As their journey began, they simply trudged southwards. Their foodprints where covered, as Gorons small blizzard kept thethe snow around them moving, something that Norman was quite happy about, as he liked the simplicity of walking a lot more than the skulking that accompanied anyone that would normally move through the frozen plateau like they do.
Around the plateau, the descends and ascends were some of the many reasons that almost no known creatures inhabited the plateau, though the temperatures that rarely rose above -20 degrees where a deterrent to many creatures not accustomed to these glacial regions.
It took the two Njord about a week to reach the end of the plateau, in which they lived off the occasional small creature that Norman managed to catch when they made camp.
It was only once they saw the decline to the frozen wastes themselves that they had second doubts about their journey.
At least 10 meters on the lowest area, with an almost completely vertical design.
They managed to see the snow on the ground, but they did not know whether the snow was deep enough to completely catch their fall.
"We need to get down there, but if I jump first, the area will not have snow anymore..."
Goron mumbled, pacing along the cliff as he pondered for ways to survive the fall.
"Can't you do whatever you did to get that Snow storm, just with something that helps us downwards?"
Norman asked, the smaller of the two strongly against jumping off a cliff without any precautions.
"I think.... if we take my memories of falling, they are mostly intentional. Most lower my weight, but that won't work in this case... no, I need something that's similar to dropping down... lets see, targetting the ground sounds good..."
The spell matrix began to materialize, the skills he drew from only faint memories as he did so.
"Yes.... this feels right, now take me becoming wind, and infuse me like that just with the slow fall... best infuse an area like with the skill that made everything heavier, just with the aspect that accelerated me... Jeah, that feels about right."
Then, he extended his hand, his every statpoint focussed into growing the purple orb, before it exploded and filled both Goron and Norman with mana.
When Goron jumped next, he realized that it had worked and grinned at his confused friend.
"What do you think of featherfall? It basically makes you glide towards your goal, and restrics the amount you can fall in a second. Do you want to test it out? We could jump at the same time to see how good it works. And besides, the ground beneath us is probably safe to land on anyway."
At his enthusiasm, Norman sighed and moved right next to his brother in arms. Filled with the spells influence, they began to count to three, and then left the ground together.
For five meters, the spell worked without any problems, decending them at one meter per second.
The only trouble they faced were once Goron stopped focussing on the spell, and instead gazed upon the landscape of forests that began to form at the horizon, indicating a warmer climate than the two where used to.
Down here, they saw creatures buzzing about everywhere. There were bunny like entities that somehow elicted a feeling of pride inside Goron, the memory of the agressive creature replaying as if fresh in his mind. Immediately after, goron was ashamed to think that what he assumed to be previous lives of his to be too weak to simply crush the annoying rabbit.
The gasp of his friend shook Goron out of his reverie and drew his attention to the pack of Bols. Those creatures immediately making the two Njord stop in their tracks.
They where impressive creatures, the blue-white hyena like creatures began to laugh, the sound they made was similar to that of breaking ice. To face a pack of them was a death sentence to many, but now they where only circling the two brothers.
"What do you want? Don't you have any Bolkin to lead you?"
The creatures where not dumb, but as Goron taunted them like that, his tone an unintentional challange, the first of them charged.
Many would call what happened next impressive or spin a tale of legendary fights, but in reality, Goron reacted only once the Bol was already upon him, trying desperately to get its fangs out of gorons skin, as the giant simply picked the creature up and raised it like a weapon.
"Do you want this one? I can take the next for this fight."
He offered Norman, but that weirdo was still determined to use those things he called weapons, a concept neither he nor Fliegenda understood. The memories of Thimon showed many different weapons, though most of them seemed made for cowards, and while he didn't think of his friend as a coward for using weapons, relying on a tools strength was definitely less honourable than tearing your foes to shreds with your own hands.
Thus, the following fight was rather bloody, but involved no special work from the Njords.
Goron simply walked through the furred sea, crushing everything that did not try to escape, and those that jumped to reach his face did sometimes get up to his belly, in which case he used the Bol he grabbed earlier to give them a solid punch in their faces.
The fight ended immediately after, with most of the bol fleeing once they realized how useless the fight seemed to be.
With a large storage of food secured, and the biggest potential danger taken care of, Goron set down the weaponised Hyena and began to eat the next dead one.
What he did not expect was for the creature to eat its own brethren.
Norman chuckled at the sight, talking as the sun began to set and he shoved his mouth full of Bol meat.
"Finally something good to eat... bunnys and rabbits where too few to get full."
Goron agreed with a grunt, his hand subconsciously patting the Bol, as he threw a mostly eaten corpse into the snow for it to finish.
"It seems we got a new companion, and he does not seem disturbed by the selection of food we have here... what do you say, should we keep her?"
Norman agreed, continuously chuckling and grinning throughout the entire encounter.
"Yeah, that sounds great. I'm not gonna ask how you know her gender already, did you take a feel?"
To that, Goron shook his head. With a full belly, he leaned back to sleep for the day.
"More a hunch, how would one know that by Bol anyway? Don't both genders have something hanging down their?"
Norman closed his eyes and stretched in the snow.
"Let's not talk about that now, we got stat points to distribute, do we not?"
And thus, Goron opened his character screen, ready to allocate his points.
"System, put those token into strength and willpower."

"Thanks... I think now is the time to sleep."
And as the daily announcement finally settled in, the minds of Thimon, Goron and Fliegenda finally melded into one completely, and fell asleep.
