Having finished the general layout of the Green Skin Territory, Dan spent quite a while spawning the various green skins.
After coming to, the green skin quickly established themselves in their camps and promptly got to work on killing the invading monsters from the mist. A task that got easier with every monster addition Dan made to his dungeon. And it would only be a matter of time before Dan could effectively blockade the mists, stopping too many monsters from entering deeper into his territory.
Dan knew it would be a while longer before he was ready to open up his dungeon, and he wanted to milk the mana as much as he could. Speaking of opening up his dungeon, the World Crystal informed him that preparations were being made on the outside world to ensure his opening day went as smoothly as possible.
The godly entity had been conversing with various deities who, in turn, made sure to begin expanding upon what Dan was making, mainly how the entire project would work or at least the general idea of it. After all, Dan didn’t want to throw anyone into his dungeon without any information because otherwise, it would all seem alien and threatening.
The broad strokes explained that it was a creation from the World Crystal where new adventurers could fight monsters and grow while having a few other upsides. Most explanations talked about how it would be an almost endless pool of monsters to fight with interesting new experiences for adventurers.
Furthermore, it was important to understand that Dan’s dungeon, which was not the official name, was a place with real dangers where adventurers could still die. Out of everything, the most important piece of information spread was that the dungeon, as it was called, would be for D rankers, at least at first. And on that note, not all D rankers would be allowed to join in.
In the outside world, the entire introduction was being managed by various deity-based organizations that were limiting the number of adventurers that could enter the dungeon. This limit was enforced by only handing out invitations to a wide variety of D rankers.
That had been a very specific requirement from both Dan and the World Crystal. They didn’t want some noble brats or only outstanding individuals to enter his dungeon. Dan’s dungeon was meant to be a place of equal opportunity, and the World Crystal was paying attention to the multitude of individuals being invited to make sure the gods weren’t playing favorites. Furthermore, all gods were invited to send their low rankers, though, for the so-called darker gods, it would be at their discretion since the World Crystal or Dan couldn’t guarantee that their followers wouldn’t be killed by others if they were found out.
Additionally, Dan and the World Crystal planned to make a secondary route for new adventurers to join. Even if Dan kept saying adventurers, it was really anyone at D rank.
The new route they were planning involved tokens that people could get when completing quests. Any quest could give the token, but the chances varied. The important part was that the token could be given to someone who hadn’t participated in Dan’s dungeon just yet and would allow them to teleport directly inside Dan’s dungeon floor. It was a way for new people to join and also allowed the various “bad” people to get in without entering through the front door.
Because, yes, Dan’s entrance spot would be out in the real world and managed by the Adventurer’s Guild for the sake of protection and neutrality. Even if that neutrality didn’t fully extend to the followers of the darker deities.
Anyway, things were moving in the outside world, so Dan would have access to adventurers the moment he opened up his dungeon. However, that was still a few months away, and Dan got back to his dungeon creation.
The last thing he wanted to do in the Green Skin Territory was set up a specific set of item drops. So far, most items that would drop for monsters anywhere were more or less automatically generated based on presets he set up in the system, and it hadn’t been that hard to set the items to drop with certain drop percentages.
Outside of these general items, there would be items that would act as final rewards for each zone. Dan had wanted to handcraft these items, but to make things actually feel rewarding and somewhat unique, it had been better to increase the power parameters of the enchantments and let the system handle the rest, and not because Dan was lazy.
Okay, yes, Dan was lazy.
One of the biggest examples of enchanted item creations that would have overwhelmed Dan was in the Green Skin Territory. Not only would joining a certain camp give a different final reward, but based on what power that camp commander got, there would be even more variations.
The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.
On that note, one thing that Dan had crafted himself were the shards that each commander could receive. Each shard was rather basic and, from an adventurer's point of view, didn’t give much information, but that didn’t matter since they could still feel the power inside.

Name: Star Shard.

Item Rank: ??? - Quest Item.
Enchantment: Legendary Resilience. Star Power.
Ability: ??? - Quest Item.
Description: A crystal shard in the shape of a star that contains great power within.
Instructions: Only usable by one of the three Green Skin Commanders in the Green Skin Territory.

In contrast to the shard, the rewards gained from the event in the territory would actually divulge their information like all other normal items. For the Star Shard, it simply stated Star Power, which didn’t say much to adventurers because it was innate power that would upgrade and change a commander at a base level, effectively making them into a new entity.
Meanwhile, if an adventurer joined the hobgoblin camp and managed to complete the final event, they could receive a bow, crossbow, quiver, or other magical bauble. If they got a bow and the commander ended up getting the Sun Shard, it was likely their final item would look something like this.

Name: Solar Bow.
Item Rarity: Ancient.
Item Rank: D.
Enchantment: Durable. Self Repair. Mana Storage. Flame Imbuement.
Ability: Rain of Flaming Arrows.
Description: A wooden bow dropped from the final fight in the Green Skin Territory. The bow is durable for its rank and capable of self-repairing any non-major damage. Due to the faction joined gaining the Solar Shard during the event, the bow has been imbued with fire properties. This property also lets the bow imbue fire magic into normal arrows. Finally, the bow has the Rain of Flaming Arrows ability that allows it to make a special attack.
Instructions: Imbue mana into the bow to gain knowledge on how it is operated.

Looking at the item, Dan noticed that it had an Item Rank and so had the Star Shard. That was something previous items didn’t have, and he assumed it was a nice new addition by the World Crystal. He had questioned it before because even if an item's rarity was high, it didn’t mean its rank was, and though both could be combined for a general rating, Dan felt having both separate rankings was nice.
Moving on from the bow and taking a look at the rewards for the mini-dungeon, whose loot system was mostly the same in terms of loot assignment. However, instead of everyone doing the mini-dungeon getting an item, only one item would be dispensed. To counter this, the adventurers would be able to choose the type of item they wanted and whether it would be moon, sun, or star-focused. Of course, to balance that, the items the boss gave wouldn’t be as powerful as some of the items adventurers could gain from the final boss fight of the green skin event.
And looking at one of the multitude of items the boss could drop, Dan knew that the items could still be useful, especially for starting broke adventurers.

Name: Moon Wand.
Item Rarity: Ancient.
Item Rank: D.
Enchantment: Durable. Self Repair. Mana Storage. Mana Absorption.
Ability: Moon Beam.
Description: A wooden wand dropped from the final boss of the Stellar Mini Dungeon. The wand is durable for its rank and capable of self-repairing any non-major damage. This particular wand is capable of absorbing and storing a limited amount of mana, which can be used to release various Moon Beams.
Instructions: Imbue mana into the bow to gain knowledge on how it is operated.

The wand was essentially a rechargeable wand able to make beam attacks like the Moon Snakes could. And just for that, the item was already fairly powerful since it could come in handy if an adventurer ran out of mana.
Happy with the items he would hand out to adventurers, Dan looked through the Green Territory once again and found everything ready to go. So, with the area done to the best of his abilities, Dan moved to start dungeonfying the hills where the giant had been.
