“Well, let's see how this goes. Just know, judges say I'm too handsome for jail.”
“Tiny would disagree.”
“Who's Tiny?”
Javier couldn't help but laugh at the fear in John's voice as they walked from place to place in the police station. Eventually, a detective came to get them for interrogation. They started small, with Burino.
“I apologize for the rough handling of you boys. It’s just standard procedure at this point. Now tell me why somebody like you was around somebody like them.”
“You don’t know me.”
“Sure, I do, you’re smarter than you look. I was a lot like that at your age.”
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
Loosy was the nickname that was given to the detective. He would always cut loose at the best times and have a good trap set up for those he planned on catching.
“Do I have to talk to you? I have a call to make.”
“If you don’t take this seriously, I’m going to have to do some mean things to make you take this seriously. Do you want me to do that?”
Like clockwork, Burino had broken into how sorry he was and how he didn’t even know why he was there. He pointed at a few of the bruises he got from the bus.
“See, I’ve had a hard few days. We just needed a place to stay and nobody was inside.”
“Really? Then why was there fresh food inside and why being there almost a thousand barrels of [redacted]?”
“Previous owners of the place must have been making those things.”
“They must have.”
Loosy hadn’t been given anything meanwhile Burino had perfectly formed an idea of who he was dealing with. This man was scummy and a creature that wanted nothing more than to dominate others with his own mind.
“So, moonshiners?”
