Chapter 4: Afrikaner Facility

At the Afrikaner facility where Afrikaner individuals lived, celebration filled the air. Laughter echoed through the building, glasses clinked, warriors spoke loudly of victory, and pride radiated from every corner. They were celebrating a win — a triumph that strengthened their belief in their power and unity. The night belonged to them.

  Then Nesta appeared.

At the front gate of the Afrikaner facility, Nesta teleported directly in front of the entrance. His head was slightly lowered at first, but then he slowly raised it, straightening his posture as his presence settled over the area like a storm cloud. Without hesitation, he began walking toward the entrance. One Afrikaner warrior stepped forward to block his path, placing himself between Nesta and the gate. Nesta calmly told him to move away. The warrior looked into Nesta’s eyes and immediately felt it — that overwhelming presence, that crushing aura of strength. He realized who stood before him. Fear crept into his chest, and without another word, he stepped aside and allowed Nesta to pass.

Another Afrikaner warrior, confused by what had just happened, attempted to stop Nesta himself. He did not understand why his comrade had backed down. But before the first warrior could warn him, in less than a split second, the second warrior was already lying on the ground, unconscious. It was so fast that it almost seemed unreal.

In that moment, Nesta pushed the entrance door open.

Inside, the celebration froze. As the door slowly crept open, an unnatural silence spread through the hall. The people who had been laughing and cheering suddenly felt a powerful aura pressing against them. The noise died instantly. Every head turned. Every conversation ended. Nesta stepped inside and began walking forward, moving past everyone as if they were nothing. They could only stare.

The Afrikaner leader looked at him with confusion at first. He did not know who this man was. But his right-hand man leaned closer and informed him: this was Nesta. The moment the name was spoken, the leader understood. This man… had come for the ember. He had not expected this. He had not anticipated that Nesta would come directly to them.

Nesta spoke clearly. He explained why he was there. He wanted the ember.

The Afrikaner leader refused immediately. He stated that giving the ember away would be a breach of the South African peaceful retreat agreement that had existed for many years between them. He respected that peace. He would not break it. But Nesta did not care about agreements or long-standing peace. All he wanted was the ember. He gave them an ultimatum: hand over the ember peacefully and he would let them live — or resist, and he would crush them all.

The Afrikaner leader attempted something else. Seeing that they were of the same culture, he tried to recruit Nesta instead. He offered him everything he could ever need in life — power, protection, belonging. All Nesta had to do was join them. But Nesta was no longer a man who needed anyone. He had learned how painful that could be. He refused the offer and repeated his ultimatum.

The leader then ordered his right-hand man to attack.

The right-hand man stepped forward and began forming guns in his hands from thin air. He raised one of them and fired. The bullet, filled with concentrated power, blasted forward and struck Nesta, pushing him backward toward the entrance door. However, Nesta had already blocked the bullet with his hand. Even so, the force and magnitude of the shot sent intense vibrations through his arm.

In an instant, Nesta teleported right beside the right-hand man. But the right-hand man reacted quickly, intercepting the move and countering it. Both of them jumped back, creating distance between them.

  Then the real fight began.

The right-hand man unleashed a continuous barrage of powerful gunshots. Nesta blocked them repeatedly, but the force behind each one was overwhelming. The impact pushed him backward again and again. He struggled to get close. Every time he tried advancing, another powerful blast sent him flying back. The right-hand man made sure that Nesta could not close the distance. Although Nesta blocked each shot, the damage accumulated. His body absorbed the shock. He was struggling.

  Finally, Nesta had enough.

  He manifested his power.

The shift in the air was immediate. The right-hand man did not fully understand what was happening. Before he could process it, Nesta teleported next to him again and unleashed a devastating blast punch. The force tore through the floor, blasted through the wall, and shot out beyond the houses in the facility. The right-hand man barely avoided the full impact, but he was still grazed by the blast. Even that minimal hit shook him deeply. He had not expected such destructive power.

In shock, he muttered, “Hierdie is geen ou om te onderskat nie!”

Immediately, he commanded the other Afrikaner warriors to join the fight.

The surrounding warriors manifested the same ability — forming guns from thin air, enhancing each shot with immense destructive power. Together, they attacked Nesta from multiple directions. This time, the sheer numbers overwhelmed him. The gunshots rained down relentlessly. He could no longer block them all. The impacts struck his body directly. His ribs began to crack. His muscles trembled. His breathing became unstable. The force of the attacks was unbearable.

Then, to his left, he saw something worse.

The right-hand man had formed a bazooka.

The shot fired straight at him.

The explosion sent Nesta flying through the entrance, completely crushing the gate. He landed outside, crashing heavily onto the ground. For a moment, he lay there, staring up at the sky. His body was broken and exhausted. He questioned himself. Why was he losing? He had almost not defeated his father. He believed he had grown stronger. Why was he failing now? Why couldn’t he secure the ember?

But he did not give up.

Slowly, painfully, he rose to his feet. He stood tall despite the damage. In front of him stood a large number of Afrikaner warriors. Nesta did not yield. He engaged his magnificent power fully, screamed with everything he had left, and charged toward them. The Afrikaner warriors charged as well.

  They clashed violently.

Despite the overwhelming manpower, Nesta fought them all. Blow after blow, he overpowered them. One by one, they fell. The battlefield outside turned into chaos — dust rising into the air, bodies collapsing, the sound of repeated impacts echoing through the facility.

Inside, the Afrikaner leader could only hear the sounds: bang! bang! bang!

  Then suddenly, silence.

Out of a cloud of dust, Nesta emerged, dragging the unconscious right-hand man behind him. Nesta himself was severely injured, barely able to walk properly. He threw the right-hand man onto the floor beside the Afrikaner leader.

He looked at the leader and repeated his demand. He wanted the ember.

This time, the Afrikaner leader did not resist. He did not attempt to fight. He walked calmly, retrieved the ember, and handed it over. Nesta took the ember in his right hand — and disappeared into the dust.

The Afrikaner leader immediately contacted the investigative team and informed them of everything that had happened.

Soon after, the leaders of every culture gathered together to form a strategy against Nesta. Each culture brought one of their strongest warriors. They created a secured space to discuss how to maneuver against him and how to train for what was coming. Investigations were conducted in every location Nesta had visited. The leaders decided to gather all embers into one protected area, believing that separation had made them vulnerable. Unity would strengthen their defense.

They discussed how they could trap Nesta once again in the South African abyss imprisonment. The warriors prepared themselves mentally and physically, understanding that when Nesta arrived, they would have to give everything they had. The Pedi leader explained Nesta’s powers in detail — how they functioned, how he moved, how his energy manifested. Everyone listened carefully.

The leaders of all eleven cultures and the warriors then bid farewell to those who had already risked their lives fighting against Nesta. The women who had sacrificed everything to protect the embers were honored with a beautiful cultural send-off, filled with appreciation and gratitude.

  Slowly, the noise faded.

  Everything became silent.

And the plan was about to be executed.
