Chapter 16: Witches.

Vlad watched the humans flee with a satisfied smile on his face; they had given him valuable information on his wife, so they deserved to flee without issue; he turned on his heel and went back inside his home.

  “You're letting them go?

Elizabeth asked as she met him at the door. She wore a red cardigan with a white shirt underneath, skinny jeans, and black dockside shoes. Her gaze was curious, as she figured he'd drink their blood and recover more of his power.

“They gave me information on Alcina. Apparently, she sent them”

He said as he stood before her, curious as to why she was at the door.

“I suppose she’d do that after what you did, although I actually think she might be trying to kill you this time”

She informed, and Vlad raised a brow. Both she and Alcina should know the futility of such a task.

“Why would she want to do that?”

He asked as if the idea of his wife wanting to kill him was a non-issue, something one hardly had to worry about.

“I mean you did just go to a self-induced slumber despite our protests so maybe she thinks you deserve to die for that, I've thought about it trying to kill you myself but I didn't want to go through with it plus you’re my husband so meh”

She said, shrugging her shoulders; as an ancient Vampire, she was strong but hardly strong enough to kill him, although now that he's weaker, she probably could kill him, but again, she couldn't be bothered to try.

“So you're saying you love me enough not to kill me?”

He asked with a grin on his face, and Elizabeth simply huffed.

“Oh please, you're just good at sex, don’t fool yourself”

She protested as she folded her hands and looked to the side, Vlad simply smiled. She was certainly an adorable wife.

“But just because I wasn't mad enough to punish you for your selfish decision doesn't mean she isn't. Plus, you know she doesn't like it when you ignore her.”

She said before she stood on her tiptoes and gave him a nice peck on the lips, and patted his cheek with her delicate hand; Vlad simply snaked his arm around her waist and kissed her back before speaking.

“I suppose you're right, but where are you going? It's barely been a week since my awakening”

“I know but I have things to do, plus it's a surprise, I thought it would be pointless to learn it but I find myself wanting to so I'll be going out to learn it”

She said before kissing him once again; she was tempted to strip him down and have him fuck her right before the door while it was still open. However, she quickly reigned herself in.

“I take it you won't tell me what this thing you want to learn is?”

She smiled and shook her head, causing him to smile back before giving her another kiss on the lips and letting her go.

“If it's a surprise for me then, I can only wait for you to reveal it when you feel it's appropriate”

She gave him a nod and another kiss, but this time on the cheek before he stepped to the side, allowing her to exit.

“Also before I go, please use this time to spend time with Valerie, she's difficult when she's mad”

Unauthorized tale usage: if you spot this story on Amazon, report the violation.

“So this surprise excuse is just you running away because she's angry at you?”

He huffed in amusement as he said such, and Elizabeth didn't respond but instead just smiled at him before she exited the house, and he shook his head as he watched her leave.

“I suppose it's my duty to love my wives equally so this will be an opportunity for that”

He said as he recalled Valerie’s preferences, she was a bit more innocent than Elizabeth so anything too vulgar wouldn't do.

He flexed his arm and felt his strength. He was stronger than when he did it with Elizabeth, so he should be able to properly satisfy Valerie.

  [ROMANIA :Targu Mure?, Neumarkt]

The city was an old one, dating back even further than the 16th century, as such it is considered to be a city of historical importance and that shows with its architecture and infrastructure, most houses were styled to fit in 16th century Romania, with a bit of a modern touch added to it creating a sense of nostalgia to both its residents and visitors.

The city is located near the Mure? river, which is one of the longest rivers within the country of Romania.

Much like a lot of ancient cities, the city held a sort of mystical atmosphere, giving the visitors and its residents the sense there was a lot more within the city than what the eye could see, and that sense would be correct.

Elizabeth gently floated down and touched down on the city and began walking towards a specific direction; it was deep into the night so there were hardly any civilians.

She took a breath, a deep inhale as she smelt the air; due to the city having a lot of sidewalk trees, the air was fresh, a rarity in this modern world, something Valerie would probably incessantly talk about.

‘It has been 10 years, does she still care about it that much?’

She questioned herself as she moved through the city; her gait was confident and unafraid; she strutted like she owned the place and as if none could deny her if she chose to actually own the city.

She took a few twists and turns before arriving at her destination. It was a decently high-end Hotel, at the least high-end for the common folk, a relatively large 4-story hotel located near a restaurant.

She pushed open the double doors, and as soon as she entered, all the people in the lobby stopped whatever they were doing, turned and looked at her; she huffed in amusement before flicking her beautiful snow-white hair back and speaking.

“No need to be tense; I'm here for Viviana; is she in?”

She asked as she made her way towards the reception desk, and the witches quickly returned to the business they were doing before her arrival.

“Yes, Little Viviana is present. What are you here for, Lady Camilla?”

The receptionist, a woman with deep purple eyes, straight black hair and a charming mole below her right eye asked. She has a plus-size body accompanied by big breasts and appropriately thick thighs; of course, Elizabeth couldn't see that from behind the counter.

“You know, the trick doesn't work if you refer to the people you're supposed to be working for as “little” like they're your children”

Elizabeth noted, ignoring the name the witch used to refer to her and the witch also simply shrugged and smiled at the vampire, refusing to acknowledge Elizabeth's words causing the vampire to sigh.

“Whatever, Morgana. Tell Viviana I'm here and I need her help”

  “Right away M’lady”

With a press of a button, Morgana finished the task, and in under a minute, a woman walked out into the lobby.

  “Great, thanks”

Elizabeth said as she placed a single silver coin on top of the counter and quickly approached Viviana

Viviana was a woman with long ginger-brown hair tied into a single braid and honey-gold eyes; she had fair skin and a slender build; she wore a white blouse and a short mini skirt with thigh highs.

“I don't know why you're wearing sexy clothes like that, you don't have a boyfriend or husband”

“That's rich coming from someone who hasn't been laid in literal centuries”

Viviana bit back, and Elizabeth could only smirk at her ignorance.

“Bitch please, my husband is back and he railed me for three days straight, you could never”

Elizabeth proudly proclaimed as she folded her arms, doing her best to lift her nearly nonexistent breast.

Her words were heard by everyone in the room; some were embarrassed that she'd air her business out like that, but others, the older ones, were surprised that Vlad was awake.

Viviana herself found her eyes widening in surprise, but she was quick to contain her shock

She looked at the vampire but was too shocked to think of a verbal comeback, Viviana simply folded her arms and accentuated her own much bigger breast, causing Elizabeth to deflate in defeat.

“Anyway, what do you want? If your husband is back, I shouldn't be seeing you, not for another month at least”

The witch asked as they began to walk towards her room leaving the lobby and ascending the stairs.

“I need you to find someone for me, well I need you to find his wife for me”

As the two ascended the stairs, the witches in the lobby were quick to descend into a cacophony of whispers, each whisp conveying fear and anxiety; the room slowly got louder and louder per second until…

  “Enough!”

Morgana shouted, returning the lobby to its serene silence. However, the witches were correct to worry.

Something Morgana herself knew; after all, Vlad being awake brings trouble to their doorstep.

At present, there are three factions of vampires, well three that were influential, and consequently, this created three types of vampires.

‘Or rather it would be more accurate to say there were 2 factions and with Vlad's awakening the third will be revived’

The old witch thought, her cheeks tugging into a smile betraying the emotions of worry she felt.

Vlad's revival meant that both Barnabus and Nosferatu would probably move. They've been fighting amongst each other, but now that their common enemy is awake, they'll probably come to Romania.

“Everyone, curfew is now 9:00 pm. Understood?”

Her voice reverberated in the whole lobby and the witches turned to look at her.

  “Why?!”

One young witch asked, perplexed by such an early curfew; it was hardly enough time to do her witchy things, plus the ambient magic in the air becomes thicker at midnight, perfect for making mana-rich potions and conducting rituals.

  “Simply because I said so”

The young witch wanted to protest more but was held back by an older witch beside her. Morgana wasn't the type of witch to be tested and the older witches knew that better than anyone, not to mention the coven Mother sets the rules of the coven.

The quickest way for a vampire to grow in strength was to drink the blood of a magical creature or human with an affinity for magic and this means witches and sorcerers, however, the average witch can easily defend themselves provided they're competent enough so they don't usually fall prey to the average vampires.

As the coven Mother, Morgana held authority over all the witches in her coven, this meant dictating their time to leave the home and when it's time to come back, sometimes even who they'll marry, being a coven Mother worked similarly to being a parent.

With Vlad awake, that means more vampires in Romania and more vampires means more powerful vampires and that means her witches are in danger.

She got up from her chair, her large breasts bouncing as she did so and left the lobby, she needed to make preparations.

  ‘And perhaps hire security’
