The giant yellow ants, originally from the rocky mountains of the South, are known as the “Rock Ants”. Unlike Orcs, their species is migratory, but each type of ant has a preference for specific environments in which to live, as is the case with the Rock Ants.
Although cssified as css C monsters, a category that includes creatures with a certain level of awareness but which pose a moderate threat, they can become a considerable danger to inexperienced or reckless adventurers. In addition, they cause major headaches for traders from the Orient and other countries that depend on the Langri Forest as a trade route.
Despite their cssification, Rock Ants become much more feared when they are in packs. Not even groups of experienced adventurers could deal with such a threat in a single expedition. When gathered together, they move as a single entity, with many simir species using collective mental communication, which allows them to organize massive attacks in rge groups, raising their dangerousness in the rankings.
They inhabit a region known for its hostility, but interestingly, the mountains are located on the outskirts of the empire's agricultural zones, crucial areas for growing grain and barley. For this reason, the empire's leaders have fortified the region's defenses, recognizing its vital importance to the kingdom's food supply.
Despite their collective intelligence, a direct attack on these fortified areas would be foolhardy and extremely difficult. Such an action would probably result in the wrath of the empire, which would end up forcing a relentless hunt until the possible extermination of the species. The Queen of the Rock Ants understood this very well. Although she was a lower-css monster compared to the B-rankers, her intelligence was fundamental to the coordination of the flock. Without her, it would be difficult for the ants to avoid danger. She knew from so many confrontations and raids that her gang would only survive in a world where the empire was constantly expanding its domains.
Occasional attacks on small traders or invasions of desote nds wouldn't pose much of a problem. The empire would not take drastic action without obtaining more information. However, invading a fortified area, such as agricultural zones, could cause serious problems in the long term. This filled the queen's mind as she reflected on the consequences of her actions.
“This is still not enough for us,” she thought, her emotions overwhelmed by the need for more power. Her wild instincts prevailed over her reason. At the moment, her anthill had no difficulties with supplies. If they attacked a sizable group, they could guarantee resources for at least a month. However, the more humans they devoured, the stronger the queen became, and her strength was shared with the other ants. For the anthill, each meal was a chance to ensure the survival of the strongest. But for the queen, it was just a way of absorbing magical energy.
Fighting powerful monsters or killing humans with great magical potential could be enough for any monster to reach the Disaster css. A rank below the dreaded Chaos css, which was only accessible to beings of extreme power. The queen knew that, to achieve this evolution, she would need more than simple raids against small targets. Thanks to the growing fortification of the Empire, her pns needed to be hastier.
Occasional raids against adventurers and merchants would not be enough to achieve this goal. However, the queen had learned of a distant and powerful pce: a forest in the north, filled with formidable monsters and blessed with an abundance of natural power. To reach this pce, it would be necessary to cross the Langri Forest. Although its inhabitants were, for the most part, monsters of little importance, something prevented them from completely invading the territory.
That obstacle was the primordial dragon, Syphus.
The mere mention of such a powerful dragon, hidden away in a remote region, was enough to put anyone on alert. The inhabitants of the forest were convinced that they were under its protection. The idea of challenging this protection was unthinkable, and the presence of Syphus prevented any attempt at invasion. It was easier to believe in the dragon's benevolence, to fear him while feeling safe under his shadow.
However, the queen knew that something had changed. The dragon's presence had disappeared, and now not only it, but many other monsters could invade the forest and cause chaos, making it their new headquarters. The mere possibility of this happening caused the queen to fill with euphoria.
“Forward, my servants! Follow me!”, her thought was shared with the entire anthill, and soon all the ants began to follow in her footsteps, heading for a new destination where chaos and destruction awaited them.

At least one day had passed.
Now, as a potential guardian of the vilge, preparations for the immediate future could no longer wait.
When I gained this title, I must admit that the change in treatment was drastic. Suddenly, I'm no longer seen as a threat. Some even look at me with admiration and hope, which, frankly, causes me some discomfort.
However, I couldn't allow this feeling to overwhelm me. Together with the Leader, I summoned all the potential warriors - which meant that most of the adult men, and even a few able-bodied women, were present.
I meticulously made a mental list, evaluating the positive and negative points of each of them as I watched. However, it wasn't just the combatants who were approaching. Non-combatants, older people and even children came to watch and follow what was being done.
If I had to be honest, being Orcs, I could at least count on their fighting strength. But all I know about them is basically a mixture of theory and experience in role-pying games.
In the context of games, they are creatures categorized as mid-level monsters, some even as bosses. However, in the reality I find myself in, this can be a problem. Their strength is undeniable, but melee attacks won't always be the solution, especially given the ck of necessary resources.
And that brings us to the other negative point: logistics. We're in a remote location, among the trees, an isoted spot where any attack would be treated as something isoted. At least they seem to know their terrain well, but even so, we can't deny that we're in a precarious situation.
