Ch. 50 – The Satan’s Meeting!

Immediately standing up, I nded on both my feet and quickly cast a spell.

This time, instead of casually casting one, I made sure to implement my magic circle.

Soon enough, an e circle with an intricate design maed in front of my hand.

The magic circle tains several runiguages that only those who have knowledge about runes would uand. The circle itself was also yered by several more circles with more runiguages between the gaps.

The most distinct about the appearance of the magic circle is a majestic star surrounded by smaller stars, making seem as if you’re looking at the space itself.

Uher magic circles whose purpose is to reduce the cost of magical energy when casting spells, mine is more than that, hence also the reason why it took me this long.

If I were to settle with an average magic circle, I could’ve fi months ago.

But since I decided I wao be the stro Sorcerer Supreme, why would I create an average one?

So, with my knowledge of Elfheim runes, I upgraded my magic circle, now not only it reduce the ption by tenfold, but it increases the effectiveness of the spell.

So let’s say for example, if I were to cast a fireball without a magic circle, the size, radius, distance, a would be average but if I use my magic circle, it would double.

Only my magic circle has this funaybe there are others too that I don’t know yet but heless, I’m proud of my creation.

Last but not least that I added to the magic circle is that it ot be deciphered by others. Acc to the magical books I read in Sitri’s library, there are some people in the universe who decipher the spell that the spellcaster will cast through the magic circle, allowing them to predict what they’ll cast ahead of time.

‘I ’t wait to test it out in a real battle.’ Unbeknownst to myself, a grin was f on my face.

At the same time as these thoughts formed on my face, a magic circle appeared on my ears.

Instead of panig, I willed my demoniergy to accept the said magic circle.

  It’s an Audio-Visual unication spell

A fun fact about such a spell is that it works simirly to phones. Although you use the spell on someone, you o make them accept the call in order to form the e.

The only downside of the spell is that, unlike phohe Audio-Visual unication spell doesn’t let you know who’s calling you.

The only hint you’ll get is the magic circle of the person calling you that appears near your ear. So at least you’d know from which devil is calling you.

  [”Good evening, Sir Chamber.”]

Hearing the familiar voice of Zekram Bael, I furrowed my eyebroolitely replied.

“To what do I owe the pleasure of your call, Zekram?”

[”I have some good oday and I think you’ll like it.”]

“Go ahead. I always wele good news.” I chuckled.

[”The Satans have called all of their trusted aids whicludes me for a meeting tomorrow. I wonder if Sir Chamber would be ied in joining me?”]

‘Okay, what is this lunatiing now.’ I grumbled mentally but oside, I maintained politeness.

“Oh, but are you sure it is wise to have me, Zekram? After all, like you said, only the Satans’ trusted aids. I’m not sure if I could call myself one.”

[”Don’t worry, Sir Chamber. I have arranged your identity and they’ll know you as my most trusted panion.”]

‘This guy is definitely hiding something.’ My mouth twitched several times but still, meeting with the Satans?

I haven’t seen their faces yet, not to mention, gauge how strong they truly are.

Would they be simir to God? Whose aura is enough to cause pain to others?

But from the stories that I read from the books along with how Zekram and the others describe them, the Satans doesn’t seem to be that strong.

Maybe strohan an Ultimate-css but not as strong as God himself. After all, if they are, then there’s no point in prolonging the Great War.

Also, God doesn’t seem to care that much about the war, as if he’s treating the Satans like some sort of children in their rebellious phases.

[”So I hope Sir Chamber will spend some time to think about this. This meeting will be beneficial to the both of us and the ei-Satan fa.”]

“Just a short question. Why me? I’m sure the others would be more than happy to be included in this meeting. Why do you e?”

[”…I was hoping to build trust. I know this may sound absurd but I have a feeling that you’re unique, someone incredible. So I was hoping that by giving you opportunities and giving you a hand, I am making myself a very worthy ally.”]

‘Huh, I wasn't expeg him to actually tell the truth.’ I mentally chuckled inside.

‘Still, calling me unique and someone incredible? It’s so scary because he’s right. I am unique because I don’t belong to this world but how was he so sure about it? He’s not some kind of seer who see the future, is he?’

Unfortunately, as much as I want to ask more questions to know more about his hidden agenda, it would be a bit rude to keep him waiting for my answer.

“Your words are very kind and noble, Zekram. Fine, I agree. I’ll join this meeting.”

[”Wonderful! Here’s the location of the meeting pce….. See you there, Sir Chamber.”]

And with that, the call disected.

‘Lucifaad City, huh.’ I muttered under my breath after receiving the information about the pce of the meeting.

‘The main capital of the Underworld and the city where the Satan Lucifer himself rules over.’ I tinued.

  ‘Now this should be iing.’

  ***

Oher side, after diseg the Audio-Visual unication spell, Zekram leaned back to his chair and fell into deep thought.

A crow then maed out of a dark swirl before perg on his shoulders.

The crow then surprisingly, started speaking.

“What’s our move. You’ve already ihe human and by the looks of it, it’ll be hard for you to gain his trust.”

“I’m not sure, Percival. But from the info you gave me these past few days, Chamber looks suspicious. His weird spells such as those portals with high potential, e whips and magic circles that aren’t magic circles and now, the ability to create his own dimension in a whim. That is something not even Gods easily do.” Zekram sighed as he massaged his temples.

The crow, now knoercival is his familiar that he recruited from the familiar forest.

What’s iing about Percival is his capability to manipute darkness in a limited manner but still, Percival, with his years to survive in the harsh familiar forest, made a teique that could coat himself with darkness, and freely merge with other people’s shadows.

Thanks to this, Zekram was able to get a daily report from Percival about Chamber.

Though there are times when Percival would suddenly lose sciousness, only to wake up a few hours ter without any recolle about what happeo him.

This thing is something that made Zekram from making a move against Chamber and forcefully pry open his secrets.

Someo there, is proteg Chamber and he doesn't know who.

This has been bugging him off sihen and hence, why he wao win Chamber’s trust. Through this method, he was hoping the devil-former-human would open up to him.

“I don’t like it when things aren’t in my trol.” Zekram growled, g the armrest of his fancy cushion chair.

Percival watched as the armrest disied into ashes upon the use of the Power of Destru.

The trait of the Bael , the power to destroy anything and everything.

This is the reason why aside from the four Satans, Bael is the most powerful the entire devil race.

No one wao mess with people who erase you in a matter of seds.

What’s unique about traits is that uhe magic spells that normally requires a magic circle to cast fully, traits require no such things.

traits are only held back by the user’s talent and Demoniergy resolves. Using them is like having another set of limbs.

“So what’s your pn? Should I resume watg over that human?” Percival, after seeing that Zekram has slightly calmed down, asked.

“No. No hat boy is growing strong and sooner or ter, he might discover you and that would jeopardize everything.” Zekram quickly disagreed, afraid of any acts that might happen.

“Just keep iigating about the reason why you’re falling unscious in random times whenever you’re watg over Chamber. Make sure you don’t expose yourself.”

“Don’t look down on me, Zekram. There’s a reason why not even one of the five Great Dragons, Tiamat could catch me.” Percival said with a hint of pride in his tone.

“Yeah yeah. You’ve been tellihat since day one. Now just go and do your job.” Zekram rolled his eyes and waved his hand in dismissal.

“Hmph! You should appreciate me more, Zekram. My skills are very strong and I even spy oans themselves if you ask.” Without waiting for Zekram’s reply, Percival disappeared when a swirl of darkness appeared near him and swallowed him whole.

“Heh. Strong my ass. If you were, you wouldn’t have been caught by me” Zekram snorted and dipped on his red wine.

  ***

While Zekram was busy formuting pns that would be not only himself but also the entire devil race, our dear main character of the story was busy instrug Tam and Belle, who were sparring with nothing but their physical bodies.

As sorcerers, they should not only rely on their mystic arts and instead, focus more on their physical capabilities.

After all, in this line of work, sorcerers mostly use their bodies when fighting, with the mystic arts and magic spells serving as nothing but mere tools that provide power.

Watg Tam struggle against Belle, I smirked.

Sure, Tam is a low-css devil and talented but it turns out, Belle is more talehan him.

Although Tam would surely win the spar no doubt if it weren’t for the Gravity Ruhat he applied on Tam, increasing the pull of gravity by tenfold, making it slightly hard for him to move his body.

‘Let’s just hope that devils have some sort of Zenkai Boost so I could maximize this kind of training regime.’ While thinking about this, the spar finally ended with Tam making a daring and reckless move by throwing himself and tag his sister and with the help of the Gravity Ruhe pull of the gravity now included Belle.

“Y-You’re c-cheating!” Belle snarled, having a hard time breathing from the effects of the Gravity Rune.

Uam, Belle is just a normal human and if the gravity were to be strohan this, Belle would’ve been crushed on the ground.

“Okay. That’s enough. The fight’s over and Tam wins.” Approag them, I dispelled the Gravity Rune and pulled the twins back to their feet.

It’s time to give them my advice.

“Belle. Good job on your side but you should be more wary, you might think it’s cheating but when it es to real battle, the enemy would use underhaactics that is much worse than what your little brother did to you.” Then I shifted my attention to Tam, who looked at me proudly.

“You’re proud of winning by luck?” Without hesitation, I harshly pulled him back to the ground, I don’t like my students getting prideful over something like this.

“Just to inform you, you’re losing and if it weren’t for the reckless move you just did, you would’ve lost.” Finishing my words, Tam simply looked down on the ground.

That’s right, pride will kill you someday.

“But still, good job.” I smiled and patted both of their heads, much to their enjoyment.

‘I should probably try and take in more students. I don’t want them to be bored with just each other’s pany.’

Now the question is, which people should I take in as my student?
