“You really killed them all by yourself,” the dungeon creator had yet to shut up about my earlier encounter. “I don’t understand. Why won't you work with them if you’re so strong?”
“Like hell I’d let those NOOBs get in the way of my speed run. I’ve already lost more time than I should have because of them.”
“Speed run?”
“I’m trying to complete this dungeon as fast as possible.”
“Oh? Is that what you’re doing?”
“I just said it is.” I frowned as I turned a corner. There was a giant stone door with two large statues next to it. “And it looks like I’m almost done!” I grinned as I ran to the door. “Let's end the-AGH!” I slammed into the door.
“PFFT!”
“It’s not funny!” I yelled as I rubbed my leg. “Mmm. I guess it’s a pull.” I tried to pull it but nothing happened. “What the hell!? What’s the meaning of this?!”
“Hm? Oh, that’s easy. You said you wanted to speed run, so I changed the rules of the dungeon.”
“Eh?”
“Everyone in the dungeon must be together for the doors to open.”
“wHaT!” I squeaked. “Why would you do that?!”
“To piss you off. It looks like it worked.”
“I hate that tone in your voice! I’ll kick your ass!”
“Oh, I’m so scared.”
“GAH!” I shouted in frustration as I sat crisscrossed. “Fine. I’ll wait for them. But it won’t change the fact that I’ll instantly kill the boss behind that door.”
“I doubt that. But go ahead and think that.”
“Bite me!”
“I don’t like spoiled meat.”
“The hell does that mean?”
“You’re rotten; that’s what it means.”
“Grrrr!” I grit my teeth. “Whatever. Just…let me think.” I grumbled as I put the mask back on, waiting for the trio’s arrival.
“You know…they had four people in their party when they first entered.”
“Huh?” I moved the mask to the side of my face.
“There were four. One of them died.”
“Pfft. On the first floor?” I had met them on the second, meaning the fourth died on the first, seeing as there were only three when I met them.
“Some hero you are.”
“That’s because I’m not a hero.” I sighed as I looked up at the ceiling. “I’m not strong enough to be one. I’m more of a background character.”
“Not strong enough!” The girl shouted. “You took down an army of monsters by yourself!”
“That’s because the buff.”
“What buff?”
“The one I get from wearing this cloak and hood.”
“….”
“What? Why aren’t you saying anything? Are you shocked at how strong the buff on the armor is?” I grinned.
“….So that’s why you wear a Mask of Deception.” She mumbled.
“Huh? What are you-“ The footsteps approaching made me stop midsentence and move the mask back over my face.
“Those enemies weren’t that tough,” Han’s ego-filled voice reached me first as they rounded the corner.
“We might actually be able to clear-“
“IT’S HIM!” Sora squealed as she saw me, cutting Rubellia off. “You waited! I knew you would!” She ran at me as I stood up and attempted to jump into my arms. I stepped aside, causing her to ram face-first into the door. “Owie!” She cried as she held her nose. “What was that for?”
No touching! If you do, Nia will smell you all over me. It pisses her off, and there’s no way I’m being punished for your actions!
“Don’t point at me like that! What are you trying to say? Did you lie? Do you actually have a girlfriend?”
No! I shook my head violently.
“Of course you don’t.” She smiled mischievously. “If you did, you never would have smacked my ass.” She turned her behind to me. “You like it, right?”

Oh, momma! She’s shaking it like a milkshake!
“Sora!” Han stepped between us. “What are you doing? You don’t even know who or what this thing is.”
“It’s a he,” Sora argued.
“Well, you don’t know what he looks like. He’s wearing a mask. Maybe it’s because he’s ugly as hell.”
I pointed at him and nodded my head.
“What? You are ugly? I knew it!” Han fist pumped. “See, Sora? You have no reason to-“
“Say, Mr. Rabbit,” Sora ignored Han as she walked her fingers up my chest. “Do you…” her eyes met mine, and a shiver traveled up my spine as I saw the hearts in her eyes. “Fuck like a rabbit?” I attempted to step back, but she grabbed me by my collar and pulled me close. “Don’t back away, little rabbit. Nod your head yes or no.”
Unhand! I grabbed her wrist to push it away, but she quickly spun and locked me in an arm bar, pressing her finger to my jugular.
“Yes, or no!” She demanded an answer this time.
KYAAAA! GOD, HELP ME!
“Sora. Let him go. You’re scaring him.” At least Rubellia had some sense and tried calming her down. Han was only staring at me in despite.
“Not until he answers my question!”
Let me go! Let me-Wait, why am I acting like I can’t break free? I calmed myself and stood up like her hold did nothing to restrain me.
“Huh?” Sora’s eyes widened as I reached an arm back and grabbed the collar of her shirt, lifting her over me and dropping her to the ground. She landed with her legs sprawled out on her knees. “Wow. You really are strong.” She looked at Han. “Looks like you have a long way to go, Hero of Knowledge.”
“Don’t call me that.” Han frowned. “You know my name, and I told you we don’t need formalities.”
“I was just teasing.” Sora chuckled.
These two seem close. I thought as I looked from one to the other. I wonder if they’re dating.
“I see you getting jealous, my little rabbit.” I shivered at the nickname Sora gave me as it gave me flashbacks to Sabrina and her training. “Don’t worry. Nothing is going on between me and him. I know most people fawn over the heroes, but I’m not like other girls.” She squinted her eyes and smiled fiendishly. “Get me in the bed and I’ll show you that.”
“She’s lying.” Rubellia stepped toward me. “She was all over Han until recently. Until she met you.” She looked at Sora with a scowl. “After you ran into me on the second floor, you were all she talked about. And then after seeing you on floor six and all those monsters you killed, she’s been obsessed.” Rubellia looked at me with pity. “You never should have touched her butt. You sealed your fate with that.”
I was just trying to teach her a lesson about slowing down my speed run! I flailed my arms. I didn’t think she’d be the obsessive type! A tug on my sleeve drew my attention to Sora.
“My minds filled with thoughts of you.” She placed a hand between her thighs as she squirmed. “All kinds of thoughts. There’s something about you. Something that makes you attractive.” Sora's sapphire blue eyes stared intensely at me, shining softly in the dim light surrounding us.
A sense of unease washed over me, one that I couldn’t understand. There was something about the way she looked at me. Something about the way her eyes glowed. No, it was more than that. As I inched closer to get a better look at her eyes, I saw a reflection in them that made my heart drop.
