Chapter 77: It Went Wrong!
*Celia’s POV*
I hate that I pletely jinxed myself… Look, it’s not like she tried to harm me, or anything like that. Is that this girl is stupidly weak at the moment… I have gotten hurt proteg her a handful of times already. Even though it has only been an hour…
Why have even more Skeleton Ghosts e out to fight me, and why do I keep running into traps? I feel like this dungeon is trying to spite me… Maybe, it is actually trying to get us killed? Could be…
Celia: “Kuria, are you not able to use ANY of your power at the moment?” I ask with an aone.
Kuria: “ all. I mainly use magic, without it, I am practically a twig.” She said with a shrug.
Celia: “Weren’t you always a twig then? Someone would just have to get close to you.” I ask with a raised eyebrow.
Kuria: “Nope. I use magiake my body stronger, and I put a barrier around myself as well. With magic, killing me is very hard.” She replied.
Celia: “So, I will have to defend you until we get out of here?” I ask with a sigh.
Kuria: “That is the case, yes. I am truly grateful for you proteg me. Your reward will be great, so rest assured.” She said with a smile.
Don’t think that your murderer is cute. Don’t think that your murderer is cute… Don’t think that your murderer is cute! Fuck… too te. I think that she is really cute… Eh, I have no pns on dating her, but she is very cute. Have I said that enough? Too bad. This girl is cute, and I say it as many times as I want!
Ruina: “I find your method of g, to be a little odd, yet effective.” She said with a sigh.
Celia: “But it is effective.” I reply with a deadpan tone.
Ruina: “…”
Another new experience, is babysitting a Goddess. Though she is pying it off well, I am sure that having to rely on me, is somesetting to her.
The evideo this, was that she randomly ran ahead of me. And of course, she stepped on arap. With speed I didn’t even realize that I could muster, I pushed her out of the way.
The trap this time, was an arro. Getting impaled with a bunch of arrows, isn’t fun at all. God… this hurts so much! That reward better be worth it…
Ruina: “I don’t even have a body, and I felt that just from seeing it…” She said with a ed tone.
Kuria: “Celia!… Sorry, I won’t run ahead again.” She said with a remorseful tone and expression.
Celia: “Good. Now, please help me removes these arrows.” I ask with a groan.
Frankly, I didn’t lose much HP from getting struck by those arrows, but I lost way more as I pulled them out. I was now also quickly losing HP from bleeding out. I do not recall pag any, but maybe Ria slipped some healing potions into my pouch?
Ah, what luck! She actually did! I took o, pulled out the cork, and then dowhe eion as quickly as I could. As it was just a healing potion, there was still pain all over my body. But it is far better than bleeding out to death.
For many hours after that, Kuria had been pletely meek, and just quietly followed behind me. With that, I barely ended up getting hurt by a trap. Though, I did still have to save her a few times. Each time I did, Kuria got meeker, and meeker.
She was on all powerful Goddess, so having a mortal like me protect her, might be vexing to some degree. Even worse, it is a mortal that she once killed.
While tinuing to walk, Kuria tugged on to my uniform. Looking back at her, she clearly wao tell me something. As she opened her mouth, her stomach made some iing noises.
This caused her to go pletely red in the face. Holy, seeing a powerful Goddess like her this embarrassed, is a reward all on its own. Trying not to ugh, I guided her over to some rubble that we could sit on, and then handed her some food to eat out of my pouch.
Celia: “I have a lot of food, so just tell me if you want to eat more.” I say with a warm tone.
Kuria: “I feel like you’re being a little too o me…” She said with an uone, before she took a bite of a piece of bread.
Celia: “I have been enjoying this life miles more than I did my inal one. So in a messed up way, I sorta owe that to you killing me.” I reply with a shrug.
Kuria: “Well, if it was me, I would just want revehough, I guess that I should be happy that you have a positive outlook on what happened.” She said with a sigh.
After a short lunch break, we set off once more. This pce was a winding maze, finding our way out will take a det while. Or, it should have, but I think that we actually found it. Or, at least, we fi aone door.
Kuria: “Hm… what an iing door. Have you seen more like it in this dungeon?” She asked with a thinking pose.
Celia: “I have, now, watch this.” I say with aed expression.
Kuria: “Watch what?” She asked with a head tilt.
Celia: “Open Sesame!” I yell once again with aed tone.
Kuria: “…”
As she was about to open her mouth, with most likely io make fun of me, the door started to open. She was the with her mouth hanging open, like a fish.
Ah, mission plete once more! There is o hold back, when I have the ake a cute girl show an iiion, I shall endeavor to make it happen at any cost to me, or anyone else involved!
Kuria: “I was going to say, that there were sting effee killing you, but it seems like you just enjoy messing with people.” She said with an aone.
Celia: “Not people, but just cute girls exclusively.” I reply with a giggle.
Kuria: “Right… Let’s just leave now, before I lose more of my sanity.” She said with a sigh.
Celia: “Right away, o humble Goddess.” I say with a pyful tone and a bow.
Kuria: “…”
As agreed before, I walked ahead to lead us. While walking, I heard Kuria make a pained groan, and looked back at her. She was on the ground, holding onto her feet. Rushing over to her, I could see that her feet were bleeding, and were covered in blisters. I didn’t notice, but she wasn’t wearing any footwear at all…
Celia: “Why didn’t you tell me about this?” I ask with a stern tone.
Kuria: “Pun not intended, but put yourself in my shoes. I was once a powerful Goddess, but now I have to rely on a mortal.” She said with a vexed expression.
Celia: “Relying on someone, and ign yourself being in paiwo different things.” I say with a scolding tone.
Kuria: “…”
I took another healing potion out of my pouch, and then got her to drink it. Her feet then looked better within seds. Kuria would still be in pain when walking, so I suggested that I carry her, but she denied such a suggestion, as you would expect. Either way, I still gave her some boots to wear.
Luckily, we were about the same foot size, so she didn’t have any problems putting them on. As we tio walk, Kuria was even more silent than before. I was about to talk to her about it, but I felt a cold breeze brush ay face.
Kuria felt it as well, so we both ran in the dire of the wind. After running for a few minutes, we came to what was clearly the entrao this dungeon. It was a frozen wastend! How the hell are we to escape from this pow!?…
