Well it is time to choose which traits and creature I will choose.
The first one I picked was [controlled mutations], this will let me do mutations much faster and more specific. The other one that also really liked was the [genomic grafting], it would let me create truly weird lifeforms. I quickly applied it to the two algae mutation experiments. Now then the two other choices, for the species trait it is difficult. One will give me more magical abilities, one will let me just be better on average and one will let me control gravity.
After thinking about it for a while I went for the [gravitational source crystal creation]. The stuff on the 4th layer would be more interesting if the water was on the roof. Forcing adventurers to swim upside down.
Then the last one the creature I got for getting an optional quest. Of the three I removed the toad creature. Then between the dreadscarab and fangstalker. A stealthy raptor like creature or a scarab that inflicts the feeling of doom on adventurers. Both very good, unfortunately I can only pick one.
Thinking about it, I think I can get the traits of the fangstalker by mutation. The magical traits are more difficult to get. So I chose the dreadscarab. Now, what have those traits added to my stats.

My skills have nicely been improved and my max mana has been improved by a lot. With my mana regen it still takes around 4 days go get maximum mana. Creating those giant bodies took a lot of mana.
Oh, it seems that there are a few people giving me some new plants or creatures at the sacrificial basin. Looking at the basin I see a few groups of adventurers, some with plant seeds and plants and some with cages with animals in it. They make a line and give one by one their item.
The first one looks like a herbalist or forager. He has a brown mushroom hat and gives me 12 mushrooms. Most of them have the same traits. Three of the mushrooms were good at decomposing. So I gave him 54 gold bars, how he will carry all 54 kilos of gold will not be my problem. Let me put the mushrooms in a list by name and then by traits.

Well that are a lot of new traits and lifeforms. And there are still 4 more persons in the line. The next person who stepped to the basin looked like a gardener. He put 3 seeds into the basin. Tree seeds from the looks of it.

Interesting choices of trees he has given me. Let me reward him with 35 gold bars. The gardener looks with happy eyes to the gold and puts the bars into his bag. He then quickly scurries off, out of the dungeon. One jungle tree is very good. The tree itself is not much special. Although why does a jungle tree need this much water. A jungle where there is a long period of no rain? Well I have no idea what is around me. Not sure my entrance is on the same continent as my kobold village.
The ironpine is a sturdy tree type and the emberleaf is a tree with toxic leaves. If a leave touches bare skin, it will burn that skin. Decent self-defense against herbivores, not so much against a scaled or fully clothed sapient.
Well 3 people left the next group puts a cage on the basin. In the cage is a small feline. The feline doesn’t look all too happy in there. I inspect the cat.
LvL 3

Well a good cat creature. Not great for a jungle, but I can throw them into the mutation machine to turn it into a jungle variant. Now the reward. I create a 2 meter tall pure golden kobold statue. The group got some ropes and with 6 adventures they carried it towards the dungeon outpost. Seeing them slowly walk is a reward for me as well.
The second to last is a single person. She looks like a wizard, but every piece of her clothing is covered by gems or other shiny crystalline things. She puts a strange crystal into the basin. I inspected it when she got far away enough.

+200% resilience (magical), +100% resilience (physical)
WHAT! Why would anyone give this one away? Giving the opportunity to others to find this, if I create more of them. I create a second granite wall writing “What do you want, a big non-magical gemstone ball won’t be enough for compensation.”
She then says “Can you create 4 more of these flowers, plus a gem sphere of aquamarine?”
I wrote down “sure give me a moment.”
She picked up the flower left over on the basin. I then tried to create a Starshard flower. I created one on the pedestal, but when I tried to create a new one I couldn’t. looking at my mana reserves I saw it was almost empty. I just had 100 million mana now a few thousand. CREATING ONE COSTS OVER 100 MILLION?!?
I calmy write on the wall in big bold letters “CREATING ONE COST 100 MILLION MANA! Please wait for 7 hours before I have enough mana.”
She looked surprised of the number how much it cost to produce one or the amount of mana I produced. She then grabbed the second one and created a crystal chair.
The last group looking a little scared of the crystal wizard step forward with a cage. A cage filled with insects. The seagull avian placed it on the basin. It contained 4 types of insects 2 beetles, a flying one and a frozen one?

Those traits are very magical. Why do only insects get core traits? Maybe they are weak enough to be captured? Anyway let give them their reward. Thinking of it one of the insects was a crystal creature, should I give them a big gem ball? Eh why not. I write on the granite wall “what gem?” One of the two kobolds says halite so I create a 1 meter halite ball and 3 gold bars. They then start rolling the crystal ball towards the dungeon outpost. Going to the acquisition guild, potentially.
After that I wrote down on the first granite wall “deliver creatures and plants in a month time” and I removed the crystal, grass, cat, mushroom, undergrowth, insects and tree ones. I did change the insect one to a long bug with many legs.
Then I waited for 7 hours, creating around 2 and something hours a flower. After creating the 4th flower, I created her aquamarine sphere. She jumped on the sphere and flew up, going outside and flying off into the distance. Really strange wizard, that just gave me a very, very rare plant. Good for me I guess.
