Chapter 16: War.
(*Celia’s POV*)
Sihis woman was a little annoying, I decided to not give her even a lit bit of a ce against me. Peeping at her Status, she was super outcssed by me.
I dashed at her as fast as I could and used my sword to ssh her torso. Because I had no iion of killing her just yet, I slowed my attack down just enough for her to be able to block my strike.
Celia: “What’s wrong? I thought that you were going to put me in my pce. Where did that all that fidence even go to?” I say with a smug tone.
Kiva: “…”
The knight was already being pushed back by me. In fact, I effortlessly pushed her back a few feet. But I actally used far too much force, and cracks soon showed up on Kiva’s bde.
This ended earlier than I wa to, but this was a det pce to stop. As such, I struck her sword with my own one more time, whipletely shattered her sword.
Ria put up a barrier that blocked all of the shards of metal from Kiva’s sword. All of the knights and I were pletely protected by it. Kiva wasn’t so lucky, as it seems that Ria really dislikes rapists. I mean, I do uand that point of view and I agree with Ria.
Celia: “That was easier than I thought that it would be. So? Does anyone else wish to challenge me? I don’t really know if I’ve proven myself enough just yet.” I ask with a prideful tone.
Oddly, they all begged me to NOT do such a thing. Kiva was the weakest knight in this group, so the rest of them would surely st longer in a duel with me. I guess I won’t be telling them that, though.
I was then guided by that one knight that tried to save Kiva, into the a. Onside, I was briefed oia’s current positions. Just outside the forest, was a very makeshift camp. From the information that we got from our spies, they had roughly a thousand soldiers posted at that base.
A lot of soldiers, sure. But that was nowhere near enough to invade and take over a kingdom. Even if they’re super misinformed about our capabilities, they wouldn’t use such a small force.
Which simply means that they did choose the long game, and they decided to sail a rge force to our coast. With a sigh, I got out the cool fantasy phohingy, and called Yona to talk about this.
Yona: “Hm? Oh, yeah we figured that was their pn in the first pce. We have already dealt with their ships.” She said with a giggle.
Celia: “How many forces were on them?” I ask with a curious tone.
Yona: “It was a huge fleet, and by our estimates, on the low end they at least had 50,000 troops.” She replied.
Celia: “That’s a lot… Please do not tell me that they were stupid enough to send almost their entire military force, on that failed sailing trip, right?” I ask with an uone.
Yona: “Our spies state that is the case. Apart from the group at the makeshift base, they only have a hundred soldiers remaining in their kingdom.” She replied with a ugh.
Celia: “Damn… And I thought that I would have to work to take over Leretia…” I say with a sigh.
Yona: “I’m sorry that I made it too easy for you, dear. Just have fun taking it over, I guess. Oh, I don’t think that I have to tell you this, but please do not kill any civilians unless absolutely necessary.” She pleaded.
Celia: “I won’t. I didn’t agree to this war just so that I go it war crimes.” I reply with a giggle.
Ohe call was over, I ordered five knights to follow me into battle. Even with my dispy of strength, they still suggested that I bring at least half of the knights from this base with me. I dehem, a on ahead. Of course, one of the five knights, I requested that Kiva be a part of them.
We the off in the dire of their makeshift camp. I could fly, but the knights could not, so we had to make it there on foot. If I flew, it would have probably only taken mio make it there. But because we had to walk, it took aire hour to arrive at their camp.
Knight: “Princess, that is the base of theirs.” She pointed out.
The base was made out of wood, and looked super shitty. The only nice looking things were the tents around the base. Are they stupid? Even if they doubted our strength, shouldn’t they be worried about a monster ing out of the forest, and killing them all?
That big frog mohat I met a long time ago, could easily destroy this camp. I highly doubt that there would be any survivors either.
Celia: “You all go fnk behind their base, I’ll go in myself. Just take care of any runners.” I say with a serious tone.
Knight: “Princess!? That is too dangerous!” She excimed.
Celia: “Do you truly think that Yona would make me a princess, just from that little dispy from when I fought Kiva? I am far strohan you all think.” I reply with a shrug.
Knight: “Even still, why risk yourself? At least one of us should go. What’s the point of going after the runners anyway?” She asked with a fused tone.
Celia: “Oh? Asking questions about my orders? How bold.” I say with my arms crossed.
Knight: “Princess… I didn’t mean to undermine you…” She said with a nervous tone.
Celia: “That isn’t what you did. Look, assuming your ander isn’t one who would execute you for asking questions, it is always good to ask about things that you do not uand.” I say with a smile.
Knight: “Then… there is reason for us to deal with the runners?” She asked with a thinking pose.
Celia: “Once we’re done here, we will be heading to their main city. If anyone mao flee, they would be able to warn them about us taking them out easily.” I expin.
Knight: “Take over their capital!? Princess, we do not have enough people for that…” She replied with a shocked expression.
Celia: “The king of Leretia is an idiot, and he sent out practically his entire army out on boats. Yona has already dealt with them, and there are only a hundred knights still left in their capital.” I reassure.
Knight: “Even still… I don’t like the odds of just fifty soldiers against a hundred. Let along us five against the thousand stationed here.” She said with a nervous tone.
Celia: “In both of the fights, I will be doing most of the work. Like I said, just deal with the people who flee.” I reply.
Without giving them any more time to try to vince me to not go with this pn, I had Ria teleport them all behind the camp. If you won’t listen to my rock solid pn, then I will just have to force you to do so!
With an evil smile, I charged right into their camp. There wasn’t even a gate or anything along those lines, so I could just walk right into it. With areme ease, my most ret sughter began!
