa said to them.

  “Oh, well” They said, holding back a ugh. “Well, I am None”

  ?

  After telling Tessa my name, I walked around the town trying to find the northern gate. I had come in the southern gate the day before, and had to head to a different pce today.

  It takes me a while to navigate the city, partially do to the fact that I kept avoiding bussy streets. It became clear while I was in the adventures guild, but I am not super ok with people watching me, or being in a pce where someone can watch me to be more specific.

  It just makes me uncomfortable.

  But given some time I found the exit to the city. And thanks to my new id from the adventurers guild, I am able to leave and enter the city without paying any fee.

  The job I had gotten for today was entirely a pretense though, because I wanted to test out a few of my skills.

  As I got used to having access to my status, I started to get an intrinsic idea of what some of my skills do. And one of them is what I want to test out.

  So I look around for something to use the skill on.

  At some point, I find a bunny with a horn in its head. While looking at it, I say the name out loud.

  “[God’s Gaze]”

  And a panel like the one for my status opened in front of me again.

  I am also able to look at it in more detail, which gives me a little more data.

  Confirming that I can look at other people's skills, I move on to looking at the grass.

  The grass has no special information, even if I look deeper into it. From there I try to find something specific. After a while I find a flower in the field with a golden color.

  Sun Dandelion

  A flower used to make certain potions by an alchemist

  This was what I was hired to find for the guild. Each one is worth around 1 copper coin, the second smallest coin in the currency. I can sell as many as I can find.

  Then, I activate another part of God's gaze.

  Thanks to some intrinsic knowledge of my skill, I know it can do a lot of things. The main ones being the appraisal ability, and the detection abilities, but it can also be used to search for things.

  As I activate this new part, the world turns monochrome. But looking at the ground, I can see small parts of color, a golden flower in the distance.

  The skill has a search function. Using this, I am able to find a bunch of the flowers with very little trouble.

  The only thing stopping me from getting more is the ck of any bag.

  “I should probably buy one” I said to myself, carrying all of the flowers back to the city.
