Norman was the first of the group to be awake the next day, smiling as he headed downstairs and had the money for an actual breakfast. Sure, one stay cost them 30 bucks total with breakfast and everything, but it was totally worth it in his books.
As a drink, he tried that Tea Goron always talked about, thinking that something his friend enjoyed would at worst make an interesting conversation topic, and at best give him something new to drink in the morning.
Thus, when the hot red beverage arrived, he began to sip it, burning his tongue on the first attempt, and wondering how Goron managed to drink it without any problems, even as he already overheated from the simple act of walking.
When the tea had finally cooled down enough for him to drink it, it tasted good enough, not something he would enjoy much more than just drinking water, but definitely interesting.
It was when his friend came down to sip on his steaming cup that Norman wondered.
"Why are you drinking something this hot when it's already too warm for you?"
He asked, Gorons answer confusing him even more.
"My body starts sweating this way, helping me cool down and challenging my self infusion skills. Maybe I will soon... ah, there it is."
"Took way too long for that skill to manifest, but now that it did, we can go on an adventure right away, you got the adress?" Goron asked, norman still busy eating the breakfast his friend had seemingly inhaled.
As Norman continued eating, Goron went to grab the information, receiving an adress and two sets of clothing with the request to wear something thst would not get them arrested.
After a bit of complaining, they both went to put on the outfits and headed to the adress.
Again, they somehow ended in a rather rich neighbourhood again, their suits actually fitting the environment for once as they knock. A butler opened the door for them, the building much more colourful than anything visible in the area around it, the old man from the last evening slowly coming down the stairs.
"Hello, I want to hire you for a simple mission. ninety cnar and the potential for further jobs if you complete, no way I'll ever talk to you again if you reject it. I have something in my dungeon I need you to help me get rid of, just don't tell anyone about it and make sure it's dead when you get out."
Both of them agreed immediately, sitting in the mysterious guys cellar about half an hour later with mouths agape.
A notebook was next to them, detailing all previous attempts at killing what was in front of them. A lizard, restrained and regenerating from any damage. Both of them grinned as Goron began inserting silver needles and infusing his hand with fire energy.
What was detailed as hard to inflict barely took them an hour to perfect.
Goron used all of his willpower to make his hand into one of stone and melt it using fire, the new title resonating with his actions and supporting it, as his hand became one of white hot rock, barely kept together as it melted the flesh that tried to reform around him.
They had attempted beheading, which failed, and many atracks on the beasts chest.
Goron went through the eyes, taking the beasts brain and squishing, drinking the joice the action produced as he slowly ripped the lizards insides apart, eating them and sticking silvery needles from the inside out.
The beast did not have time to scream as it was eaten alive, any organs that did manage to reform immediately joining the others as goron made sure to keep it dead. He soon realized that the parts he ingested were destroyed before they could reform.
"This should stop the magic. Now we need to destroy the skin."
He commented, Frostbite using the command as an excuse to just tear it alive.
When they left the dungeon on the same days evening, Norman was absolutely disturbed and the old man joined his disgusted expression.
"Finally came up to ask for advice from a seasoned monster hunter? Let me tell you, a Norg can regenerate very fast. You need to..."
"Destroy it completely, we know sir. We are here to tell you that the beast is dead."
Norman explained, the old man almost loosing his face as he svrambled to pick up his jaw from the floor.
"We ate it alive from the inside out. It was disgusting, but it was absolutely worth it."
Goron said, grinning as the old man gave them the money and just shook his head.
"You know what? I'll help you find a good base. No way talents like you will be wasted in some tavern."
He explained, though Gorons look was glased over as he was much more determined to consider his stats.
"That sound like a good moment to put a point in willpower and one in Agility."
He commented, everyone around him growing silent as they stared at him in disbelief.
"Just come again tomorrow, and I'll bring you to a shack that should be a good place for you to work in. Just bring me any talented adventurers you find, maybe I can train them to follow my way. The two of you are a little too effective for my taste."
Thus, they were thrown out, grinning as they realized what just happened.
