59 minutes later, still unable to break the renim locked around the hinges of the box, Kaiden began to lose hope, he had one minute left on the clock to do it.

  "Cmon goddammit just break already! It can't be this damn hard!!" Kaiden screamed with anger.

  Suddenly his watch blared out loud, the one hour was up, out of nowhere Ruko appeared, his face showing a mixture of happiness and disappointment.

  Taking the box from Kaiden. "So you didn't manage to do it? that's a real shame Kaiden..."

  Kaiden looked up with annoyance. "Yeah it wouldn't fucking budge, i put so much effort into this Ruko please give me on more cha-"

  Ruko cut his off. "You pass." silence

  "W-what? i'm confused, i didn't do it, i wasn't even close, how did i pass?" Kaiden spoke with confusion in his voice.

  Ruko spoke up. "There is no hinges on the cube, its simply designed to look as if there is, the real test was to see if you could learn to funnel your renim into certain objects, even if they don't have anywhere for that renim to escape to." He pulls out another cube, handing it to Kaiden. "Try with this one, this is exactly like the last, except it actually does have real hinges."

  Kaiden took it into his hands, hesitation slightly before pushing his renim into it, bursting the hinges right open as the two sides jump up. "Oh shit!" Kaiden dropped the cube in shock, the sudden bursting of the hinged catching him off guard, he hadn't expecting it to burst with such ease.

  "HA! There you go Kaiden! The first test was to get you good at using it, which made that task like a piece of cake in contrast, with that you're already 50% there to learning the first stage of soul techniques!" Ruko spoke with pride due to the fact Kaiden managed to do it. "Now lets cut straight to it, your stage one will most likely be a sort of renim beam attack, that's what 99% normally are, this one is super easy don't worry, like 95% of people who use renim and are aware of it, can pull this off within a few minutes after that first step you did, simply stick your arm out and push the renim out of it same you did as the cube, but keep it compact by visualising it entering a rectangle this time, keeping it long yet intact and straight."

  Kaiden began trying, visualising the rectangle, pushing his renim out into it, failing for a few minutes before, a burst of renim shoots straight out, in a perfect rectangle shape. "I DID IT! I LEARNT STAGE ONE!!" Kaiden exclaimed in joy.

  "good job kaiden! now lets keep this up, ill teach you stage tw-" suddenly as Ruko speaks, a massive explosion is heard in the distance at the campsite. "DAMMIT ITS THE EXCERTION!" Ruko screaming while grabbing Kaiden's arm and pushing forwards at a super fast rate to reach the camp, where they see flames, people hiding, excertion members destroying things, suddenly though, from nowhere, Devon jumps out, pulling of combos and soul techniques against them, Futomaki devours some of them as well. The performance put on by Devon shocked Kaiden, until he was sent blasted backwards, Futomaki roaring out as its head gets sliced clean off, a samurai type man standing before it, alongside a man in black robes, long dirty black hair and scruffy clothes.

  The man spoke up "RUKO! YOU KNOW WHY I'M HERE!"

  Ruko looked forwards in disappointment, bodies lay to waste everywhere. "D-damn you Insoket.. WHY FOLLOW THEIR ORDERS?!" screaming out in mental pain. "ANSWER ME GODDAMN IT."

  Suddenly Devon charged back out, grabbing Ruko and launching him at Insoket, the three of them began fighting, as the samurai jumped towards kaiden, almost cutting his head clean off, instead just nicking his cheek, the man didn't speak, merely swung his blade, Kaiden knew he had to fight him to assist Devon and Ruko, so he pulled his fists back, preparing for the next attack, which came fast, without words, Kaiden lept forwards, dodging the sword just about, punching him clean in the gut, he felt far my athletic and agile, perhaps due to his new understanding of renim, as the samurai picked himself up, kaiden visualised the rectangle, aiming his shot before... BANG! The renim burst out, swirling towards the Samurai, who wrapped his blade in a layer of renim, cutting through the attack, thrusting forwards and swinging his blade towards kaiden, connecting with the side of his arm, cutting down, luckily only ripping off a small layer of skin, as Kaiden was focused on his arm, he failed to see the samurai charging his fist back, thrusting it deep into kaidens face, his fist covered in renim, sending kaiden launching through buildings, debris and objects slamming and slicing against his body, blood wrapped around him, dripping out his nose, mouth and the cuts all around his body, the samurai appeared again before him, holding his renim covered blade, preparing to strike, in this moment Kaiden thought back upon his life, the moment he met Aiden, the day he first entered school, his amazing 13th birthday where he went on holiday, all ruined due to one memory, the beginning of his nightmares, in that very moment Kaiden regretting it all, not simply staying in school around an hour earlier, instead he was now going to die, he suddenly felt the blade inches away from his throat, the air brushing against it, suddenly... just as Kaiden believed it was over, the blade bounced backwards, confusion struck across his face and a slight moment of hesitation in the samurai...

  stage two, renim shielding.

  stage two allows for the wielders body to subconsciously wrap renim around body parts which are under attack from objects/attacks wrapped in renim which are overall weaker than the wielders renim reserves, in kaidens case, his overall renim was stronger than the small amount wrapped around the blade, Kaiden took this moment of confusion to jump onto the samurai, bringing him down to the ground and having a tussle with him, both of them exchanging blows over and over before the samurai managed to pin kaiden down, his blade scattered far away on the ground, making him resort to chocking kaiden instead, the life slowly drained from Kaiden's eyes as he struggled to find a way out, his hand searching across the ground before landing on a broken piece of glass, he clutched it hard, the edges of the blade ripping against his skin, wrapping it in as much renim as he possible could, just before striking he wrapped his fist in his remaining renim, using that as a distraction against the man, baiting out his stage two, the second it activated to block Kaiden's fist, the glass rose up in Kaiden's hand, plunging deep into the mans throat, making blood burst out onto kaidens face, the man clawing at his own throat before falling to the ground in death, Kaiden picked himself up, walking out of the broken building, his mind in a state of shock, bodies strung across the ground, enemy and ally, Insoket had retreated a few moments prior, Devon and Ruko turning a corner, seeing the ripped up Kaiden, exchanging glances before Kaiden collapsed to the ground. His hand still clutching the small piece of bloody glass.
