Chapter Ten
Whether holding a mobile phone, with some hesitation, for a moment did not answer, just pretend that I didn't hear it.
He Baiyao listened to the mechanical artificial voice coming from his mobile phone, and casually put it on the office desk. He picked up the two A4 white papers in front of him.
Ning is a student in the School of Economics and Management, majoring in Business Administration. Her registered address is her school dormitory. He Baiyao looked at her resume, Ning had been receiving national scholarships every year since her freshman year.
He Baiyao suddenly thought of what He Baichen had said.
"You don't understand her, she's a very good girl."
At that time he really felt it was quite ironic. This younger brother is just too simple-minded.
He Baiyao raised his hand and stroked his temples, while the other hand gently tapped on the desktop.
"Director He, this is cash," said Assistant Zhang as he knocked on the door and came in.
He Baiyao nodded, "How has Bo Chen been lately?"
"Everything is fine, fully devoted to learning now."
"Still, be careful."
However, he sent some things back for Miss Ning.
He Baiyao furrowed his brow, "Don't send those things over. Let him give up early."
Assistant Zhang still had a serious expression on his face, but in his heart, he was secretly thinking: "Director He, you don't know that breaking up someone's marriage will bring bad luck."
He Baiyao didn't get through to Ning Si's phone, and he guessed that Ning Si was intentionally not answering his calls. He Baiyao seemed to be thinking deeply, and had someone investigate, discovering that she hadn't been out working recently either, with the winter break approaching soon, probably busy with final exams.
The semester is about to end, and Ning was just preparing for the final exam when news came from home that his grandmother had suddenly fainted. When Ning received a call from his aunt, his face turned pale in an instant, filled with fear all over his body.
"We're at Provincial Hospital now, we've already registered, if there's any situation I'll let you know."
"Aunt, I'll come over right now."
Auntie gritted her teeth and said, "Alright."
Either the book was spread out on the table in the library, or carrying a bag and rushing to the hospital.
The neighbor drove to take the old lady to the hospital. The old lady was receiving an intravenous drip in her ward. When Ning came over, Aunt's face didn't look very good.
"Aunt, how's Grandma?" Her face was full of tension.
Her aunt frowned and pulled her outside, "There's a tumor in your belly."
"What?"
"Who knew? She used to complain about stomach pain, we just thought she ate something bad, old people have poor digestion." Auntie rubbed her hands.
"What should we do?" Ning muttered.
"Auntie hesitated, 'We need to wait for a more detailed diagnosis. To be honest, I don't know either. Let's wait until your uncle comes back and discuss it then.' Auntie was someone who lacked confidence in her decision-making, and with something like this happening, she was already flustered."
She told herself that she couldn't panic at this time. She took a deep breath and said, "I'll go ask the doctor first, maybe it's a benign tumor."
Aunt nodded repeatedly, "You've read a lot of books, go ask the doctor."
Whether it's on the way to the tumor department, there have been many thoughts in my heart. If it wasn't for grandma's persistence at the beginning, maybe today wouldn't be her now.
The old lady is too important in Ning's heart.
Whether it's walking hastily, as if they haven't seen what's in front of them at all.
Lu Tian and a group of people walked past her, he caught sight of Ning Shi at a glance, and kept staring at her, but Ning Shi didn't react at all. He came to the provincial middle school for an exchange study today, and the meeting just ended.
"Dr. Lu—" someone shouted.
Lu Tian turned around and said, "I have something to attend to, I won't be having lunch." After finishing speaking, he turned around and left. His long legs quickly caught up with Ning Shi in a short while.
"Hey - who's there - " Lu Tian shouted from behind.
Ning didn't notice the situation behind her at all. When Lu Tian suddenly appeared in front of her, Ning didn't have time to stop her footsteps and rushed straight into his arms.
Lu Tian took a step back and blocked her shoulders with both hands.
She stood still, looking at him coldly with a scowl on her face, "How can you walk like that?!" She was annoyed and indignant.
Lu Tian raised an eyebrow, "I called you." Seeing Ning's tense face, he helplessly shrugged his shoulders.
She didn't want to say anything more to him, so she lifted her foot and continued walking forward, leaving Lu Tianyun behind. Lu Tian watched as her hurried figure disappeared from view, slowly closing his eyes.
Lu Tian followed her and watched as she walked into the oncology department.
It wasn't until quite a while later that she saw her walk out of the department, her face pale and her eyes dim and deep, once again ignoring Lu Tian.
Lu Tian saw her walking out of the building, sitting alone on the edge of a flower bed, with shrubs behind her. Suddenly, a very bad idea surged into Lu Tian's mind. He stopped in his tracks and suddenly thought of that day when she pitifully begged him not to give her an injection.
Lu Tian slowly walked up to her side, "Hey——"
She raised her head and glanced at him lightly. Seeing a tall man standing in front of her, he blocked all the sunset, his face was a bit blurry.
"What's wrong?"
Lu Tian's mouth was shut tight, "That one is Dr. Lu."
"Oh——doctor." Ning's mind was a bit muddled.
Lu Tian seemed to understand that Ning had completely forgotten him. He stiffened his face, "I'm a doctor, the one who gave you an injection that night, I'm a friend of He Baiyao."
She finally reacted a bit, her eyes gradually focusing together.
"Remember now?" Lu Tian raised an eyebrow.
She stood up and said heavily, "I don't know you." She didn't want to bother with him anymore.
Lu Tian's eyes twitched slightly as he saw her about to leave. He walked alongside her, "Is something wrong? Are you ill?"
Either ignore him and continue walking forward.
Lu Tian had never encountered such treatment before. Since he was young, wherever he went, he was the center of attention. However, he had a way to deal with it and soon found out what was going on.
His thin lips moved slightly, and after returning, he called He Baiyao.
"Do you know who I met today?"
He Baiyao let out a cold hum.
Lu Tian cleared his throat, "You mean the one hiding in Songshan Villa."
"Have you gone to X University?" Ning was busy with the final exams recently and had been staying at school almost all the time, but surprisingly he ran into Lu Tian.
Lu Tian looked out of the window, "In the hospital, her grandmother was ill, I saw she was in a hurry."
