Prolog: They Ask

  The Traitor's Question

He once believed himself a traitor, but now faced a haunting question: If his betrayal was a part of God's grand design to absolve humanity's sins, why endure the agony of humiliation?

Now, in this enigmatic realm, he is a stranger to all, his crucifixion a forgotten tale, his treachery unknown. Presented with the opportunity to forge a new path, to live devoid of the shackles of past misdeeds, he hesitates not.

Yet, he refuses this tempting offer, rejecting the allure of a fresh start, choosing instead to confront his past and seek redemption. Despite the echoes of madness and the specter of a shameful demise haunting him, he embarks on a journey—a quest for the elusive answer that eludes him still.

  The Disciple's Question

Once a Disciple, he drank in his Master's teachings firsthand, witnessing the unveiling of sacred scriptures like the Heart Sutra.

Now, stranded in an unfamiliar land, he ponders: Is this Nirvana, or has he faltered, reincarnated in a distant realm?

With his Master's departure, his questions echo unanswered: Who is he? Where does he belong? What is his purpose?

Though answers may seem distant, he embarks on a quest, determined to unravel the mysteries that shroud his existence.

  the Child Who Asks

Neither from the West nor the East, he wasn't a Disciple of the Enlightened or the Crucified. Just a curious kid, forever questioning "why."

Bound by his dreams and relentless queries, enlightenment eluded him, and his sins remained unabsolved.

In a foreign land unknown to him, he roams in search of answers—ones people evade, ones that strike fear into the hearts of others.
