Skyler got up from the ground and started walking with a fast pace towards the cave, many old ruined bits of a castle were scattered around it. Which made Skyler ecstatic since she loved history although it wasn’t her dream. She traced the groves of the old walls while walking as the moss started to cover her hand.

  She flicked the moss off and then when she reached the door. She saw its rope string handle, and she tugged at it which made the rock to judder. Which made her smile since she knew that soon the blade would be hers.

  A faint gust of wind came out from the door when it was fully opened which made her hair fly a tiny bit. She gulped and entered with Luna close by. The echoes of both of hers and Luna’s footsteps made the cave more big than it was.

  Skyler noticed that Luna’s eyes were glowing and then a sphere of light came from her hand. Lighting up the cavern which was spectacular to see. of its blue hue from the river and stalactites on the ceiling. While they made their way down the stone stairwell, Skyler felt that the rocks were slippery.

  So she leaned against the wall, trying to keep herself from slipping and dying. When they got to the bottom of the staircase they saw a rapier stuck into a stone with its blade oozing a black mist.

  When skyler saw it she fell to her knees and clutched her head tightly and her eyes flashed from dark blue to purple then to a light blue.

  “Skyler?”

  Luna said while she saw Skyler motionless, kneeling and staring at the blade. She noticed Skyler's hair was turning purple. Which meant that she was seeing too many shadows at once which petrified Luna.

  Then the shadows started to scale Skyler's body like snakes until nearly her whole body apart from her head was covered in shadows. Luna panicked at the scene that was unfolding from her very eyes.

  She didn’t know how to stop what was happening since when she got close to Skyler, shadowy spikes stuck out from her covered body. She tapped her hand to calm herself and try to think more clearly. When she did she saw that Skyler’s jacket wasn’t covered in shadows.

  “Luna the jacket dumbass”

  Luna muttered to herself and quickly rushed to rip Skyler's jacket off her and wrap it around Skyler's eyes. But when she was about to wrap the jacket around them, a large gust of wind blew her away and made her hit the wall.

  Luna’s eyes were blurry, as she blinked she saw skyler stand up, tiny cracks of shadows fell off her. Also her red hair now is completely fiery purple and as Skyler's hands reached for the blade cracks formed underneath the stone that was holding the blade.

  When Skyler fully pulled out the blade the entire floor was engulfed in a black mist. Skyler pointed the blade into the air and the mist was going towards the ceiling and a purple circle formed underneath skyler.

  “Darkness impact”

  Luna cupped her ears as she heard whispering all around her like the shadows were alive and wanting them before escaping through the hole of the ceiling.

  Skyker clutched her head and looked around to see that she was sitting in a field of black roses then she saw a tree with a person holding a blade.

  “Where am I? Wait!”

  Skyler widened her eyes and sprung up to her feet and slowly walked over to the figure. When she got closer she saw that the figure was a see-through male with purple eyes with a scar on one of them.

  She noticed that he was staring straight at her in dismay and she wondered why that was.

  “Are you the primordial? The one that has been talking to me?”

  Skyler asked curiously and he nodded and pointed at her hand. Which confused her so she looked down at her hand and it had a sword on her palm.

  “Defeat me and this blade will be yours to command but if you fail I will take over your soul. Like before but more permanent.”

  He said and Skyler blinked, shocked by his bluntness and eagerness to take her body. She shivered and stood her ground. She gripped the sword tightly and put her foot forward which made the grass crunch. Which confused her since it was supposed to be her mind so why could she hear the crunching of grass.

  She shook her head to get rid of those thoughts, took a moment to breathe. And put her left hand behind her back while pointing the blade of the sword towards her target; The Primordial.

  Both of them started to circle, not daring to make the first move. She looked around but couldn’t see any shadows, she thought it was strange that the light wasn’t casting shadows but also it was her own head.

  “Well! Do you want your body!”

  The primordial yelled out taunting her. Also trying to tempt her to come at him, since he knew how hot headed she was since he saw everything she has done so far.

  “So what, you could catch me off guard! Fat chance mister I learned that lesson!”

  Skyler shouted back, she saw his anger coming out while it was great for her but she knew she needed to be careful since she really hasn’t trained in fencing.

  She saw him lunge at her; she could barely parry him, his skill was unreal to her like well since he was a god and such.

  “Oh I’m not a god you know that!”

  Skyler huffed at his statement since she knew that he was right he wasn’t a god just a creature that humans mistook as a god and sealed them away.

  “I know, sorry for my ancestors!”

  Skyler yelled and kicked his gut which made him reel back in a bit of pain but not as much that she wanted him to be. The primordial grinned at the decision that Skyler made.

  Which made her shiver a bit and took a few steps back. In fear of what he was going to do. She saw shadows of himself come from the ground and circled her as well in the same direction.

  The shadows were so eerily similar to him which made her feel more uncertain about the outcome.

  “Come on now don’t give up Skyler aren’t you wanting to be a protector or do you want to be the damsel”

  He mocked as Skyler’s eyes shone more of a brilliant purple and she swung her blade with great force without a target. Which made the blade phase through the shadow clones instead of him. Skyler felt angry at herself for getting worked up by a comment.

  She was about to take a breath but the primordial saw and took action by charging at her swinging at Skyler’s feet which made her jump into the air which he connected his fist into her gut with great force and made her fly back a few hundred yards away from him.

  And skidded to a halt on her right side causing a crater of dirt around her. She groaned, clutching her right shoulder. He walked slowly towards her like a predator getting their prey.

  “Is that it what a weakling just give me your body”

  He growled when he came closer he saw that she was getting up and looked determined at him like she was saying that he was the prey not her. He hummed and saw how wobbly her legs were.

  “I will never give up you hear”

  “I hear, you Amberlight.”

  He said while making his clones disappear and then taking a step to the side showing Skyler the way to the blade.

  “Take it”

  “Huh”

  “Just take it before I change my mind”

  Skyler nodded at the primordial’s command and she walked past him and gripped the sword tightly as whispers swirled around her getting louder and louder which made her feel so uncomfortable and in despair so She closed her eyes and covered her ears to shut them out.

  When she opened them again she saw that she was back in the tomb with Luna on the floor next to the wall; She walked slowly over to her.

  “Skyler, are you? you?”

  Luna asked curiously about Skyler’s state of mind and she just nodded at her to say yes she was herself not some old spirit, which pleased Luna immensely.

  Skyler reached out her free hand and smiled as Luna took it and looked at the ceiling as a circular hole that a sun ray came down from it which made Luna burst out laughing.

  “This was something”

  Luna yelled out and Skyler nodded as she held the eclipse blade in her dominant hand. She smirked on how much the rapier looks so cool. With its misty blade instead of being a regular iron blade or steel. It was just pure mist you can put your hand through the middle.

  “Let’s get back to my room at the hotel.”

  Skyler said hurriedly as she could feel the shaking of the ground begin. And Luna nodded in agreement. They both start to run out from the resting place of the blade. Up the stairs that they came down.

  When they left a stair it fell down onto the ground below which frightened them immensely since they were getting higher and higher up which if they fell they likely would be gravely injured or worse dead.

  The final set of stairs were failing them before as they set foot on them. Skyler used the shadow from the sun’s ray to create a platform which she pushed Luna on the platform .

  She had to jump from hers so she ran back to the edge then ran and leaped to the edge of the shadowy platform which made her let out a bit of wind while she collided with it. And hanging on to the edge for dear life.

  “A little help here would be so kind”

  Skyler grunted as she tried the best to hold on. And Luna grabbed her arms and pulled heavily and she used her feet to push her onto it while being helped.

  “Thanks”

  Skyler huffed and they got off the platform and she blinked and it disappeared back into the sun’s rays. They got out of the cave and back onto the lake edge again with its dense forest.

  They made their way back to Skyler’s bike which was luckily still hidden and Skyler slid the sword into a place holder on her bike for now since she didn’t have a scabbard or something to keep it safe for her and the people around her.

  They get on the bike and set off back towards the hotel where Skyler was staying. She looked at her watch and saw that Justin called her which she didn’t see.

  “I should call him back to say I’m safe”

  She thought while on the motorway towards the city. She felt Luna's arms tightened around her waist which made her breath quiver. Since she never had a passenger on her bike before only her dad but no one else.

  This is a new feeling to her, a thrill that she never experienced before. That made her very emotional since it was probably the first person who didn’t care about her magic.

  “Are you alright back there?”

  Skyler shouted over her shoulder through the harrowing winds of the highway. She saw in the wing mirror Luna's nodding which made her smile under the visor of her helmet.

  When they made it to the hotel Skyler tried her best to hide the blade from view since it was drooling mist on the floor every time she stood still. Which was a pain in the ass for her since she wanted to be invisible at the moment due to Luna’s presence.

  So they decided to scale the wall and break into the hotel.
