Chapter 7: Journey in planet 98

  [Are you finally awake?]

My vision is blurry. Maybe it’s because I just woke up, I was dreaming of something.

  Fuck…

it’s so foggy. I know it’s something important, something I should remember.

"Did I black out..? but why?"

[Probably the grass field doing its thing.]

I glanced at the system window. That thing is talkative today.I was about to stand when something something flying caught my attention.

My heart nearly jumped out of my chest. A lizard with wings.

  what the hell?

  "Don’t tell me that’s a venger."

[I think it’s called a dragon in your world]

I gave the system a dead-eyed look, as if to say 'it's the name of the animal here'

Fully awake now, I started crawling again. Not walking not yet. I couldn’t risk being killed.

The grass pressed against my arms and legs, snagging at my clothes, slowing every movement. I crawled alone, stopping when exhaustion hit, listening to the whisper of leaves around me.

Navigating the tall grass field is harder than I imagined. I crawl alone, stopping to rest when I can.

  Where am I even going?

  [Ah!]

[You’re close to the edge of the grass field.]

I feel like I’ve been played. How long have I been crawling? It’s night already.

From what I remember, this planet has 48 hour cycle.48 hours of daylight, 48 hours of night. By my estimate, it’s midnight. And all this time, through that time the system didn't show up.

It is shows up now just to tell me it’s the edge?!!.

[I was going to give you the info for free.]

[But I changed my mind. The way you look is irritating.]

I thought about using my last wish to just...beat up the creature controlling this system.

I stood up, I was about tocursing the system "YOU F-" when I saw her...

Everything stopped. She was pale gray, hair flowing black like ink. She was crying as our eyes met, dressed in northern robes. They were beautiful, simple, elegant.

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

  [One of the nobles.]

Reality hit me again as the system window covered my view.

“Oh..hi, I’m Sadie,” I said, fidgeting with my hands and i step forward.

She stepped back, so I stopped but then she still continued and wnd up tripped and fall.

“Sadie,” I repeated, pointing to myself and tilting my head.

She couldn’t understand me and that made her start to trembling that made me panicked because she’s the only living being I’ve seen and I can’t even communicate with her.

Then I heard a rustle in the trees behind her. Something or someone was coming.

A sword lay next to her. I ran, grabbed it instinctively, and let my reflexes take over.It glowed faintly. I didn’t sense danger...

  [Trying to be a hero?]

  “No,” I said.

I didn’t know how to use the sword. I didn’t even know her. But I wasn’t going to let the first living thing I saw die.

The first attack came without warning. Something invisible. Because it is using the trees darkness to hide.I froze for the briefest moment, then instinctively shifted my body to the side.

  It grazed my ear.

  “FUCK!”

  [Wow, so cool....]

The system seems to be mocking me but my focus but i couldn't even be mad as i held into my bruised ears. It just scratch.

[You’ll die as a hero. Without a statue]

I gritted my teeth, dropped to a crouch, and swung the sword in the direction I thought the attack might be coming to.My timing was off. A second strike nicked my shoulder. I winced, adjusting my stance.

“Levenge?” (are you okay?) I asked the girl behind me. She seemed confused she couldn’t understand, and the system wasn’t helping.

[She seems to be expecting you to protect her.]

  [That’s… so entitled.]

I grabbed a rock, throwing it to intercept another arrow. The arrow shattered the rock and continued toward me. I sat down, holding the sword ready.after the arrow was shot the glowing disappeared from view.

“Levenge, Sede?”(Are you okay Sadie?? she asked, coming closer.

I stood and smiled.“Yeah, Sadie,” I said, pointing to myself.

  Then he emerged.

A man, tall and imposing. Black skin, short hair with a side braid. His upper body uncovered, marked with intricate white scripture. His green eyes were sharp and focused.

I froze. Not because of fear but admiration. His presence was remarkable, perfect, like something I have written myself.

The little winged venger flew toward him, blowing fire. He dodged effortlessly, and the small creature cried out, calling others. Chaos erupted.

[Creatures have been following you. It seems they think you’re a Hever.]

“What is a Hever?” I asked.

[A Hever is what they call the goddess of nature.]

They we're all shocked when they heard me say it.

“I am Sadie, the Haver,” I said, pointing at myself, still holding the sword.

The reactions were immediate. The tall man knelt, showing respect. The skinny man jumped from the trees, which startled me.

"Haver vere!"(The goddess is real!) The girl said.

From my analysis they often use e and v in their language. This is also how they name there animals here with v and e.

"Je Haver?" (You a Goddess) He seems pissed. He's kinda skinny but again with the scripture in their body.

[I recommend using the Venger. because they are known translator of this planet]

I asked sofly,i patted the little dragon head"Can you help me?"

The one who wailed earlier smiled and nodded before it flew toward them.

  "Umm, translation test"

The creature also opens its mouth to blow a controlled fire spell into 'Umm, Gi Vrail"

I was expecting it to speak but it blew blue fire as it control

"Vi"(Working) the frail skinny guy answer and the venger seems hostile towards him but they nodded at they look at me

[They don’t know your language. They can’t translate it back.

The creatures only convey meaning through action.]

Wow, the system seems useful today.

"I am the goddess of nature sadie, i came to find the vessels"

The reason i used the goddess card, because they are respected and that is the only thing i could use so they won't ask why i am to different from them.

The venger translates it again and the skinny guy came closer to the venger and looked with curiosity.

"Re vessel??" (What is a vessel?)

The guy seems to have copied the vessel part because the venger translate it to their language. As if he's learning.

[He asked what is a vessel]

He used a few words but it seems his asking. The system translate without me asking.

"A vessel is newly made protector for planets" i said

"They are born into this world normally" i continued"they are infant's by now"

[Mavis, intellectual creatures you are talking to right now]

"I am finding them to protect them, you mere Mavis are-"

I stopped. My blood ran cold,I looked at the system it seems to know what i am going to say.

I covered my mouth as I realized not one, but five vengers were translating what i said so it would be read without needing to erase the earliest translation.

  "Mere Mavis, JE-" (Mere mavis,YOU)

The skinny man’s voice cracked with anger, but before he could finish, the tall man stepped forward and seized his shoulder. He leaned in, whispering sharply fast, urgent words meant only for him.

“I’m sorry,” I said, stepping closer.

He flinched instantly, body snapping into a defensive stance, knees bent, arms half-raised. The venger reacted too wings spreading, fire simmering in its throat until it translated my words again.

  From what I wrote.

On this planet, goddesses apologized differently. Not with words alone but with proximity. With vulnerability also blessings them.

They didn’t exist anymore. Only fragments in history.

I closed the distance slowly, deliberately, giving him time to retreat.

  He didn’t.

His breath hitched. He didn’t know what to do fight or flee. I could feel it in the way his weight shifted, unsure.

I leaned forward and gently pressed my forehead to his.

  He froze.

  “My blessing,” I said softly.

  [You’re enjoying this, aren’t you?]

  I ignored the system.

Our foreheads stayed together close enough that I could see the tension in his eyes unravel into confusion. Heat rushed to his face. He was blushing.

  I smiled.

  We held eye contact.

Around us, the night stayed quiet. The grass stilled. Even the vengers went silent, watching.

I then i look at his eyes it's red not green.

"Hever Gevin bin" (goddess are really scared of red)

Did he curse me or something?..
