"So... How long do we need to wait?", I asked Akhul. "Until we cannot pretend anymore. For example if thirst becomes too much." "You can't be serious right? We don't even really know if it was poisoned at all". I said to him, slightly annoyed. "Still, doesn't hurt to try. If it really wasn't poisoned, then we can still pretend to have choked to death"."Ugh... Wait, why are we even pretending in the first place?" "So we can meet our, if they really exist, assassin and face them. Maybe getting a few answers and a way out of this." I was confused. After some time, I spoke again, "Why should I keep going? You clearly have a goal. Me? What do I have? I finally escaped this dreaded nobles family, found a new group that accepted me, just for their leader to be a demon or similar. And did we even get rewarded for killing this... thing? No, we were shunned and locked away. Treated like an ordinary murderer, no, like a gods damned monster. What should I live for?? Myself?? What even am I with you in my head, pressed against my mind and leeching of my physical body like a fucking parasite! Should've gotten the body of a corpse or manifested as a spirit, not invade the body of a newborn!" I paused, Akhul wanted to say something, but I continued, as I got more and more enraged. "You make me so gods damned sick, you absolute slug! Trying to boast yourself as something so mighty and strong, yet you don't even have a body anymore! Are you trying to make me fucking laugh?? Stop trying to make yourself so important, parasitic ghost of a bygone era! Should've faded in history like all before you." "Little one, ..." "LET ME FINISH! And not only are you satisfied with my body, no. Constant complaining. Don't think that I didn't hear you all this time. Ever since I could remember, you talked shit about everything and anything I ever did! By the gods! The constant complaining of my stupidity while I was first learning everything. Walking, talking, behaving, ... Do you even know how long it took me to stop hating myself because of you? The constant nagging and negativity, until finally, FINALLY, you decide to speak to me directly. My gods, I was so happy, that I really didn't hate myself, instead, it was this shit eating shotgun riding passenger who contributed NOTHING, yet still saw himself as an adorned god, that shall be thanked to even consider me as his vessel. Let me tell you something Akhul, I never ever felt so disgusted at another human. You hold this record. For me, you are only the shunned God of Disgust."
I took another pause. This mental dialog made me sweat. I felt that Akhul was about to say something again, so before he could I retorted, "Even after all that, you still dare to want to speak? I can tell you only one more thing. My goal in life will be to get you out of my body. I will only continue to live, so I can see how your goals and dreams never become reality. I truly, deeply despise you."
My breathing became heavier, I silently cried on the cold, stone floor. "I'm sorry". Akhul faintly said. I continued to cry, leaving tears on the floor and on my face.

'Akhul, sweetheart. Are you awake?' I opened my eyes. A wonderful elven man lies next to me in bed. 'You seemed to have a nightmare again. Was it from that time?' 'I don't remember and even if I could, the impressions the nightmare might've left are blown away by your beauty' I leaned towards him, closed my eyes and we kissed. Suddenly, a water droplet ran down my cheek. I opened my eyes to see the elf crying. 'What's wrong?' 'Akhul, ...' Before he could finish talking he put his head on my chest and began to fully cry. Tears ran down my body as I caressed his wonderful white hair. 'Promise me', he said. 'Promise me that you will come back to me'. 'I swear it, by my name and identity. I shall return to you once more and offer you my embrace'.
His crying died down a bit. 'Thank you'. A smile formed on his face as he looked me in the eyes. 'Thank you so much Akhul. I love you', 'I love you too'.
The door of my cell swung open. "Calm", Akhul said as he stopped my body from jolting up. "Is it dead? Stab it to be sure". I heard a person pull a sword out of a sheath and come closer. "Wait for it", Akhul said. When the person stopped, I heard their plate armor continue to move. "Now!", my body rolled away and I turned around to see 2 guards in my cell, one reached out with the tip of their sword to where I previously was. The other stands near the door.
Before the guard could strike, I stepped on their sword and swung my hand in a wide arch against the side of their helmet. Thanks to Akhul, hitting with the palm of my hand, instead of a fist, minimized the damage. I hit them with such force that their head bopped back and fourth, accompanied with a loud crack sound. After that, they fell limp to the ground. Seizing the opportunity, I grabbed their sword and launched towards the second guard. My first blow was blocked by the guards handrail. They didn't waste their opportunity either and parried by diverting my blade with theirs and leaving me wide open. However, as their retaliatory strike drew near, I bend my knees to fall under their blade and hit the backside of their left knee. The blade cut smoothly all the way to the kneecap, making them fall on their back with a pained scream. I jumped up and drove the tip of my sword into their throat, through their chain mail coif and neck guard. Akhul twisted the sword before pulling it out, killing the guard instantly.
"We cannot remain here. Others have surely heard the scream". I dropped the sword and made my way through the cellar and out of the house they used for my temporary cell. It already turned to night. Luckily the 3 full moons provided enough light to see, yet remain hidden. "Seems like no one heard it after all. Do you still have business to attend to here?" Akhul asked me. "No", I answered. "Let's just leave".
I felt Akhul nod. "Just walk out right behind us. I don't see any look outs or patrols". 'Goodbye Kilian', I thought, not knowing we'll see each other again.
