Training Alone

  ~~~POV: Fuyuki Uchiha~~~
  It’s been two days since Aiko taught me about chakra, and today is the first day I’m starting my training by myself. You could argue that leaving a five-year-old alone to learn about Taijutsu, Shurikenjutsu, and Ninjutsu is reckless, but from what I remember about the Naruto world, this is how it is most of the time.
  ‘Yesterday was the first day I took off from any training. Spending a little bit of time away from the constant training. It’s sad that I have to admit this, but I’m in better shape now than I ever was in my old life.’
  The shinobi world is full of ways to become strong. More than any normal person could back in my old life. So, I can’t really call it a comparison.
  My thoughts drift to other subjects in my silent trip to the secluded training area.
  ‘I’ll have to learn how scrolls work at some point. Carrying around a backpack is annoying.’
  Quest Created - ‘Fledgling Fuinjutsu.’
  You want to learn how scrolls work, and that requires learning about Fuinjutsu. Read 0/3 books about Fuinjutsu. There is no time limit to this quest.
  Rewards:
  Increase in rep with Aiko Hikara.
  6,500 EXP.
  New Title.
  Failure:
  Slight decrease in rep with Aiko Hikara.
  Large decrease in rep with the orphans.
  New Title.
  Accept? (Y/N)
  ‘I absolutely love the system. I want to learn how scrolls work; it gives me a quest and a place to start. I have to read three books about Fuinjutsu. I’m not familiar with all the types of jutsu. So, I just learned that jutsu involving seals is called Fuinjutsu.’
  “Yes, give it to me.”
  The quest is accepted and added to my quest log. What I really like about it is there isn’t a fixed time limit. So, I can put it off until I’m done with ‘Get ahead of your peers.’
  ‘I shouldn’t keep wasting time. Not with a whole day ahead of me.’
  I pull out the books from my backpack and start laying them across the grass. The first book is about beginner Taijutsu, and the second is about Ninjutsu. I’m focusing on these two for now. Shurikenjutsu is one I’ll handle last.
  I’m naturally drawn to the Ninjutsu book first, and I crack it open. I spend the next two hours reading through the book. Learning about special chakra control exercises that’ll help me. Before I start trying to cast actual Ninjutsu, I want to get a skill that increases my chakra control.
  ‘There is an interesting one—basic, simple, and one that’s where I should start: the Leaf Concentration Technique. I don’t need to move my body, and I don’t need to bring shurikens with me to train.’
  The Leaf Concentration technique involves using your chakra to stick a leaf to your forehead, increasing your chakra control and spending it at the same time. Given my skills, it shouldn’t cost me a large amount. I grab a random leaf and place it on my forehead, using my chakra to keep it there.
  [A new skill is created with a specific action.]
  Leaf Concentration Technique - Active/Passive (Lvl. 5 (80%)): A skill obtained through continuously focusing chakra to stick a leaf to a part of your body. A basic technique to help the user's mind focus and Increase chakra control.
  Effects: +10% increase in chakra control.
  CP cost: 9/sec.
  -10% CP cost to chakra techniques.
  You have leveled up this skill 4x times.
  ‘This won’t take me more than a couple of hours to max out, and then I’ll have way better chakra control.’
  I spend the required time to maximize this new skill, and I don’t even use all my chakra to do it. Once it’s maxed out, I can feel a massive difference. When I go to the academy, I know I’ll draw a lot of attention, so getting stronger now is important to me.
  Due to learning and understanding new information, you have obtained +1 INT
  The genuine version of this novel can be found on another site. Support the author by reading it there.
  ‘Not only do I get this skill maxed, but I also unlock a new one since I reach more than 50 stat points in CHK.’
  Due to continued chakra training, you have obtained +18 CHK
  Enhanced Chakra - Passive (Upgradable at 100 Chakra): A skill obtained by training and growing your chakra at a continuous and commensurate rate. Helps user control their chakra. All chakra-infused jutsu’s are stronger.
  Effects: +100% to chakra control
  +100% growth to the chakra stat
  +100% damage increase with jutsu involving chakra
  -50% cost to all jutsu chakra requirements
  Leaf Concentration Technique - Active/Passive (Lvl. Max): A skill obtained through continuously focusing chakra to stick a leaf to a part of your body. A basic technique to help the user's mind focus and Increase chakra control.
  Effects: +200% increase in chakra control.
  CP cost: 1/sec.
  -200% CP cost to chakra techniques.
  You’ve leveled this skill to the max!
  +10,000 EXP.
  You’ve leveled up 3x times.
  You’ve obtained 21 stat points.
  You have 214 unspent stat points.
  “This is utterly ridiculous. The rate I’m able to grow in such a short amount of time boggles my mind. There has to be some sort of drawback somewhere, but I haven’t found it…”
  Maybe the drawback isn’t inside the system but in the world around me. When people find out what I’m capable of and that I’m a Uchiha, my life will become extremely complicated. Honestly, it just motivates me more to keep getting better.
  ‘Now, it’s time to move on to Taijutsu.’
  Now that I’ve learned something from the Ninjutsu book Aiko gave me, I think switching it up would be fun. I pick up the Taijutsu book and crack it open, immediately starting to read. It’s different from the Ninjutsu book. In this book, there are diagrams and drawings of what Taijutsu should look like.
  ‘Leaf Academy Taijutsu, huh… It’s a good starting point. There's no need to start anywhere else but here. It literally has the academy's name in it.’
  I spend the next 45 minutes reading through all the descriptions, instructions, diagrams, and drawings of the Leaf Academy Taijutsu. From what I can understand, this is more of a fundamental style that I can build off. A few more minutes pass, and something new I haven’t seen pops up.
  You have understood the basics of Leaf Academy Taijutsu style and thus gained [Leaf Academy Taijutsu].
  Would you like to learn this skill?
  My suspicions about using books to unlock skills straight away have been proven. I don’t know how encompassing this is or what triggers it in certain situations. The best I can go on is understanding the contents of the skill book, thus providing a possible trigger. Just as it says in the system notification.
  “Yeah, I want it.”
  It’s not a second later my request is granted.
  Leaf Academy Taijutsu - Active (Lvl. 1 (1%)): A basic Taijutsu style taught in the leaf academy. Increases the attack power and defense power.
  Effects: +5% Increase in attack power.
  +5% Increase in defense.
  +4% Increase in speed
  -5% Decrease in damage taken.
  Now that I have beginner-level Taijutsu, I’m halfway through finishing one of the three objectives. I could get up and start leveling it up, but since I can learn skills from books, that means I could probably learn the Shurikenjutsu skills without having to throw them first.
  ‘No time like the present.’
  I place the Taijutsu book down and pick up the Shurikenjutsu one. Calmly going through the pages as I do. Having the same description templates as Taijutsu. Diagrams and drawings on how to hold them and throw them properly.
  It takes me around an hour to go through everything, making sure I wrap my head around it. But once I’m able to visualize it in my head, I get the system message.
  You have understood the basics of Shurikenjutsu and thus gained [Shurikenjutsu].
  Would you like to learn this skill?
  ‘Yep, give it to me.’
  Shurikenjutsu - Active (Lvl. 1 (1%)): The skill to use shuriken or kunai, usually as projectile weapons.
  Effects: +5% Increase in Accuracy.
  +5% Increase in damage dealt.
  Alright, with both of these new skills, I’m already almost halfway done with everything. I can’t train my Shurikenjutsu with kunai or shurikens, but I can start practicing on the Taijutsu.
  I stand up and start training in the Leaf Academy Taijutsu style, remembering everything I had learned from the book and putting it into practice. I spend the rest of the day working on the style. When I reach exhaustion, I Meditate.
  After all the work, the results show themselves. I reached level 50 in the Taijutsu style, thus marking one of the last three objectives I have left as completed. This leaves me with leveling Shurikenjutsu to level 50 and learning one E-rank Ninjutsu.
  Due to continued physical training and cycles of recovery, you’ve obtained +5 AGI and +5 DEX
  Leaf Academy Taijutsu - Active (Lvl. 50 (71%)): A basic Taijutsu style taught in the leaf academy. Increases the attack power and defense power.
  Effects: +100% Increase in attack power.
  +100% Increase in defense.
  +100% Increase in speed
  -100% Decrease in damage taken.
  The night is coming, and the sun is setting over Konoha. Aiko will be expecting my return today. I’m excited to show her my progress the next time she checks in on my progress. At the rate I learn, I’ll need other things to occupy my time after this quest is finished.
  There is the dungeon at the Hokage monument that I found, but I know I’m not ready for that. Maybe I should spend some time searching for some dungeons when I’m done with this quest. Before I do, I’ll have to learn some other Jutsus, too.
  ‘I should head back; Aiko is probably starting to worry about me.’
  I leave the training area and head back to the orphanage; upon my arrival, the stars are just starting to come out. Once inside, I see Aiko look in my direction, smile at me, and nod her head, letting me know that she’s glad I’m back.
  My usual routine follows suit as I make my way to the bathroom and start getting ready for a shower. That’s one thing I’m glad the world of Shinobi has. I’m not a fan of bathing in my own filthy water.
  ‘Tomorrow is another day of training, and I’ll need to bring some kunai and shurikens with me. There were some interesting E-rank Ninjutsus in that book, too. I’m ready for them now, and they’re the last thing I need to do other than leveling Shurikenjutsu to 50.’
  With tomorrow already planned out, I’m ready to relax tonight.
  I’ve earned it.
