Chapter 93 Recovering from Illness

Bai Qingqing was preparing for her mother's birthday party while waiting for news from Suiyun Pavilion.

Suiyun Pavilion sent her a dividend, and the amount made her a wealthy woman all of a sudden. She would use her own money to host this birthday party.

While Bai Yaoyao was helping to draft the invitation, she asked, "Sister, do you want to invite Lord Ning?"

Bai Qingqing thought about it and nodded, "Invite him. He has some connections with the Bai family, so it's not too abrupt."

Especially since he helped her with the incense incident before, it was reasonable to invite him.

Bai Yaoyao smiled secretly behind her back and quickly finished the invitation.

The Bai family's birthday party has never been a big one. They only invite some familiar people to the house to make it lively. Therefore, Qiao was relieved that the two daughters were in charge of this matter. She didn't ask any more questions and felt that it was very considerate.

In fact, Bai Qingqing and Bai Yaoyao did a good job. The banquet was well prepared, from the arrangement of guests to the details of the dishes. Everything was taken into consideration, and all were what Qiao liked, which made Bai Jinghuai hint several times that his birthday was not far away and his father was not picky.

At Prince Ping's mansion, Fu Yi had someone pass a message to Bai Qingqing that he would not come to Prince Ping's birthday banquet, not wanting to ruin her good mood. Bai Qingqing felt very good, as if everything had become much smoother after she talked it out with Fu Yi.

But she didn't expect that after Prince Ping knew about this, he had a big fight with the princess in the mansion. The reason was that Fu Yi accidentally let Prince Ping know about this, and only said that the princess was still sick and could not go out.

Prince Ping was so angry that he fell backwards. He rushed all the way to the princess's yard and scolded her, "For the sake of a wild girl, have you disregarded the reputation of the pace? Compared with Fu Yi's marriage, is Lu Qingyun so important? She is your own daughter?"

The princess's face changed slightly and she sat up. However, Prince Ping didn't want to listen to her expnation. "Things happen one after another in the mansion. As the mistress, who are you trying to threaten by pretending to be sick? And you are taking your anger out on Fu Yi. Well, well, in that case, you don't have to worry about Fu Yi's marriage! You just take good care of yourself! I will let other people do the things in the mansion!"

After Prince Ping left angrily, the princess smashed half of the house for the first time. This time she was so angry that she had a headache, "Go, go and call Fu Yi to me!"

"Princess, the young master has left the mansion on business. He said he would be gone for several days."

"..." The princess was full of anxiety. How could this be?

Even if the prince was considering Fu Yi, he shouldn't be so ruthless. Besides, she was just talking, not really not going to the Bai family!

She took a deep breath and finally figured out what was more important. She ordered people to prepare gifts for the Bai family, but was told that the Bai family had already replied and sent some medicinal herbs with courtesy, so that she could rest assured and recuperate.

Not only that, Prince Ping actually asked people to guard the yard and let her "rest" to avoid people knowing that she was faking illness and losing face for Prince Ping's mansion.

When the princess found out, her heart ached, her eyes went bck, and she fell on the chair for a long time before she recovered. Her face was as pale as if she was seriously ill.

  …

In the Jinyiwei Yamen, Ning Zhao was scolded by Ning Yan because she had not found the source of the spread of the nursery rhyme. She went to accept the punishment with a sullen look.

Ning Yan stood on tiptoe to read the message sent to him. Someone came to Ning Zhao with a note, "Sir, Master Xiao Zhao is not here?" Ning Yan didn't even raise his head, "For him? Put it down."
