Personally, I'm torn. 1 is a bit static. Pics 2 and 3, while technically good, don't capture the vibe. Pic 4, comes closest to what he actually does in that scene, but it's a bit..."sensual". (Not a vibe I want to be associated with CoL.) Pic 5 is interesting. He's not reaching for the mountains in the book, but I could easily add this in with a few lines. I could have him grasp the air in confusion before realizing he's about to fall. Anyway, I didn't realize settling on a book cover design was going to be so stressful!
