He looked to be around my age, dressed in a maroon suit with gold trim and a matching tie. His low-cut black hair was slicked back, shiny as if he had used a whole thing of gel. His eyes a bright blue just like his mother’s.
He’s tall. Six feet, I guess.
“You’re Sky?”
“Yes, and you are...
“Not bad,” He stated, licking his lips.
“Excuse me?” I quickly zipped my jacket, suddenly feeling exposed after catching his eyes on my chest instead of my face.
And no, I’m not wearing anything revealing. Just a regular long-sleeve t-shirt. Round neck, not a V-neck. It covers everything for crists sake.
“Oh, don’t give me that look. I just watched those big, beautiful hazels scan me from head to toe, but I can’t do the same?”
I scoffed. Did it really look like I was checking him out?
“I… was not staring, or checking you out. I’ve just never seen a prince before in real life. Excuse me for admiring your fancy appearance,” I quickly said defensively
“Oh, you think it’s fancy? Tell me more,” He smirked.
Before I could respond, another guy walked in.
Our eyes met, and somehow I got lost in his blue orbs. Just like the Queens and this pervert, his eyes were a breathtaking blue and somehow they seemed different. They made me feel…
I can’t actually explain what I’m feeling, but I couldn’t look away at least not until his velvety voice snapped me out of whatever spell that was.
“Sky,” I stated as I reached out and took his hand. Jeez, what did he say his name was again? I thought as his hand left mine.
“Oh, so Lou here gets the warm, gentle you, yet you were just treating me like some pervert.” The first guy scoffed.
Oh, Lou.
Now that I think about it, the pervert never introduced himself.
Lou laughed, flashing a smile so perfect it looked like one you'd see in a crest ad.
“Well, let me guess, you were staring at her chest,” Lou gave him a confronting glare.
“I’m a guy. A normal guy can’t help but notice a girl’s figure when he first sees her. I was not staring,” He shot back defensively.
“Oh yeah? Did you even introduce yourself?”
“I am King Sattarros's finest son. Do I need an introduction?”

“How else will she know your name?” Lou questioned punching him the shoulder.
The guy cleared his throat before turning to face me, this time keeping his eyes locked on mine.
“I’m Jason,” He stated and as if something had just clicked he turned back to Lou with his arms folded over his chest.
“Wait, do I need a lecture from you? I’m older than you. Stop giving me lectures,”
Before I could stop it. The giggle had already escaped my lips. I covered my mouth feeling bad for laughing.
“What’s funny?” Jason asked, annoyed.
“She can laugh if she wants,” Lou stated.
And my eyes meet his once again.
“You shouldn’t cover such a beautiful smile.”
Well, my teeth look like nothing compared to his. Maybe I should.
I could feel my cheeks get warm and quickly looked away. What am I doing? I was supposed to thank him. What’s wrong with me? He’s going to think I’m rude.
“Thank… Just as I’m about to, another guy walks in. Is he also a prince?
Well, he is definitely not dressed like an employee. He looked a bit older than Jason and Lou, but not too much.
“She hasn’t even been here for a full hour, yet you two are already in her room,” the new guy said coldly.
It was as if he had just caught them stealing. I frowned, confused by the hostility.
“What’s it to you?” Jason questioned as he and Lou turned to face him. Well, the tension that graced the room now was as thick as a juicy steak.
“She’s my fiance” The new guy stated, causing Jason and Lou to burst into laughter.
I didn't get the joke.
fiancée… Me?
I don’t even know him.
“Dude, get over yourself, will you?” Lou laughed.
“Exactly what makes you think she’ll choose to marry you? She just got here,” Jason said firmly.
“What do you mean she will choose? It’s already been chosen,” the new guy stated, causing my mouth to drop. Already chosen?
“By who?” Lou questioned.
“By me.” The room fell silent as all of us turned our attention to King Sattarro.
“I’m sorry, what?” Jason asked.
“Dad, how can you choose her life long partner for her. That should be her decision,” Lou said firmly.
The king glanced at me before turning back to Lou.
“You and Jason are to stay out of her room, as she will be marrying Dakota.”
They scoffed at the same time as if they were in sync.
“Do you always have to give this bastard whatever he wants?” Jason questioned the king.
“You know it, brother, Whatever, and whoever,” Lou stated as he glanced back at me.
His gaze was different from before. If I didn’t know better I'd assume he was hurt by the news of me being off the table.
“As you wish, Dad,” Lou stated as he began to walk away.
“What’s wrong pa? You afraid no one will willingly choose your golden child themselves cause he’s a lunatic,” Jason spat.
“Enough!” The king yelled, causing me to flinch.
“Lou turned and grabbed Jason’s wrist. He’s right, Jason. That’s enough. Let’s go.”
I watched silently as he dragged Jason away with him til they were no longer in sight.
“I’m sorry, Sky, maybe I am wrong for choosing for you, but trust me, I do believe you and Dakota are the best match.
The other two are still young as tou can see,” King Sattarro said before turning to Dakota.
I watched as he leaned in and attempted to whisper what my ears caught.
-” Now, son, do not let me down. I don’t want a repeat of what happened three years ago. Control your temper.”
What does that mean? I thought as I stared at the two.
What happened three years ago?
“Well, I’ll let you two talk,” King Sattarro stated and quickly exited the room, leaving me alone with my supposee fiance.
I shouldn’t be so judgmental, but the guy is dressed like he’s either a mafia lord or he’s going to a funeral.
Black suit, tie, black dress shoes, and even his handkerchief is all black, the one that he keeps using to repeatedly wipe the same spot on his black watch as if he sees something that’s not there.
Is black his favorite color? So is mine but this?
This is excessive.
Apart from all that, he’s not lacking in any way. he’s a bit taller than his brothers with a sharp jawline, long lashes that shade his dark eyes.
Although his eyes are kinda scary. They look as black as those you’d see on a demon in a scary movie. The intense stare he was giving, along with the silence, was not helping.
Jeez, is he going to talk or just stare at me?
My mind went back to when I first saw Lou. I hope I didn’t make him uncomfortable like this. I was just surprised by how handsome he is. The cream suit that he wore barely contained his muscles; his hair was also low cut, slightly shorter than Jason’s.
“Ahem,” he cleared his throat, breaking the awkward silence
“I am Dakota, Sattarro, and you are, as my dad put it, my soon-to-be wife.”
He stated flatly as he slowly stepped closer.
“I am Sky Alt… Sky, because just like you, I have a name, and I just met you, don’t refer to me as your soon-to-be anything,” I stated with the same tone as I slowly backed away maintaining distance.
I watched his eyes get darker, although I didn’t think that was possible.
He sighed heavily.
“He wants me to control my temper, yet he keeps bringing home the most ungrateful, disrespectful ass bitches.”
“Excuse m- before I could finish, he had me pinned to the bed, holding a knife to my throat. "
“Yes, you are excused, and this is the only time I’ll let you get away with being disrespectful because if you don’t straighten out, I swear I’ll make your life a living hell”
I sat frozen as he traced my throat with the blade.
“And if you push me far enough, I’ll bury your ass in my fucking backyard”
“Do you understand?”
I wanted to nod, but I couldn’t bring myself to move.
I stared back at him eyes wide, my body trembling under his.
“Please, d- the plea was suddenly hushed by the cold sharp blade.
