Morgen Dukedom, Kingdom of Estra — A Vassal State of the Ancorna EmpireSouthern Bordernds, Near the Conley Empire
Blood stained the snow like crimson paint. Shattered shields, broken bdes, and the torn bodies of soldiers littered the frost-covered battlefield. The cold wind howled across the open pins, scattering snowfkes over the carnage as a lone man stood amidst the devastation—his sword dripping, his breath ragged.
His armor, though dented and stained with gore, still reflected the pale sunlight, glinting faintly through the icy breeze. Footsteps echoed in the distance—measured, relentless, growing louder with every passing second.
Eugene, tightened his grip on his sword. He had fought fiercely, losing most of his knights in a desperate bid to repel the Conley Empire’s assault. Somehow, he had managed to force a victory... but the marching sounds ahead told him that the Conley army still had reserves. More than he’d anticipated.
His brows furrowed, sweat and snow clinging to his dark locks. “Why…?” he muttered, his voice hoarse from battle and exhaustion. “This invasion didn’t even happen in my past life.”
Dragging his feet through the snow, he turned toward the distant silhouette of Morgen Castle, far beyond the smoke and ruins behind him. “I need to return to the Dukedom. I have to coordinate with them… this war needs to end before it truly begins.”
Imperial Pace, Capital City of Ancorna — Ravenna’s Private Chambers
A soft chime echoed through the opulent chamber.
Ravenna Sorius y sprawled across her silk-draped bed, sunlight pouring through the high windows of her pace room. The heavy curtains danced gently in the breeze as she scrolled through the glowing interface floating above her, eyes gleaming with satisfaction.

Ever since yesterday, the wedding day—and the chaos that followed—her reputation points had been rising steadily. News of her dramatic stand against the magical beasts and the supposed “divine retaliation” she’d unleashed had spread like wildfire throughout the capital. In taverns, noble parlors, and even among street peddlers, people whispered her name with reverence and awe.
“It’s such a good feeling when the points just pour in…” Ravenna grinned, resting her chin on her hand as she scrolled zily through the system’s interface.

“My experience bar’s shooting up too… guess all those rumors in the capital are helping me farm points without even lifting a finger anymore,” she muttered. She tapped the screen again—and suddenly, a new notification panel blinked into existence.

“Whoa…” Ravenna stared at the new entries, her brows lifting. “These are seriously overpowered.”
But just as quickly, her excitement was dimmed by a familiar annoyance. She tapped one of the locked entries.
“No info on what level they unlock at... again,” she sighed. “Figures. This system loves being cryptic.”
She exhaled deeply, then let herself fall back onto the velvet pillows. The sunlight pouring through the tall windows bathed her face in gold, warming her skin and making the blue and silver canopy above her shimmer faintly. Despite the frustration, a smug smile tugged at the corners of her lips.
Still lying there, she closed the interface with a flick of her fingers—just as a soft knock echoed through the door, followed by a voice from outside.
“Your Highness, it’s Duke Morgen. He requests an audience.”
Ravenna sat up, stretching slightly, her mood already improved. “Tell him I’ll be there in five minutes,” she replied, her voice bright and confident.
Her dies-in-waiting, already moving at the first sound of her stirring, rushed to assist her. In moments, her loungewear was repced with a regal ensemble befitting a princess.
She chose a deep midnight blue gown adorned with intricate gold embroidery along the sleeves and hem, the design resembling phoenix feathers in flight. The fabric shimmered subtly with sunlight, light dancing across the surface like starlight. A sheer overy of silken voile flowed behind her like a second shadow, trailing as she walked. Around her neck, a high colr of silver ce framed her face like a crown of frost, while her long bck hair was braided and pinned with small sunburst-shaped hairpins—each made to softly glow.
As her maids adjusted the st details and stepped back, Ravenna gave herself a gnce in the mirror.
“Perfect,” she said, her tone calm but electric with purpose. Her eyes, sharp and gleaming with ambition, stared back at her from the mirror.
She turned and made her way to the door, heels clicking softly against the polished marble floor.
“Let’s get back into the Succession Race now,” she muttered under her breath, her tone ced with both challenge and determination.
