Edwin, Asha, and Darius have been sent on a mission.

  Locate the seven newly missing people in Elaria.

  Over the last few weeks, three civilians and four Knights who were sent to search for them have gone missing, without a trace.

  This time, Lucius sent a squad of people for better odds of survival.

  It's not quite a high profile enough mission to send a General or Commander but two Admirals and a Sergeant should be enough.

  Or that's what Lucius thought.

  Darius had split off to search the Lower Ward on his own while Edwin and Asha look in the rest of the city.

  He walks down the familiar streets of where he grew up before something stands out.

  A trail of strange fluid leading into an alley, seeping slowly into the bricks of the road.

  Darius follows the trail, as he notices a smell.

  The smell of pure rot coming from the alley gets stronger as he approaches a man in all black with a bandana covering the lower part of his face.

  The man is slim, holding a recently used knife in his right hand.

  The man is standing over a body, breathing heavily.

  The body is that of an Admiral in the Knights, this man is a real threat.

  Darius yells out.

  "Hey! C-"

  The sound of Darius' voice alerts the man, he cranks his head to Darius, almost instantly, eyes open almost unnaturally wide.

  The man appears next to Darius without a trace, swinging the point of his knife directly toward Darius' throat.

  Darius blocks at the man's arm, just a couple inches before death.

  Darius grabs onto his wrist, twisting him onto the floor.

  The man, with unexpected strength, easily tosses Darius through the wall of a vacant house.

  Darius, on the floor, sees a knife, hovering right above his head.

  He's sure he's about to die, before a chain wraps around the man's arm and a fist wrapped in metal strikes him in the jaw, sending him flying back.

  The man stands up slowly, his mask has fallen off, revealing an unnaturally huge smile, barely held together by a shattered jaw and splintered teeth.

  The man lets his jaw loose, opening wide before looking straight up.

  He pries his jaws open as a pair of arms reach out from his throat, pulling themselves out of the body of the man.

  All three of the people standing opposite to him are horrified at the sight of it.

  A true monster.
