A few hours later, and the ritual was all set up. Ebony held her ritual in the middle of the forest, away from town. A few decors were on the table. A small mortar and pestle of herbs sat in the middle. The full moon was high, and a couple of minutes until midnight, and they'll be ready!

  Ebony wore her fancy, black Victorian dress with some beautiful shoes to match. She wore a headdress of decorated ram horns. Valerian and Evelynne dressed their usual. Ebony began to host the ritual.

  "It's time to bring a new, unloved child home to the Goddess, may her love guide his soul in this life, as his protector and savior! Valerian, would you like to do the honors?"

  Valerian nodded and held the jar of blood, but didn't do anything with it, instead, she stood still. Ebony looked at her with worry and gently grabbed her arm. "Is everything alright, dear?" Suddenly, Valerian threw the jar. In the distance, they heard the glass break.

  Ebony gasped in shock by this action. "Wh - what are you doing!" Valerian turned to her wickedly. "I have a better idea!"

  Suddenly, the green witch vanished before their eyes, and two seconds later....she came back with a familiar person. The little boy that they took blood from.

  Ebony cupped her hands in horror, Evelynne looked with confusion, the boy looked at everyone with terror in his eyes.

  "Wh - what am I doing here?" The boy whimpered. Ebony looked from the boy to Valerian, and glared. "HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND?"

  Valerian chuckled. "Come on, sing for him again, I love that voice.....deary!" Ebony then grew more horrified as she stood frozen, watching Valerian take a knife from the table and sliced the boy's arm, making the kid cry out in pain. His blood curdling screams made Ebony feel dizzy.

  Valerian looked back at Ebony. "Come on, just be yourself for once! I know how much you sirens CRAVE screams. You FEAST on it!"

  The environment around Ebony became a blur as everything spun. She pulled her hair by the roots and screamed. "STOP IT!"

  Valerian laughed wickedly. "Ebony.....your a black witch! You CHOSE this path! Embrace it!" She made another deep cut into the boy's arm, and he shrieked. Evelynne looked at Ebony with unease. "Uh......Ebony? You're not looking too happy...."

  Ebony suddenly felt the energy surge from inside her, creating a forcefield around her, making her eyes black and soulless, making her grow fangs and claws......making her feel......hungry.

  Valerian laughed again, Evelynne tilted her head with curiosity. The boy was then let loose by the green witch, as he took off, running back home.

  Without a second thought, Ebony chased him through the woods to the edge of the town. She pounced, pinning his weak body to the ground. The boy looked at her with fear. Ebony snarled. "Don't worry..this won't take long. Just a little bite!" She tilted his head to the side, exposing his neck. Her fangs then pierced through layers of skin and muscle, until she finally reached his veins. The boy cried out in agony.

  Must get more!

  Ebony clawed her way deeper into his flesh, nearly reaching the bone. She chewed and clawed until she could hear him choking on his own blood, gasping for air, doing his best to scratch her deep, but eventually, he moved less and less.

  She didn't know how long she fed, but the sun was rising from the horizon. She could hear people slowly walk out of their houses. She could hear screams and people calling her a monster, but she continued her feeding.

  It - it tasted so good! Why WOULD she stop?

  When she got up, she looked down and noticed that the boy barely had any meat on him. It was as if a vulture kept eating until there was barely anything but bones! She stared in horror at what she's done! She looked at the crowd that gathered around her.

  The Preacher then showed up and broke through the crowd to get to his son's remains. Ebony's mind blocked out the screaming and yelling from the crowd. The cries from the Preacher. The retching of some parts of the crowd.

  What have I done!
