Volume 7. Chapter 81: Pure Shock. (Chapter 682.)

  Chapter 81: Pure Shock.

The woman appeared abruptly, returning to Maralia’s life. And just as quickly as she came back, Vanessa had left.

  Maralia: “…”

  Faith: “…”

Maralia couldn’t speak, now feeling loss of a different taste. She was fully prepared to kill herself once Celia died, and perhaps that is why Vanessa sacrificed her soul without getting anyone’s consent first.

Faith: “The staining is… less.” She informed, not sure of what to say.

Maralia: “Not… by much.” She replied, biting her lip, causing it to bleed.

Vanessa was powerful, but even her soul wasn’t enough to go fully against existence. Despite using her soul to save Celia, all it did was take the staining down to 50%.

Effectively, Vanessa just merely delayed Celia’s death. Vanessa knew that this would be the case, but she didn’t regret her sacrifice in the least. As for why this happened out of the blue…

  Later.

Maralia: “She used Divinity to fight, and heal that God.” She said with a thinking pose.

Rather than stay in the forest, the three went back to that inn. Celia was still unconscious, seemingly not able to wake up anytime soon.

Faith: “Dammit… I shouldn’t have let her fight.” She said, with anger directed at herself, biting her fingernail.

Maralia: “No, this isn’t your fault. I also didn’t expect that her using Divinity… would be a death sentence.” She coaxed.

At this point, with her mother’s sacrifice, Maralia was fully onboard with Faith’s horrid plan. Doing it would make Faith hated beyond belief, and, as someone who aided her, or, at the very least, didn’t stop her, Maralia would carry a similar sin and hatred.

Faith: “Maralia, help me restrict her Divinity. I don’t think that Celia used it on purpose…” She requested seriously.

Maralia: “Okay, I was planning on that, as well.” She quickly agreed.

With no System, even Celia’s SIPs were gone, and as someone who never bothered to gather any Divinity… this only further added to her soul’s stains.

Placing their hands on top of Celia’s womb, the two placed a lock on it. Which will ensure that Celia can’t use any Divinity.

Afterwards, the Faith and Maralia gave Celia some of their Divinity, helping her restore her reserves of it.

Maralia: “Now… she’ll be weaker.” She said with a wistful, upset tone and expression.

Faith: “It’s fine… Celia is still stronger than any other player.” She replied, sighing as well.

Rather than limit the amount of Divinity she could use, they chose to prevent all use of it completely. Doing so will greatly diminish Celia’s power, but, like Faith just said, it wouldn’t matter.

Faith: “Now, we just need to get her to survive until the Game is over, so that I can carry out my plan.” She said with a serious tone, looking into Maralia’s eyes.

Maralia: “…I won’t stop you. Mother basically just told me what I should do, sacrificing herself like that…” She said with a sad tone.

  Celia: “…”
