One of the stores that Lumina and the rest went to was a small bookstore hidden away in an alley that had a quiet and cosy interior, illuminated by a decorated delier. Rows upon rows of books lihe shelfs making it appear as a small library. Sharron was the oo reend this pce to her friends in an attempt te the gap to make them more than just teammates to her.
Looking around, Lumina found many different genres of books and picked them up to read the synopsis to have an idea what they were about. Some were about intrigue and mysteries upon the noble courts, some were about budding romances between knights and their dies and some were about whimsical adventures.
Just as she utting them back to look for more, an elderly dy with grey hair and sagging wrinkly cheeks was looming behind Lumina, carrying a gnarly wooden staff and wearing a patchy dress. Oh Jesus! She scared the hell out of me.
"H-hi, how may I help you?" Lumina stammered out a respoiffly from being jump scared by this elderly dy. The dy looked Lumina up and down before smiling a mysterious look befoing to a nearby table towards the back of the store waving Lumina to follow her.
Lumina in trepidation followed sneakily, making sure that she was still i of her friends. Both of them taking a seat, the dy passed her a cup of tea aured her to drink. Why isn't she saying anything? fused, Lumina reached for the teacup and brought it to her lips breathing in the aroma that the tea brought to her.
Mm its quite sweet. The old dy watched as Lumina finished drinking dowea. Once she finished drinking and pced the teacup down onto the table, the old dy reached over and brought the teacup towards her and peered down. What is she doing? Lumina thought to herself now in curiosity and ied in what was happening.
"You are a child a long way from home where passage ever be returned." The old dy had a raspy voice as she croaked out these words. Lumina immediately sat up when she heard her speak these words and had a premonition that there was important information that were to be reted to her.
"There will be many trials and tributions that you must endure, with allies and enemies aplenty yet, the biggest hurdle will be one of yreatest fears that you must face. There will also be a budding friendship with one who had been reborn to take back what was hers." The old dy finished speaking and graced Lumina with a gentle smile on her lips.
"I'm sorry, but I didn't catch your name, but who are you and how do you know of this?" Lumina questiohe old dy in suspi.
"Just a wanderer." The old dy pced her in her palm as she looked at Lumina with an odd knowing look in her dull eyes. Feeling mystified by this old dies as, Lumina was about to question her for more details and to stop being so cryptic when she heard Sheryl call out to her.
"Hey Ina, what you doing over by yourself?"
"Huh, t you see that I'm-" In fusion, Lumina looked at Sheryl while about to tell her that she was having a riveting versation with a person she didn't know, but when she looked back she saw that the old dy was missing cutting off whatever she was about to say. Where did she go? It couldn't be a figment of my imagination could it?
Lumina suppressing what she was inally going to say instead said "-I'm having a small tea break before tinuing to look for an iing book to purchase?"
"Yeah, well we already found some iing books that we wanted however, there is a se that haven't looked through yet and I think you might like it?" Sheryl said with a singsong voice towards the end leaving a mischievous grin pstered on her face. Lumina rolled her eyes at Sheryl's dispy and followed her into a se of bookshelves hidden by a pair of curtains.
Looking at the titles of many of the books caused Lumina to raise a brow until she found ohat sounded iing by the name alo was called 'A forbidden love'. Ied, Lumina grabbed the book and studied the synopsis on the ba which reading it caused her cheeks to redden in shod embarrassment.
The synopsis states that it was a forbidden love between a young noble woman and a female guard that eloped against their parents wishes. Yet this isn't so bad if this was a love story but it wasn't. It was aiovel that would go into detail in the synopsis, not being shy into alluding as to what the type of story it would be that made Lumina blush so much.
"So its this ohat is ya?" Sheryl questioned while Shannon just looked bored if Lumina didn't just catch a glimpse of her smirking in amusement before wiping it off of her face.
"A-Ah, its, N-no... yes." After stammering for a little bit, Lumiually after a pause, gives a sheepish aowledgement with a miniscule nod.
"Haha I k!"
"Huh? What do mean by that?" Lumina still blushing for a few reasons, shifted from one foot to another as she hid the book behind her back.
"Well, whenever we were together and discussed romance or looked at the few men who walked by us when we were at a tea shop you never showed any i in men so I thought you had no i in roma all. Meanwhile, Sheryl guessed that you were more ied in the fairer sex." Sharron expined in her monotone voice while Sheryl was giggling up a storm.
After this mini episode, they all paid for the books ahe store to tinue looking around the markets. It was only after everything that Lumina was ba the Inns' room that she only just realised that she didn't think about the killing that she did a couple of days ago.
