A cardboard box appeared at my feet. Inside was a bottle of water, with strange symbols on the bottle in some alien language and a granola shaped bar of food in a clear package.
To a 4 year old like Molly it didn't appear to look very appetizing. I spent the next couple of minutes coaxing Molly to eat. Despite her objections to how it looked it apparently tasted decent.
"Tastes like meaty Mac and cheese." she exclaimed, when I finally got her to take a nimble out of the corner of it. At that point all resistance ended and I had to caution her to chew.
Opening the bottle it was as the shop said it would be, clean water. Molly started carrying it like an oversized sippy cup as we started our journey again. Along a stream that flowed nearby. My databanks finding substantial data that a good thing to do while lost is to follow water to civilization. Soon however Molly's footsteps began to slow.
"I'm tired!" She moaned.
I wasn't surprised we had been walking a lot and it was close to Molly's bedtime. I had noticed no matter how much time passed the sun's position in the sky never changed. Where was she going to rest in the middle of a forest however.

"Ok sweety climb onto my back and hold on. We will find you a place to sleep." I lower myself down so she can climb on my back. She is heavy for my slender frame but not to much. I start scanning from a comfortable and safe place to set her done for a rest.
Soon fluttering wings divert my attention as small humanoids with butterfly wings flitter about at edge of the trees and haunting little giggles and laughs ring out. Molly gapes in awe at the mesmerizing sight.
Voices patterns detected...
"Hello is anyone there. This girl needs help or a place to sleep."
"Yes, sleep. We know place to sleep. We show you.Follow, follow, follow." ,the fairies voices ring out in chorus.
As we approach a mossy clearing the number of small creatures increases. There in the middle of the clearing is a cherry tree in full bloom as I watch the little fairies gather the nectar of the flowers.
One of the little fairies flutters close and lands on Molly's nose.A cloud of pollen dust puffs out and Molly yawns and her eyes droop. I set her down on the moss. It's not much but she should be able to sleep comfortably there while I stand guard.
A fairy flies up close to my face and another pollen cloud puffs out. Afterward the fairy seems irritated for some reason and flys off.
While Molly sleeps I settle into a patrol around the clearing keeping an eye out for threats. It is on one of these rotations that my foot hits something hard.
Something hard a white. Something hard and white and round. There lying hidden under dense moss is a skull. There are bones under the moss something it definitely not right.
