Welcome back to yet another chapter,
Enjoy

The problem with a Perfect Crime is that it requires a perfect memory and while I remembered stealing the laptops, I had completely forgotten that I filled the empty space with SHIELD Protocols: Volume 14.
If the auditors opened Crate #404 and found twenty binders of safety regulations instead of the Confiscated Electronics, they wouldn't just fire me, they'd realize someone swapped the contents and they'd check the logs.
They'd see "Agent Dick" was the last one to access Sector 4. I had 24 hours to turn lead back into gold Or rather, paper back into electronic garbage.
I sat in the breakroom, staring at my lukewarm coffee.
"System," I subvocalized. "Open Shop."
[System Shop - Materials & Junk]
[Item: Bulk e-Waste (Unsorted)]
[Description: Broken PCBs, fried motherboards, tangled wires, and cracked screens]
[Price: $500 per 100kg]
"Purchase 50kg," I ordered.
[-$250 USD]
[Item Added to Inventory: 50kg e-Waste]
Now I had a pocket full of trash, Literally.
My Inventory contained an Italian suit and fifty kilos of broken circuit boards.
Now for the delivery method, I looked across the room. Jessica was at the microwave, heating up a Tupperware container. She looked cute in her grey uniform, her hair in a messy bun, She was my girlfriend and She was also my key to the warehouse.
I walked over.
"Hey," I whispered, leaning against the counter next to her, She jumped slightly, then smiled. "Hey. You're hovering."
"I missed you," I lied, Well, 50% lied. I did like her, but right now I needed her badge. My Level 1 clearance allowed me in Logistics, but Sector 4 which was the incineration zone was technically restricted during lunch hours to prevent.....well, exactly what I was about to do.
"I was thinking," I murmured, checking to make sure Miller wasn't around. "We have an hour for lunch and I know a spot in the back of Warehouse B where the cameras have a blind spot."
Jessica's eyes went wide, She blushed a deep crimson. "Toby! Here? In the warehouse?"
"It's risky," I grinned, channeling my Charm: 17. "That makes it fun, right?"
She bit her lip, looking around, the thrill of the Secret Office Romance quest was doing heavy lifting.
"Okay," she whispered. "Meet me there in ten."
12:15 PM Warehouse B, Sector 4
The warehouse was silent, most agents were in the cafeteria eating their protein meat.
I waited by the stack of tires near Row 12, I had already grabbed a pry bar from the tool bench, Jessica appeared around the corner, looking nervous but excited. She walked quickly, checking behind her.
"Nobody saw me," she whispered, reaching me,She put her arms around my neck immediately. "This is crazy."
"Crazy is good," I said, kissing her briefly, It was a tactical kiss which was Short, sweet, and distracting.
"Listen," I said, pulling back. "I have a surprise."
"Here?"
"Yeah, but you have to close your eyes and turn around."
She giggled. "Toby, if you bought me flowers again, I'm going to melt."
"Better than flowers," I said. "Just trust me. Face the wall then Count to sixty, d on't peek."
She turned around, facing the aisle of tires, and covered her eyes. "One... Two..."
As soon as she started counting, I moved....Agility: 12
I sprinted to Crate #404, I jammed the pry bar under the lid.
Creak....
"What's that noise?" Jessica asked, pausing her count at Seven .
"Just... moving some boxes to make space!" I called out, my voice strained as I levered the wood up. "Keep counting!"
"Eight... Nine..."
The lid popped and I grabbed the heavy binders of SHIELD Protocols inside.
Inventory...
This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.
Whoosh....The binders vanished and the crate was empty.
Inventory: Equip e-Waste
I held my hands over the crate, a cascade of broken plastic, metal, and wires poured out of thin air, filling the wooden box with a satisfyingly junky clatter crash thud.
"Toby?" Jessica sounded suspicious now. "That sounded like..... crashing?"
"I knocked over a broom!" I lied.
Poker Face didn't work on voice alone, but my Silver Tongue passive helped. "Don't turn around! I'm almost ready!"
I shoved the lid back down, I grabbed the pry bar and hammered the nails back into the existing holes.
Bang.....Bang.....Bang....
"Okay, that was definitely hammering," Jessica said, turning around.
I threw the pry bar behind a shelf and leaned against the crate, trying to look sexy and not like a man who just committed reversel heist.
"I was just... fixing a loose board," I said, panting slightly. "Safety first, right?"
Jessica stared at me,She looked at the crate and She looked at the sweat on my forehead.
Then she looked at the blind spot I had mentioned....a small alcove between two rows of shelving.
"You fixed a crate?" she asked slowly.
"I didn't want it to fall on us," I said, stepping toward her. I took her hands. "Now. Where were we?"
She searched my face for a second, then shook her head, laughing. "You are the weirdest man I have ever met, Toby Dick."
"But you like it."
"I like it," she admitted.
She stepped in close andWe kissed, This time, it wasn't tactical, It was relief. The crate was full of junk and the audit would find nothing but Confiscated Electronics so I was safe.
[Quest Complete: The Switcheroo]
[Reward: +150 XP]
[Current XP: 950/1000]
We were getting into it...her hands were in my hair, my hands were wandering down , slowly into her ass, gently giving it a small squeeze, I held her into my arm and French kissed her , my other hand was in her tits kneading it through her dress.
when i was going to slowly unhook her zip ,thats when the sound of a heavy metal door slamming echoed through the warehouse.
We froze.
"Voices," Jessica hissed, her eyes wide with panic. "Someone's coming."
I strained my ears.
"...audit team wants the preliminary scan done by 13:00, Open the sector."
It was Miller and he wasn't alone.
"Hide," I whispered.
There was no time to run back to the exit. We were deep in Sector 4.
I pulled Jessica into the narrow gap between the crate stack and the wall, It was tight and we were pressed chest-to-chest in the shadows.
"If he finds us..." Jessica breathed, her heart hammering against my chest.
"Shh," I pressed a finger to her lips.
Heavy boots crunched on the concrete floor.
"Check the seals on Row 10 through 15," a new voice said. Detailed, clinical. Probably the auditor.
They were walking down our aisle.
I engaged [Observe], I couldn't see them, but I could sense the tags moving closer.
[Entity: Supervisor Miller (Level 4)]
[Entity: Auditor Vance (Level 6)]
They stopped right in front of Crate #404.
My heart stopped, Jessica buried her face in my shoulder, trembling.
"This one," the Auditor said, He kicked the crate I had just nailed shut. "Crate 404. Manifest says electronics, Seal looks....fresh."
"We move things around," Miller grunted. "Wood warps, We hammer it down."
"Hmph."
I heard the sound of wood straining, the Auditor was pulling on the lid.
If he opened it, he'd see the e-Waste, that was fine, it matched the manifest.
But if he looked behind the crate... he'd see two Level 1 agents dry-humping in the shadows.
"Open it," the Auditor commanded.
"Looks like junk," Miller said, sounding bored. "Motherboards, Fried screens. Want me to count the pieces?"
"No," the Auditor sighed. "It's Just e waste. Weight check?"
He kicked it again. "Feels heavy enough. Seal it."
"Moving on to Row 13."
The footsteps receded.
We stood there for a full five minutes, not daring to breathe. The tension in the small space was electric. Fear, relief, and the lingering arousal from before mixed into a potent cocktail.
Jessica looked up at me. Her pupils were blown wide.
"They're gone," she whispered.
"Yeah."
She didn't move away. "That was..."
"Terrifying?"
"Exhilarating," she corrected. She grabbed my collar and pulled me down for a fierce, desperate kiss.
[Intimacy Event Triggered]
[Location: Warehouse (High Risk)]
[XP Gain Multiplier: x2]
We didn't go all the way, too risky, too dirty....but we messed around enough that when we finally snuck out of the warehouse ten minutes later, we both had to spend some time adjusting our uniforms.
13:30 PM, The Desk
I was back at my computer, I looked busy but Inside, I was vibrating.
[XP Threshold Reached!]
[LEVEL UP!]
[You are now Level 4!]
[New Feature Unlocked: System Shop (Weapons - Tier 1)]
[New Feature Unlocked: Skill Trainer (Basic)]
[Stat Points: 2]
I sat back, exhaling slowly....Level 4.
I opened the [Weapons] tab immediately.
* Glock 19 (Standard) - $600
* Tactical Knife - $100
* Silencer (Basic) - $300
Finally...I could defend myself, I bought the Glock and the Silencer immediately.
They appeared in my Inventory, I wouldn't carry them on my person at SHIELD, but having them in the void was a safety blanket I desperately needed.
I checked my [Stat Points] now I had 2 points.
My Charm was 17 and my Strength was still a pathetic 9, I thought about the crate. Prying it open had been hard and if I got into a physical fight, Charm wouldn't stop a fist.
"System," I thought, "Put 1 point in Strength and 1 point in Intelligence."
[Strength: 9 -> 10 (Average Human)]
[Intelligence: 14 -> 15 (Gifted)]
I felt a slight shift, my muscles felt a little denser and my thoughts felt a little sharper.
I wasn't Captain America, but I was no longer weaker than the average high schooler.
I looked over at Jessica's desk, She was typing, but she kept glancing at me, biting her pen. Every time our eyes met, she blushed, everytime was alright.
But as I relaxed, a shadow fell over my desk.
I looked up, it wasn't Miller, it was a woman. She was tall, wearing a skin-tight tactical suit that looked more expensive than my entire life. She had jet-black hair and eyes that looked like they could cut glass.
[Target: Maria Hill]
[Rank: Commander / Deputy Director]
[Level: ??? (Too High)]
[Status: Dangerous]
My throat went dry, Maria Hill.
The right hand of Nick Fury, Why was she in the basement with the grunts?
"Agent Dick?" she asked. Her voice was ice.
"Yes, Ma'am!" I stood up, knocking my chair over.
She didn't blink, She held up a clear plastic bag and Inside was a USB drive.
"We intercepted a data packet on the dark web 20 minutes ago," she said. "It was a partial upload of a SHIELD logistics manifest and The encryption key used to upload it..."
She leaned in.
"...was traced to a laptop that was supposedly incinerated in this facility three days ago."
She looked at me, then at the row of crates behind me.
"And since you are the only one on the logs for Sector 4, Agent Dick... you and I are going to have a little chat."
[QUEST ALERT: The Interrogation]
[Objective: Survive Maria Hill]
[Difficulty: Nightmare]
I swallowed, Micri you crazy son of a bitch, he uploaded the file anyway.
"Ma'am," I said, my Poker Face straining against the weight of her glare. "I would be happy to help."
"Good," she said. "Room 101, Now."
She turned and walked away.
I looked at Jessica, She looked terrified.
I adjusted my tie, Level 4 and a Glock in my inventory as well as a lie on the tip of my tongue.
"Well," I thought. "At least she's hot and definitely looks like cobie smulders, look at that ass....."
I followed her into the abyss.
